We are long time Tomball residents. We have received good food & good service for most of the years we have lived here. In the last several months, we have noticed a noticeable change in how disrespectful the staff is in this place and the food has been getting slowly less palatable. The staff is terribly phony with their "scripted" "Oh, Im sorry" statements when mentioning their inatentativeness and their food quality going south. They send around another waitress or waiter claiming to be "ONE OF THE MANAGERS" asking if there is anything they can do. It is obvious that they are just throwing out phony gestures in order to quell any dissatisfied customers. When you ask for a real manager, they dont know what to say and turn around and walk away--never to return themselves or with a real manager. Complaints about the food or service are met with the same canned speech, "Oh, Im sorry". There is no offer of any assistance on the food or check due to the late notice of dissatisfaction. Again, when asked to produce a real manager, they turn and walk away. I have eaten my last meal their due to their disrespect of elderly people like ourselves and the insults of actually thinking we are so stupid as to believe their "eye rolling" teenage disrespect. They have too many teenagers working their that seem to believe that they can treat customers like they treat their parents. I have had enough of that from my teenagers, I am sure not going to continue to pay for the "eye rolling" disrespect. I believe that this restaurant is so out of touch with us older folks that they dont care and will definitely not ever respond to this sort of review--hoping it will just dry up and dissapear like the elderly generally do! My lack of patronage wont hurt them, but maybe someone else will see this and refrain from getting the same insults from the staff.

Been coming here for years so not sure what happened tonight but the service and food was way below par. My friend is a BBQ Cook-off Champion and is the one who introduced us to this particular restaurant years ago. He KNOWS his steaks and his rib-eye looked like something that Dennys might serve up on a bad day. Mine was only marginally better.Definitely werent like any rib-eye cut weve had before. His wifes medium -well done rib-eye was pink and was sent back along with our 2 rib-eyes. We had to eat our sides while waiting for new steaks. Any decent restaurant would have taken everything back and brought it out all hot and ready to eat. His wifes came back still pink so she ate less than half of it. Our new steaks were rib-eyes but mine was so salty Im having to drink water while writing this. The Onion Mums ordered as a starter never came until we pointed this out to the manageress who had come to look at our steaks when we complained. When they did arrive the sauce container was less than half full so we had to ask the manageress for more. Two more cups of sauce eventually arrived after I asked the waitress to get them after the manageress had forgotten. They were also less than half full and the sauce had a skin over it so obviously not fresh. We also had to ask twice for slices of lemon to accompany our water and asked twice for A-1 sauce. As it was our friends birthday this really put a dampener on the evening. Texas Roadhouse will have to do better next time or it will unfortunately will be the last time. BTW - despite objections from my wife and friends I did leave a tip. But it was only $10 for a $90 meal and not the $18-20 tip I would normally leave.

Let me first say that I have dined at this location a half dozen times and considered the service and meals very satisfactory. That is what brought me back each time; ie, the thought of a great meal at a reasonable price. However, my last visit was a subpar experience. Hope it is not a trend. When first seated, we ordered an app (sidekick ribs). Then ordered entrees a few minutes later. Mine was prime rib cooked Medium. Entrees and salad arrived first, but the app didnt come until about 15 later. Our server had already told us that the app would be delayed after the entrees. He said it simply was not ready. Not good. My prime rib cut was thin on one end and thicker on the other. The thin end was very dark in color and WELL DONE with a flavor that was a little off what Im used to. The other end was a little closer to Med. One bite contained a very dark crunchy substance that reminded me of biting on a piece of eggshell. I should have returned the meal and complained, but did not. Upon leaving, I did relate all this to the staff at the entrance counter and suggested they check the kitchen prime rib for quality. Ill give this place another visit. Perhaps they were having an especially bad day like many of us can have from time to time.

Weve lived in Tomball for 40 years and have been eating at the Texas Roadhouse on 249 since it opened, at least once a week. We have had consistent good service and meals since it opened until recently. We ordered our usual, Sirloin with baked potatoes and salads. The salads were about half what we usually get with very little egg, hardly any tomatoes or cheese, 3 croutons, no onion and about 1/2 the normal dressing. The potatoes were small, I had a few bits of bacon on mine, almost no butter and a few flakes of cheese. My husbands wasnt much better. At best, they were lukewarm, as were the steaks. My coffee was also lukewarm. You may get away with this in other towns but youll be out of business in Tomball in less than a year if this keeps up. Check out the Applebys in Tomball --- less than 3 years old and GONE. Our waiter was very nice and cordial but the food was unacceptable. We brought the food home, doctored it up and ate at home. Had we wanted to do this Id have cooked it myself. Total disappointment and we wont be back until someone else tells us its improved. Will be eating elsewhere till then. Must have changed managers because this would never have happened otherwise.

Have gone to this particular Texas Roadhouse quite a few times but most recently, their service and food has been extraordinarily poor. First strike was around Christmas time, the staff HOUNDED us about buying gift cards. Second strike was being placed at a nonsmoking table about 4 feet from another table who was smoking the WHOLE time. Last strike was last night...my wife and I got the sirloin and ordered it medium-medium well. Both steaks were definitely overly cooked but mine was so bad, it had all of the sides crusted over burnt. Then my wife found a two inch hair IN her steak. Manager came and asked what was wrong with my steak (I guess crusted burnt isnt obvious) so I told her. She said "I will see if I can get you another steak. Well-done right?"...clearly doesnt pay attention. Then I spoke up for my wife who wouldnt say anything about the hair which was still planted on the steak and she said "oh, that is probably just a thread from a towel. Im sorry." I could not believe her....WHAT IS A TOWEL DOING ON A STEAK? I recommend any other roadhouse until their staff changes again in a month or so
