I see a lot of stars being docked because it is busy...I think thats not very fair. Our experience was fantastic and we knew going in that it would be busy, crowded and difficult to get through the line. We were wrong about it being difficult to get through the line, it actually wasnt difficult but timely. They have done a fantastic job of providing a nice card stock menu to you while you wait in line, on it you will write down the number of products that you want. When you get to the register, you give them the card and they then take the card and fill your order. Easy and efficient! Staff was extremely friendly and although crowded and rushed, we were made to feel that our business was valued. We met the manager of the bakery outside when we were parking and he was kind and genuine and grateful to be part of the operation having moved from out of state to take the job. Store is beautiful and so full of character and even with all the people there, you had a great feel! Outside there is a nice eating area with as much character. I would suggest to the staff that they make a few more rounds to wipe the tables down. Product was tasty. We ordered the bacon and cheese biscuit, maple cinnamon bun and the peanut butter chocolate chip cookie. The cookie was perfectly soft and didnt have too much pb, it was spot on! The biscuit was perfectly fluffy and weighted with just the right amount of bacon and cheese. The maple cinnamon was a bit dry for my liking, but still a nice treat! Worth the wait, worth the visit and if you slow down and enjoy the experience, youll see just how enjoyable life can be!

We LOVE Fixer Upper (the show) and Chip and Joanna... so when we were in Austin for other reasons we decided to drive up to check out the Magnolia Market. We are glad we did as we wanted to see "The Silos" and get a feeling for the town of Waco that we have seen and heard so much about on the show. Loved the idea of the food trucks out back supporting other local businesses and giving a huge variety of food options! Great outdoor area for kids (and adults) to play in. The store is very much like any Anthropologie you might go into, save that Anthro is more focused on womens clothing... and it has the prices to match! We were very surprised at how much everything cost, watching the show, we had the idea that Chip and Joanna were into trying to make things affordable for people, maybe that is true still for their clients, it does not appear to be the case for their customers of Magnolia Market! The best deal - water for $1 sold outside on hot days! ;) The bakery is maybe a little pricy, the baked goods are quite good. It is worth a splurge, both in terms of cost and calories! ;) So if you want to go to be able to have "seen it" then do, but I would not recommend going to buy things. Save the time and money of going and just go down to your local Anthropology. PS: we went on a Friday in late September (non-peak time) on a day that was overcast when it sprinkled a few times... and there were long lines most everywhere, especially for the bakery (making people wait just to get in). With near 100-degree temps, be sure to dress light and know you will be waiting a while in the sun!

We visited the Magnolia Market last week. I thought the outside area of the Silos/Magnolia Market was nice and how cool it was that they created a play/eating area inside, and added food trucks. The Magnolia Market itself was disappointing! The store was pretty much just a souvenir shop selling Magnolia T-shirts, shopping bags, tote bags, candles, etc. I was disappointed in the shopping. The home decor items that did not have the "Magnolia" stamp on them were basically mass produced stuff with a high price tag. I found myself saying I can buy this same type of decor at other stores for less. On our way out of the Magnolia Market, we stopped in the Silos Baking Co., and bought two cupcakes and a gluten free cookie. The cupcakes were OK, one was a strawberry cream and it was decent, tasted fine, and the other cupcake was a Silobration and it was dry with not much flavor. The cookie was just OK too. Cupcakes seemed to be priced as at other similar bakeries, so $3.50 for a cupcake was about average. The employees in the Magnolia Market and Silos Baking Co. were somewhat nice. I guess the good thing to say for Chip & Joanna for The Silos and Magnolia Market is they are employing a lot people to work which is a good thing for Waco and the growing economy.

First of all I want to say that I was a fan of Fixer Upper and everything Joanna and Chip do, however I must say that visiting Silos and the Bakery is a total nightmare. Today I drove more than 200 miles to visit the bakery and buy some cupcakes, when we arrived I found that the traffic was impossible and the line to enter to the Bakery was like being in Disney World waiting to enter an attraction. We decided to go into Magnolia and buy two candles, again, people could not walk inside the store and the rows was endless, but we waited patiently and made our purchase. We left ready to make the line in the Bakery, it was 5:15 pm, and when we arrived an employee told us that we could not be in line because no one else was going to enter. The Hours of the Bakery said it was until 6:00 pm ... How come 45 minutes earlier we are not allowed in the line and buy the famous cupcakes?. We had to go very disappointed and frustrated because at least you expect a place that attracts so many people, including tourists, to buy what you planned to buy. I will never go back to this place and I recommend that if you go, arrive at or before noon and see if you are so lucky that at least they let you stay on the line.

*My boyfriend and I visited on a Wednesday around 11am* It was a little busy but the line was only on the inside. We were in and out in about 5 minutes. The employee at the entrance was handing out slips and pencils so you fill out what you want and you give it to the cashier and then you wait for your them to call your name. We got the Chocolatier Cupcake as a chocolate lover, this was delicious. The cake part was light & fluffy and icing was thick and creamy. Make sure you have water when youre eating the cupcake! We also got The Silos Cookie (peanut butter chips with walnuts) and The Classic Chocolate Chip Cookie (regular cookie with choco chips). When you first bite into it, its has a crispy outer part but then you get the soft & chewy on the inside! The last item we got was the Elderflower & Rose Lemonade. I had never had a drink I could describe as delicate but this tastes amazing! It has carbonated water but the bubbles arent too harsh, theyre pretty light, airy bubbles. This drink made me feel fancy! Overall this was a great experience and it was worth the price and we will for sure be back to explore more of what Magnolia has to offer :)
