Fratellos was pretty good. I liked my chicken parmesean. It was a nice size, with good flavor. The noodles were tasty as well. I really enjoyed the large slices of parmesean on top of everything. The free bread was extremely soft and went well with the oil they brought to the table. My husband got fettuccine alfredo and added chicken. This is the main reason for losing a star. The fettuccine and alfredo sauce were wonderful! The sauce was creamy and delicious. The chicken, on the other hand, was completely flavorless. It was a big disappointment. If we decided to not add the chicken, the review would likely be a 5 star, but the added chicken was extremely disappointing. I know its not all chicken, since my chicken parmesean was great. If youre getting the fettuccine alfredo, skip the chicken.

Ive been to Fratellos Deli several times and have always enjoyed the experience...today not so much...we arrived at app roximately 2 pm..after the lunch crowd..the first thing I noticed is that they seemed to have discontinued table service as we had to go to the counter and wait for someone to show up to place our order..the food was not good..the home made fries that came with my sandwich were obviously leftovers from lunch they were cold and greasy..my friends order arrived and was wrong..when reported to the waitress she just walked away and ignored the request..l was also surprised to find that we had to pay ahead of time for our order....These may seem like small things to most people but to me they indicated a decline in service and food quality...take it for what its worth.

My husband and i went to Fratellos to have lunch. And as much as like their food, their service stinks. We placed our order at the counter and our food came but as staff began showing up for their shifts, the wait staff began talking and laughing and ignoring customers. I dont mind when staff have fun, but they have to remember to keep their customers happy and check on them. Not a single one took care of customers. A friend of the wait staff showed up to visit and her daughter a toddler was grabbing all of the to go cups and mouthing them and putting them back. Not cool. Again no one said a thing. Like someone said earlier "Take it for what its worth." Good luck and think twice before getting a to go cup.

Great simple menu, delicious pasta, attentive staff. This place was a pleasant surprise. The meat ravioli with marinara, intaglio with meat sauce, and a garden salad were all solid dishes. The pasta was deliciously tender but still al dent. The decor is modern eclectic hip with zero pretension. The lasagna portions looked huge and will be my next order. Only thing to change would be the wine. The cab was disgusting. Or way over priced table wine.

Dough Pizzeria should be worried, once the word gets out about this place!! I have been looking for a restaurant that compared to Dough and I found it I ordered the "salami picante" pizza and it was excellent, probably the best I had since Verona Italy. I also had the antipasti fratello which was great as well.. I will definitely be coming here again..they also have a wood burning oven which makes the pizza taste 10X better!!

Came for pizza. It did not disappoint. We had a Margherita and a small kids cheese pie. They make 12" pies good for two, but theyre nice and thin. So delicious. Service was fast and polite. The place is new and clean in a convenient location on Broadway close to Mahncke Park. UPDATE: unexpected kids treat brought to the table for the kids meal was a sweet treat! (Fried pizza dough bites with powdered sugar.)

The hostess/counter person/server nearest the door was so aggressively trying to make us sit down for table service when we went to grab a sandwich, some grocery items, and maybe munch on gelato, we ended up leaving without so much as a bite. Not your neighborhood deli for sure. (A lesser person would have sat down, ordered my carryout, and tipped nothing; I chose to pretend the whole thing never happened.)

This has a tiny market and I advise people do a little shopping. Their meat lovers pizza is a great combo of American and Italian pizzas. Authentic as can be and the overall taste is light and spicy from the meats. Had their Mortedella and Ham sandwich which was also light and filling; they also serve pasta which is something I will try next time. I highly suggest giving this place a try.

Bread and olive oil that is brought to table is very good. The corbos chicken salad was excellent. The mushroom pizza is better than most pizza places but still not better than Dough or Grimaldis. The pizza crust was lacking the air bubbles and crunch found in most wood fired grilled pizza. Love the happy ambiance, will come back soon to try the pastas.

OMG, absolutely the best burger, yes, I know its an Italian deli! The parm fries were amazing. The food was great, the service was quick but the best part was the genuine attention that Charles gave my coworker and me. I look forward to next Tuesday as the burger is what brought me in and what will take me back. Did I mention the place was spotless?!

I really like the pasta and meat sauce (the pasta is pappardelle) and theres a small dog-friendly terrace. I wish the prices were just a bit lower, they seem a little high in relation to the atmosphere which is a clean and modern version of an Italian deli (a very small selection of imported foods is available), but not exceptional.

I love this restaurant. They have inside and outside seating along with a small market and deli to take home fresh meats and cheeses. My family ordered the Salami Picante pizza, Bucatini al Amatriciana, and Muffuleta sandwich. All of the dishes were great but I LOVED the pizza. Best pizza Ive tasted in San Antonio.

Hands down the best Italian sandwich Ive ever had! The bread was fresh and had a nice texture with a delectable combination of meats and toppings! We also ordered the margherita and the pasta Bolognese, both of which were delicious as well! Too bad we dont live in San Antonio but Ill be back the next time we visit!

A friend of mine took me there as it is one of his favorite little Italian delis in San Antonio. The menu was varied but nothing way out of the ordinary for such a restaurant. The sandwiches were kind of large but they seemed on pricy size, averaging about $12. Still, it was a good sandwich.

Over priced and they serve very very little. I have finished my plate still hungry. Didnt want to spend on another small portion for alot of money. Go to umbertos they serve you plenty for a better price and i mean plenty to where you end up taking the rest of your food home.

I had a fairly good lunch there the other day still draws a pretty good crowd however the prices did go up by $2 per entree it took awhile to get my order because my friend and I ordered together and he got his salad like 10 minutes before mine other than that it was decent

Great food and outstanding service. The food tastes like it is always freshly prepared with really good ingredients. You can also get all types of sausages and cheeses from the market counter. Everythung we have tried so far has been fresh and delicious.
