Super high lunch prices (avg $10 for a slim sandwich, chips and a tiny cupcake), slow lines, tepid but decent service, delicious but pricey cupcakes and the invasive aroma of burnt bacon. I skipped the little sandwich box and instead paid $8 for 3 cupcakes to go (seating was full). The flourless chocolate was superb, the carrot cake was decent and l cant recall the 3rd one so maybe l gave it away. Three issues l saw: burnt bacon stinks. Ten dollar sandwiches should be huge, not the size of Trumps little hand, and every item was too expensive by at least a dollar, except for the flourless chocolate cupcake. Oh, and a 15 minute wait just to buy a few cupcakes was ridiculous. Lunch orders need a separate line from drinks and cupcakes. Lots of employees were standing around watching the one cashier.

Im all for locally owned cafes and bakery such as this new kid in town with a bakery AND cafe aura. They are open til 2pm with separate breakfast and lunch menus. I went around noon and they already ran out of their chicken tortilla soup. I opted for the quinoa bowl instead, and it came with sliced avocados and warm pita chips. Along with my meal, you get a free mini cupcake or cookie of your choice. The carrot cupcake was good and actually had real carrot shavings. I had a great lunch out in the patio and the staff were very nice and brought me my food.

Just had lunch there. Its a cute little spot in a historic house. Fancy options. I had the Monte Cristo, which was very good. It was a little pricey, but the sandwich comes with two sides and a little yummy dessert (which makes it very tempting not to leave without one of many bigger baked goods behind the glass.) So, it feels like a nice full meal.

Really like it. My first visit was a great success. They have an impressive lunch menu, and I had a BLT (with avocado) on 4 grain bread, and it was scrumptious. You get two sides and I had a salad and cauliflower, both of which were great. To add to that, each lunch comes with a free cookie or muffin. Atmosphere is fantastic and staff is nice.

Such an adorable place with an nice variety of items on both the breakfast and lunch menus. Friendly, helpful staff and great owners! A few large tables in the side room, great for studying, a few smaller tables in the front room and a few outside in their beautiful garden space. Theyve really done a wonderful job!

The portions are kind of small (my side salad literally had 13 pieces of greenidge) but the food is quite good. I had an excellent caprese sandwich and some fantastic walnut cookies as my dessert. Unfortunately, there is no soup on the weekends, so no soup for you.

Absolutely delicious and cant beat the price. I had the ham & brie sandwich roasted cauliflower and quinoa which included a free mini dessert. Friendly staff, cute location. I highly recommend!

Like others have said, portions are a bit small, and not many choices. But every dish is fantastic, and the staff is super friendly. Coffee is great, and atmosphere is quiet and relaxing.

Scratch Kitchen is a quiet little lunch spot nestled in a historic downtown home. Paninis, soups, and baked goods. Portions are relatively small, but very tasty. Service is very friendly.
