I stopped by there today with my mom, who was between medical tests and had time about 1:30 today for lunch. Their special, which was basically a grilled chicken alfredo penne, but called a different name had a good flavor but was swimming in olive oil. My mom had wanted to go someplace where they served fattoush salad and we were happy that they had it on their menu but extremely disappointed with the 98% green lettuce, two bites of tomato and a few pieces of toasted pita dressed heavily in a very mildly tasting viniagrette. Maybe they were out of the other vegetables that normally make up a tasty salad or trying too hard to keep their food costs down......but the salad had so little flavor, it was basically tasteless and a long cry from any fattoush salad Ive had anywhere else. We paid $25 for the alfredo dinner with the salad plus the salad and cup of cream of potato soup that my mom ordered. And I dont know where they get their potato soup.....a can.....or just powdered potato flakes in some light broth.....but there was nothing substantial here either. I had iced tea and my mom drank iced water.........HIGHLY OVERPRICED. And I seriously doubt that the people running the restaurant today could be the same people that ran the restaurant years ago when I occasionally had the chance to dine there.....these people appeared to be Middle Eastern, not french.....their menu had also changed to include middle eastern food of Kibbe with Fattoush and Tabbouli. If their fattoush salad was so sparse, I cant imagine what this dish would be...... It seems middle eastern people are buying into these restaurants that say European cuisine and change the quality of the food. They shouldve been required to change the name of the restaurant to reflect new ownership and the change to their menu.

I ordered a chicken salad on a croissant with a small cup of cream of potato soup. I paid about 13 for this. I had planned on buying a quiche, but when I found out they were 9 each, I felt dissuaded. I felt that all the luncheon food was extremely over priced, though the deserts seemed to be priced appropriately. This bakery touts itself as a french bakery, and indeed the owner appears to be French, but Ive been to a french bakery in Palo Alto CA right across from Stanford University and when comparing the food and prices, the one in Palo Alto comes up cheaper. Im not sure how that can be considering Wichita rents are cheaper than those in the bay area, but I can get a delicious quiche cooked in crispy philo crust for about 4 bucks in Palo Alto, so when compared to their kind of soggy looking quiche that was twice as expensive but the same size in Wichita.. I just had to shake my head in dismay. The chicken salad was tasty enough, a pesto mayo blended with celery and chicken cubes and the croissant was ok though tasted a little stale and not very buttery. I think this place needs to rethink their cost of plating sandwiches/cups of soup, plus the quiches.

Whenever my husband and I are in town visitin I always insist on making at least one trip to this wonderful little gem. I love the quiche, the seafood quiche is a personal favorite along with the tomato basil soup. The chicken crepes are a favorite of my husbands. The dessert counter makes me feel like a little kid again. They are all so delicate and elegantly displayed. The prices are very reasonable. We got two brunch meals and left with tiramisu, rice pudding, four chocolate strawberries and another dessert all for under 40 dollars. Thats a great deal in my eyes and totally worth it! The service and employees are kind efficient and gracious.

First off this place has GREAT service! This cute woman with wonderful dreadlocks was eager to assist me and such a great help upon my first visit. I ended up with a magnificent croissant and bottomless coffee, best croissant I’ve had in months. I like the atmosphere of this little French style bakery. Many pastries to choose from and many varieties of quiche. I’ve not been in for lunch yet, but I assure you I will be back!

This place is great, the food is wonderful and the family that runs it takes care of their customers like no other. The soups are excellent and the croissants are perfect. Sometimes seating is a little tight as the lunch rush will fill this place almost instantly even with the expanded seating area. Take out is always a good option if you cant make it in early enough to get a seat. Their desserts are second to none.

I just saw a comment from someone saying this place is new. Sooo wrong. I have been going to this establishment since I was 4 yrs old and I am 22. I love this place. The paint job and decor outside and some inside is new but the place itself as been around for quite some time. I would recommend the pastrami on croissant. I crave this place all of the time. Fabulous place.

Food was good but pricey for just sandwiches. We are a family of 4 and spent $46. The croissants were pretty crunchy/overdone and the quiche looked burnt but my son said the quiche at least tasted good. I would have given 4 stars but was kinda disappointed that they dont offer a kids menu so my 7 yrs old had to order the $8 sandwich just to eat half.

My Husband and I love this place. We eat there all the time. We have become good friends w/ the owner and his family, since we eat there so often. They make some of our Birthday desserts. They are always wonderful and more than accomodating! I just hate that they are not open in the evenings so we could take our friends there for dinner.

This is the very best place in Wichita! The owners are like family to their guest. I have been coming here for 22 years and relocated to Florida 3 years ago. I come back several times a year and this is always a place we enjoy for our family lunches. Dont pass this place up. .. you wont be sorry!

Delicious food and wonderful service! I go there several times a week. You can call ahead your order and they have it all made and ready to go within 5-10 minutes. The desserts are AMAZING!

The food is good, but the way you order and pay is a bit chaotic during the lunch rush. You also end up eating with people standing in line right next to you. Too crowded for my preference

Best French bistro available in downtown Wichita. To find better you would have go out of state. Espresso, deserts, soups and delicious sandwiches. Expert and "authentic" staff ;)

A family tradition. Whenever were in town to visit grandparents, we stop by for a treat. Lovely little hole-in-the-wall atmosphere and friendly folks.
