Went into the restaurant at 5:30pm today(Sunday, 8 May 2016), and sat down at the counter. After being ignored, in spite of waitstaff looking at me for about 5 minutes, I said,"Can I have a menu please, I want to order some take out." About 5 minutes later, Im given a menu. All the while, there are numerous waitresses (including, I was told later, the acting manager) standing around, either talking, or doing side work. At the same time, there were no more than 10 customers in the entire restaurant. All I wanted was a wrap and fries, and the whole process took all of 30 minutes to complete. With service like this, its not difficult to figure out why TA and Petro are doing away with sit-down restaurants, and going to food courts that are grossly overpriced, in comparison to similar freestanding restaurants. But, these same employees probably all think theyre worth $15.00 or more an hour. None of them could move fast, even if their butts were on fire.

Good as goes with any Petro/TA truck stop, however, if you need a key cut for your truck, go somewhere else. The guy in the main building who cuts keys is a ripoff. I asked about having a key cut for my T-700 and he lied to me about how much the dealer charges to have the key cut and is actually charging almost double what the dealership charges. I will be speaking to the management about the ripoff artist.

Bathroom are disgusting ,they stink of urine and feces. They dont use a clean mop, they dont mop the whole floor.the Porter picked up paper towels on the floor,than left. Thats his cleaning ritual. The next morning the bathroom stunk even more. There was the same trash in the bathroom stall from the other day. Theres litter all over the parking lot.they removed the mens room from the fuel island.

I travel to Laredo often so made this a regular stop cause the buffet was good. Salad bar and sides are still good but the meat choices are TERRIBLE! !! And PLEASE get rid of that damn fake meatloaf! I took one bite of the cake... hard, dry, stale....must be a month old!! I will find another eat spot along my route then check back here in a few months. Hopefully they improve!

For most part Ive been happy at all Petros. This one let me doe tonight. Go to the bathroom. All dirty, toilets nasty but one. Wont flush. And no toilet paper in but one. You let me down. But Im glad this is my last night driving a truck and having to use nasty public bathrooms. Clean it please and make other truckers happy to say this stop is good and clean.

I like Petro / TA, but Im not a fan of this one. The staff is super friendly, and the food is alright. My problem here is the parking lot. I get that done parking lots smell like pee, but this one will turn your stomach. They really REALLY need to clean it. And truckers need to stop using the bathroom and or dumping urine in parking lots period.

Dirty to start with the worst customer service and the shop is the worst if you can make it elsewhere you should they over charge for labor and parts after making you sit for hours and shut down the shop at night. The woman who are in the restaurant and store are horrible rude and ignore you. One of the reasons I hate going to southern texas

Like any other Petro, only thing that sucked about this place is that they no longer do Team Showers. Each individual driver needs to provide their own Ultra One card to shower. Just fueled over $400 dollars and I received 1 shower. Asked for a team shower and was told no. Had to spend points to hook my team up. Smh....

Worst truck stop ever!!!!! Got 80 gal of fuel. And just because I didnt have a URL one card. They wouldnt give a fellow trucker, that had a long day. And was sick. A shower!! Complete disregard and disrespectful to the truckers that keep there business goin. Hopefully they are proud of how they run there company!

Not even worth a star. Cant even get a shower ticket printed all because the staff is too lazy to help. They keep insisting I get a new rewards card... great. . Never coming here again never spending money here again. They dont want to help with a shower Im not spending a dime.. fair enough?

Poor service in the shop. Four hour wait to get a dot inspection and than the guy goes to lunch instead of giving me my inspection papers, even though I got him before he went to break. So I had to wait around one hour waiting for this jerk to stuff his piehole.

Ive been going here for 10 years to eat at their restaurant the IRON SKILLET, is has a buffet every day that cant be beat. All you can eat steak! And a Very good chicken fried steak. I love this place. Oh, and the staff is really friendly.

Nice truck stop wish they did their points a little bit differently for the truck drivers you have to print out a ticket on like you do it pilot which means you either have to lose your points or you spend money if you come up short

It used to be if you spent $50 you would get a shower at the service center. Now its $250 to get a shower. The parking is always crowded and trying to get a cell signal in the parking lot its hard.

I havent driven trucks in 20 years. It felt great to walk in and grab a meal and get back on to my travels. I cant speak of the showers or much ado about that because I didnt use the facilities.

Truck stop Does have a oder in mens room,. Good restaurant, Sundays are a challenge after churchs let out, many locals meet here after, so plan accordingly. I missed breakfast due to no seating.
