Let me just state that the food is good but the chef must be off his rocker and no one is going to tell him he is wrong. Two visits: 3/27/16 It takes 45 minutes to get your food. Dont get me wrong ... I enjoy spending time with family, but 45 minutes for sandwiches? And this didnt occur once but twice. Also, my family ordered kebabs. They were good but well done instead of rare like requested. The very nice lady kept saying, "were so busy", but half the tables were empty. (They did discount the kebabs). January 2016: My wife and I wanted a quick dinner at 7pm on a Thursday but it took 45 minutes for two beef and lamb gyros. The menu states gyros served with choice of fries "OR" greek salad. When we ordered the Greek salad the Greek waiter said "its 25 cents extra". We said that was fine. When we got the bill it was $2.25 each. When we said something he got mad at us and started yelling and pointed to the menu where it shows the extra charge at the bottom of the menu. Why is it a "choice" if its an extra charge? Never again.

Friendly professional older male server. Food delicious. I moved here from Tn this is the 1st resteraunt I found the closest resteraunt from my new place. Whipped into the lot and was skeptical because in Memphis all resteraunts health scores are posted 0-100. So you know what your getting into b4 indulging. Since prices were cheap, server/hostess was nice, resteraunt neat and clean, WHAT THE HECK! SOOOOOOOOOO glad we did. I had hummus app, leg of lamb gyro with fries. Everything authentic. There must be a very proud cook in that kitchen! My son had the Aphordite Pasta. He loved it. He said the olives were potent. Watch out for the tails left on the shrimp too. I havent eaten my gyro yet because i was too busy eating those greek fries with the parmesian sprinkled all over. Never had greek fries. Delish! Taking my huge gyro home.

I love the Greek Isles. I have read some of the negative reviews about how long it takes to get your food, but when you go to an authentic Greek restaurant with a real Greek owner, you should expect the Greek style of dining, which is not the American version of get in, hurry to eat, and get out. The whole point is to enjoy the company you are with while enjoying delicious food. I have had many of the dishes and they have all been very good- I have literally not had anything that I didnt like. The hummus is delicious and the "Greek bread and butter" is my favorite. I understand that the food is a little pricy, but everything they serve is of quality- meat, fish, olive oil, etc. So to summarize: It is well worth my time and money to dine here. I just wish I lived in Spring and could eat here more often.

I was in the mood for Greek food and wanted to try a new place instead of my usual. We started with the hummus served with soft, warm pita bread. It was obviously made fresh, but had a bit too much garlic for my taste. You could see big chunks in it. The gyros had thick slices of tender meat with just the right amount of veggies, however again there was too much garlic in the tzatziki sauce. The chicken souvlaki was tender chunks perfectly grilled served with rice, green beans, and roasted potatoes. The highlight of the meal was the Greek salad. Chunks of red onion, bell peppers, tomatoes, cucumbers, feta, and olives tossed with olive oil and salt and pepper. Delicious! I will definitely give them another try and make sure I request them to go a little easy on the garlic.

Did not enjoy the prices, the experience, or the wait. Went for lunch and everything was very expensive here! Most meals are $12+. There are much better options in the area with better prices. We waited 30 minutes for gyros and were the only ones there. The hummus was not good or flavorful. Some of the pita was hard and stale. My friend ordered sauce on the side yet it came on the gyro. My water was usually empty. The fries were mushy and underdone. The door was open, and there were bugs flying inside and on the table! Gross. The gyro was very good, but with everything else that happened, Im not sure its enough to bring me back.

Food - The Spanakopita was excellent... Topped nicely with Feta cheese. The Hummus, however, had an odd aftertaste and the pita bread was hard. We had the Gyro sandwich, which was OK. The main issue was that the meat was sliced too thick and overcooked at the point of crusty. The tzatziki sauce was good and the vegetables were fresh. Atmosphere - Here is the main problem. The AC was not working right and was making a LOUD screeching noise when it was on. The table was perfectly clean, but at least the service was good.

Ahhh...what can not be said about this wonderfully over priced time vacuum? Got there at 7:30 on a Saturday night and it only took until 9:00 for the food to arrive. The whole time we were consistently feed bs about when the food would arrive, so there is that. Oh, and the waiter liked to play hide and seek....never the seeker. Top it off with one in our party being violently Ill and you get the idea. Belly dancers were not there, nor was space aliens or service

The food is great and the owners and staff very friendly. I did not like that the only give you 6 small pieces of pita bread with the dip combo platter and we got charged for the extra pita bread after we waited 25 mins to get it. And be specific if you with your leftovers. I asked for a to go box and the waiter offered to do it for me. He was very literal since he packed up only my food, but not my husbands. We only realized this after we left which was a pity.

I went there tonight, wanting to try it after reading the good reviews here. I got there about 40 minutes before closing and walked in. A man came up to me, and I stated that I wanted to place a to go order. I was told "were closed," in a fairly rude manner, and with no apologies or explanation of any sort. If thats what their idea of customer service is, I certainly dont want to be their customer. I definitely wont be going back.

We LOVE Greek Isles! Our friends had been telling us to try it for some time so we finally did last night. We had a few appetizers, salads, kabobs, some kind of FABULOUS chicken and shrimp dish, and of course the Baklava Cheesecake. Absolutely EVERYTHING was delicious!!! We were in heaven! Our waiter was extremely attentive and answered all of our questions. Wonderful service and food..we will be back VERY soon!!!

Everything was delicious - I had the Greek salad and Moussaka, which were prepared to perfection. Large portions. Everything hand made in the restaurant. For dessert we shared the Ek Mek - specialty of the familys home town in Greece, and, of course, Baklava - best Ive every had. Excellent service. You really need to try this place. (Theyre closed on Mondays.)
