5.0 star rating 6/1/2017 1 check-in What can I say I love good donuts but to find donuts that stand above the fray is hard to do. Yet 5 Daughters is above the fray. The place The shop is very small luckily I came during an off time however when we were leaving they had a line out the door. So be prepared to wait if you come at peak hours. I would say they have 10-15 seats max The food Luckily for me they only have 5-8 flavors to choose from at a time so I didnt spend an hour wrestling over which ones to pick. My wife and I picked 4 vanilla cream, king kong (maple and bacon), Vietnamese coffee, and Strawberry Basil. My favorite was the coffee one but I can honestly say two weeks later I still am dreaming of eating these donuts and sad I dont live in Nashville. You honestly cant go wrong. I consider myself a donut conisour and these are in my top 2 donuts I have ever had. The verdict If you can charge 4.5 for a donut and stay in business you have a great product. This place is a must try if you go to Nashville and love donuts.

Coming from Memphis, I have been blessed by some Gibsons donuts. I was hoping to find a place that can fill the hole left behind in my soul when I moved to Nashville and I found this place. This place had me blown away by its dedicated craft in baking. Quality and taste-wise, this place takes the cake, compared to Gibsons in Memphis. Donuts at Five Daughters are unmistakably expensive and worthwhile. I got the Purist, Lemon Meringue, and Honey Bear per recommendation and I was not disappointed. Will be back when I am feeling homesick and in need of some decadent sugary goodness.

After hearing people rave about this place, I decided to try out one of their vegan options. When ordering the pumpkin donut, I thought that the donut itself would be flavored pumpkin. The donut is actually pain and topped with spiced frosting and pumpkin seeds. Perhaps their other donuts are nicer, but this was my experience. The staff was absolutely lovely, all in all not a bad place. I still wish my donut was worth it though.

When I travel to different cities, I look for the most interesting donut shops and give them a try. Five Daughters definitely has the most unique selection that I have ever seen! Their croissant layered donuts are textured perfectly, and all the ones that Ive tried had a great balance of flavors; though, I am not a huge fan of their buttercream filling. I would recommend trying this place if you are in the area.

Pricey but fun for the experience. Quinns are heavy and doughy but cronut type are multi layered and good. The flavors are in the icing not the cronut. Cream filled are definitely the best. Chocolate cream filled is excellent. Root beer cronut just tasted like plain cronut with crunchy sugar. The mocha donut was bitter and very heavy. Your decision if worth $4.50 each.

More than okay for a donut shop. As a bakery theres not a lot of variety, but what they do they do it well. I will come for the donuts from time to time even though one donut costs the price of a dozen in some places. One more star if they were a donut shop only, and another star if they were just a teensy less expensive. (Location location location)

Can you say MMMH mmm. good . Our corporate came to town and ordered a few for the "BIG IMPORTANT PEOPLE" (so I thought) , the bright pink box aroused my curiosity...so I peeked into the box pinched off a corner piece..........It just wasnt enough to satisfy my taste buds..1 turned into 2 .....2turned into 4...........and the rest is history...

No need to go to Dominique Ansels Bakery in NYC for a cronut; you can find them here. The milk chocolate with sea salt was our favorite. It was chewy and the filling was a light mousse that complemented the heavy doughnut. There appeared to be too much sugar on the exterior but once you scrape some off, you can really taste the flavors.

These are completely unique and totally delicious. The layer concept makes them lighter and more on the sweet and delicate versus rich and dense variety which I think is more popular in New Orleans. I appreciate the small batch flavors and the freshness of keeping it on a smaller scale. I split the king Kong and the chocolate sea salt.

I was craving cupcakes and found this place through yelp. Its TINY! but they a wide selection of sweets to choose from. The sales girl was very helpful. We got the red velvet cupcake, vanilla cupcake, and lavender sea salt shortbread. The cupcakes were a bit dry and the frosting more watery than I like. The shortbread was really good.

Honestly, if your just touring Nashville just go and take a picture with the umbrella on the wall and dont over buy bc you wont be able to eat more than one bc they are extremely heavy. The donuts arent anything special and way over priced. Disappointed in the taste but the experience of the place was cool and so Nashville!

The donuts were tasty, amazing actually! But the location is just no good. You can go before noon on a weekday and maybe find a place to park, but any other time forget about it. We made a special trip from out of town and didnt even get to go in because we still hadnt found a parking spot after 30 minutes.

Specialty doughtnuts. I thought I liked sugar and doughnuts but these were too much, I was looking forward to the 100-layer aspect and found it didnt seem that flaky and doughy, just mushy with icing and sugar. For $4.50 a doughnut I wasnt blown away. But the place is cute and service was good.

The doughnuts themselves are excellent. Perfectly light and airy, all the fancy flavors are really secondary to a well-fried doughnut. $5 is a bit steep for one (albeit big) doughnut though and I definitely wouldnt wait in a long line for them, but they are solid doughnuts.

Not my style of doughnuts, very heavy (not a bad thing!) They use high quality ingredients, its very clean, friendly staff. Everything we tried was made with dark chocolate and I am a milk chocolate girl. It was very good, just not our style! Definitely try it out!

Quaint setting, nice staff, delicious gourmet pastry doughnuts. Large outdoor area for enjoying your selections. A bit pricy if youre just wanting a doughnut, but once you have that first bite youll realize this is no ordinary doughnut.

Amazing doughnuts, alright service. The woman out front wasnt friendly, and it took them 15 minutes to bring out after I had already purchased a cup. (Love that they sell coffee from Honest Coffee Roasters, though!)

If you are thinking about this as a doughnut dont. This is a cronut, and as a cronut its delicious. We grabbed some as a group and tried several flavors. The. Best was the coconut cream pie flavored one.

Come here only if you want the best donuts youll ever eat. Coming from northern California with many visits to Portland, I had high standards and low expectations, but this is now my go to place.

Wow!! These donuts are incredible! Definitely recommend the maple bacon donut! The Cookies N cream was a bit bland.. Needed some more cookie flavor, but the blueberry lemon donut was delicious!
