So today I tried Don Juans for the third time against my better judgement. However to please my better half I agreed to go. Simply put if you want good service and anything that would pass for decent food then you better keep driving, this is not the place for you. I ordered Steak and Eggs for breakfast and asked for Medium. The waitress was like "is that going to be medium well or medium rare?" I said medium with a little pink to which she said "okay Ill put medium rare" and I said "No, not medium rare, it should be medium with just a little pink". She said okay Ill tell them, they know how to cook it. Well after waiting about 20 minutes I was brought out an under-cooked and still bloody steak. The size was good but just needed to be on the grill for a few more minutes. I asked if they could cook it a little more and the waitress said "Ok Ill get them to put on for a few more minutes". After waiting another ten minutes I was brought out a totally different cut of meat from what I originally had and they had the audacity to call it a "steak". It was basically left over trimmings of FAT and SILVERSKIN. (Teach me to send something back to the kitchen, I guess. FYI I did not check for spit, but based on the service I would not have been surprised to find traces.) In addition to the bad food I had to flag down the waitress to get coffee, I asked when the food was brought out and was told "okay Ill be around in a moment", which she was busily collecting payment and tips off tables while I was still waiting for coffee. I eventually flagged down another waitress that had the coffee pot in her hand and asked if I could get some since I had been waiting. The issue with the coffee has happened on all THREE occasions that I have visited this restaurant. The first time there was a long delay to get our food and then we were being charged for food that was never even brought out to us as part of our order. Strike 1. Second time the service was still no better but the chicken fried steak breakfast was passable. But still had to wait long periods for refills. Strike 2. And with todays debacle that makes for Strike 3. And theyre out. (I did pay for the steak and my other half took it since we werent raise to waste food although I seriously debated sending it back again.) I did not leave a tip this last time because it had not been earned and I did not see a point in continuing to leave a tip when there is no improvement in the service although I had the previous two times. I will never ever go here again and would rather make the drive into San Antonio or Pleasanton to get food. I worked in Food Service for many years and I do have high expectations but this place did not even get out of the basement.

Worst service I have ever received. Dont waste your time. After being there for 10 minutes the waitress finally ask for our drinks. Another 5 minutes later she comes back and says she forgot what we got. We wait another 20 minutes for her to take our order which she comes back 30 minutes later and says she lost! We never got refills for our drinks or even got chips and salsa. After being severely pissed off by how shitty the service was we decided to leave. Which we had to wait another ten minutes just to get cashed out for shitty ass service and food that was not near anything for what we paid. Save your time and money folks, because apparently they cant do their jobs. We wasted 2 hours of them screwing up our lunch, we only got to eat for 15 minutes. I wont even go into how crappy the food was. Never again.

A couple of friends and I decided to eat here for lunch and we all ordered Tbone steaks with fries we asked them to cook them medium well it took about 10 mins for our food to come it was low quality bottom of the freezer tbone flat dry and over cooked.. And the fries were not seasoned at all and were deff not fresh this place is mediocre and the cooks are a joke

We waited 30 minutes for our food and they were not that busy. The rice was cold, dry3d out, and under seasoned, the beans were not hot and it tasted like the meat in them was spoiled. The building looked run down and the womens bathroom had one of the worst smells. We wont be going back and I would suggest finding another place to eat.

Terrific food, mostly great service. We live nearby so we visit often. Occasionally you will get bad service from a new waitress, or they will get your to go orders all mixed up, but 90% of the time the service is great. The food is wonderful.
