We had such high expectations but what a mess. We were seated on the only table between the two bathrooms - who places a table here? Its great to enjoy your meal while everyone in a line around you needs the toilet. Our server was really bad in explaining the menu, taking the orders and getting any sort of pacing right. Initially, he translated our order for "two waters" into "two iced teas" and then everything disintegrated from there. The ceviche (please see picture) was as far from a ceviche as you can get - one half avocado, a bunch of tortilla strips with a grilled shrimp, leafy greens and citrus-flavored gunge. The whole thing was served on a narrow plate so if youre sharing, you spill everything. Just plain bad. The special was a shrimp wedge salad that would look good at a friends house while they struggle with a barbecue, but not at a CIA-trained restaurant. We ordered two and the cuts on everything were totally different. Massive red onion rings compared with tiny ends; big avocado pieces and then the small. And a massive amount of bacon hid the fact the shrimps were cremated. On top of everything, I hated the nit-picky note-writing in the menu which included such gems as "No free refills on drinks (except iced tea and coffee)" which is insane since a soda refill costs less than half a cent. And then theres "Dont use your cell phones" which makes me want to give you the big **** you since its absolutely none of your business. These are the total anathama of good customer service. Aside from the atrocious service and pretty awful food interpretations, I just couldnt get passed the idea that this quality would fly with anyone. The lunch is all salads and sandwiches but with zero flair, integrity and originality. When my own mother can cook and present a dish better than a CIA chef, theres definitely something wrong - a total fail.

It was has a nice environment, but it took too long for our server Chris to take our order. My wife and I overlooked that because we were in town after a long day of traveling. Once we were served our meals, Chris never spoke to us again until we were finished. He was so busy taking care of a group of ladies that he overlooked us. We ordered only Cobb Salad because we had a late lunch. I never got to order my second beer because he was so busy with higher paying customers which means a larger tip. I am a business owner and great customer service is the ultimate goal in order to be successful. Chris needs to understand that every customer is just as important as the next. We had to wait for about ten minutes for him to bring our ticket, because he had to get a second bottle of wine for the group of ladies that had a great time... we didnt.

My party and I walked in around 7PM on a Tuesday. People were at the bar but it wasnt crowded. We asked for a table and sat near the window and was told someone would help us. After about 15 minutes we left because no one came to help us. I posted a review on their Facebook Page and they responded quickly with an apology and invitation to visit again. When we went back on Thursday 11/5/15 the server was knowledgable on all the items on the menu including the special of the day & desserts! We had a personal apology from the chef working that night we first went in. (Which wasnt necessary, but very nice of him to do!) Over all the food was good, the prices are reasonable, and the environment is great!

My first visit to Cypress Grill last night, having moved to the area recently. I ordered the "13 oz pork chop with house made applesauce." When it was served there was a teaspoon at most of applesauce on top of the pork chop. I asked the waitress if I may have some more apple sauce on the side. Her reply was yes, but there would be an extra charge for it. REALLY??? I replied that seemed odd to me since it was listed on menu and she replied the apple sauce was a garnish (even though it was listed on menu). I declined on principal and Cypress Grill lost me as a future customer. My bill was $29 for the pork chop and they wanted to charge for extra applesauce on the side!!!

Would have given it 5 stars before last night. The food was great as usual. Seems they are short staffed and not very organized. Requested a booth for four last Monday for Saturday night. Got there was told no booth was available. (there were three open. One stayed open for the first two hours we were there) Food was excellent. Waiter was young and inexperienced but did his best. Paul you may need to hire some more experienced people if there are any available that actually want to work in Boerne. I know its hard to find people to actually show up and work.

I cannot say strongly enough that this place is fantastic. Im a little late to respond, but my wife and I had our rehearsal dinner here. The wait staff, menu, wine selections, everything was absolutely perfect. The wait staff serving our party of about 20 people were phenomenal. I want to thank Cypress Grille for the great evening, it meant the world to my wife and I. I give my strongest possible 5 stars to yall!

Pretty good gourmet food. Service is awesome and the restaurant itself is a lot larger on the inside than it looks on the outside, not to mention its very cozy. My only issue is that its very expensive but not at all filling. The plates are practically sample size. My boyfriend and I asked each other where else we wanted to eat after we left this place.

We had the pork chop and the pork shank. It was delicious. Price reasonable. My pork shank was huge. So tender that only a fork was needed. Service was good. Friendly wait staff. We were seated quickly. Nice atmosphere too. Casual dining. Easy listening music. Will definitely go again!! Steak prices at 25.00-30.00. Kinda pricy.

Easily the classiest restaurant in Boerne. The servers are always on the move, making sure everyones taken care of. Most of them have been here for years. Its a reflection of the owner, Paul, who exhibits the same traits and truly understands his business is only as good as his employees he supports. Highly recommend

This is the best eatery in town ... in my opinion of course. That said, their service tends to lag throughout the meal. They are johnny on the spot till the food gets there, but afterwards, you dont see too much of them. This is consistent among their very friendly staff.

Just passed by with my wife for a quick lunch, the atmosphere was great and we followed the recommendations of our waitress. All food was delicious and well prepared, a must stop if you are in town. The entrance looks small, but the place is opening up and looks great.

Atmosphere is uniquely Boerne - hometown sophisticated. Lunch specials are the bomb - Pot pie is on our calendar (Thursdays). Service is good except the hostess is lifeless. She needs to be more personable or replaced. This is my favorite Boerne dining locale.

Atmsophere is ok--the hostess is a bit snobby--as if i cant afford to eat there--actually the atmosphere would have felt nicer if i had not felt snubbed from the start. The food is above average to very good. One of the better places to eat in Boerne
