Ive been to this bar (and live downtown) and find the staff to be one of the best group of truly professional bartenders anywhere in San Antonio. Youll always find staff from other bars and restaurants frequenting this place, and that alone should speak volumes of the service, price, and atmosphere. Youll also find a very high concentration of people who live downtown are regulars at LLs too. Drinks: They have a great selection of on-tap beer, the best Ive seen downtown. They have a full bar, and bartenders who know how to pour "generously". They seemingly have a different drink special every day, so just ask a bartender. Seating: They have a long bar, a few stationary tables, and some scattered tables for larger groups. Its a traditional "city alley bar" being longer than it is wide. Pool and darts in the back offers some more seating. Drunks: As for people getting kicked out, it happens, if youre drunk and acting the fool. The staff maintains a friendly and peaceful bar, and they do a great job sorting out the riffraff. Price: The best prices downtown. Period. Take your friends who have to see the riverwalk downtown, but start and finish the evening at LLs. Services: Darts, pool, credit card or cash Jukebox, and that computer gaming system (Buzztime I think?) that includes trivia, texas hold em, etc. that you see at a few places. A ton of nice plasma TVs scattered about make playing this system comfortable, fun, and interactive with other people. They also have occasional "events" (parties, trips, NIOSA/Fiesta stuff, cookouts, special bands, DJs, etc) that always turn out to be awesome. Oh, and LLs is the BEST place to watch Spurs Championship basketball.

Im visiting from Utah and I wish I could take this place with me, the staff ate some of the realest people Ive ever met. I can guarantee you that anybody who tells you not to come here either A: Was a disrespectful piece of crap expecting the world to revolve around them, B: Didnt tip at all (I mean seriously, these guys bust ass and Ive seen a severe lack of tips), or C: Doesnt know how to have a good time while still being a decent person. I first came on a Thursday and was able to nicely sit and enjoy one of the best beers Ive ever had, and promptly returned on Saturday. Its a completely different place when theyve got a DJ playing, and quite the party. If Im ever back in San Antonio this will be one of my first stops, and I will definitely miss bartenders like Ryan when I go back home. And seriously, people who call this a dive bar have never been to a true dive bar. Sure it might not be flashy and swanky, but at least I can sit down and enjoy my beer without worrying about being over charged for some over hyped cocktail or "fancy decor"

WORST PLACE EVER!! My friends and I would usually hang out at this place during the week or on weekends. Unfortunetly, we recently as of 08/07/2012 were victims of discrimantion. My friends because they were hispanic and me because I was a woman. I will never be going back to this place I can not believe I experienced this. I am still in shock. They (The BARTENDER AND HIS FRIENDS, THEY DIDNT EVEN WORK THERE) called me and my friends ignorant for being hispanic and a woman and then continued to taunt us as we were walking away trying to avoid confliction. WOW, I can not belive this still exist.

Awesome bar with a large variety of draft brews and liquors. A menu with specials is always valued by me. Looks like it can get very busy but I came on a slow hour on Saturday which I really enjoyed. Ms. L was very helpful and friendly and mr. David was also persistent on the maintaining the place, keeping it clean. The music selection was great and the atmosphere fits right with that of a quality bar. They have darts and pool tables for your enjoyment as well as a live band on certain days.

WORST PLACE EVER! I intend to file a formal complaint with the city of San Antonio. This place should be closed. The bar owner threw three grown men against a wall for no reason whatsoever. They had a camera and this big ugly black dude comes over and starts a fight. So it is apparently illegal to take pictures. Ridiculous! Rude and totally unprofessional. There was a much more reasonable way to tell someone to stop taking pictures than throwing weight around.

Here from SD visit. The bartender JR made me feel right at home. This guy is the a bad ass bartender, he has gone above and beyond. Im a fan of dive bar and always will be..... I have to give JR a big at a boy... Drinks were on point, service was great and... Ive never seen a bartender clean their area and still serve like this guy.... We came in for a drink and stayed for hours. This guy rocks

I would just like to say that this is the worst place to ever go! It is very unclean, crowded, and the employees are rude! The owner of this bar physically kicked me out of the place! I did not even do anything and Im a very small, petite girl, so I should not have been seen as any threat whatsoever. Thumbs down!

Great place to chill and chat with friends when theres no DJ. Great place to have a cheap drink on "$4 any drink" nights. DJs are great when they are there, but just a bit too loud for the space its in. If you need to use the restroom I suggest you hold it or use it before you leave the house!!!

Went at about 930-11 on a friday. Surprisingly uncrowded, good choice of sports channels on multiple TVs. Had a DJ that was decent. Prices were competitive for downtown. Bathrooms are the only things up a long staircase though, which was kind of weird.

This was the first bar we went to, very relaxed, and low key. reminded us of home. The bar tender gave us really great suggestions on what to do there also, which added to the great experience on the whole trip.
