I have been to this location three times, mostly because my kids raved about visits they have had at other locations on road trips. The first visit I had the frittata and that was good but the sides were chokeable and the service was sub par from the hostess to the waitstaff. Ive tried a couple of times since and we have now sworn off any Egg & I location. The service has never improved and they are well past the trial period of a newly opened business. It seems everyone is always new, never sure of what they are supposed to do, and the front staff is careless toward the customer. The food is terrible, the last time we went both my spouse and I immediately got sour stomachs and had to head home rather than finish our plans for the day. The do not use real butter or syrup and you can tell. Ive never had anything, sides or main dish, other than the frittata that is even worth ordering much less finishing. This is an area that is desperate for options and that is the only reason I can imagine that they get good reviews. Its better to head into town for Panera if you want good, healthy breakfast options. Or just head to Dennys across the road. At least they advertise for the quality they offer and you get what you expect.

Tried it for the first time and food was ok. The service was terrible! We had to wait 15 minutes to be seated which we didnt mind at all because they were busy. We had to wait 10 minutes to get the coffee we ordered. When we added another cup of coffee it took 5 minutes to get an empty cup for coffee. Then when the thermos was out after about 10 minutes we had to walk it to the kitchen ourselves. Now to our order! We ordered our breakfast and that took forever to come out. When it finally came out they brought my dish only because they sent my girlfriends to the wrong table. We had to wait about 5 minutes for hers to come out so mine was getting cold while waiting for her dish. I never take the time to post reviews but we were very disappointed and will not be going back.

This location is accessible from the free way. It has plenty of parking space and the wait lines have not been bad the few times I have been here. The greeter and table service is fantastic. Everyone has an uplifting attitude and regularly checks to make sure my experience is awesome :-). The restaurant is clean, and the noise level acceptable. The food is delivered warm (not hot). This causes the Texas Skillet dish to be mediocre. The Egg Benedict was also so so. I wish the croissant has been a fluffy crunch but instead it was too soft and taste like a slice of bread. Still, it is one of the better breakfast places around. And the care I got from servers definitely made up for the food. A good spot for family brunch and lunch in this part of town.

The place is still new, so its is always crowded. But I believe it is crowded for a very good reason, the quality of the breakfast which they serve. I have been going there religiously 3 weeks in a row, and the staffs are starting to recognize me and my wife. I have tried all the Egg Benedicts on their menus, and they are excellent! My wife loves their Belgian waffles and coffee. Overall, people working there are extremely friendly, the quality of their breakfast is outstanding, service is great, and they are very reasonably priced. Highly recommended! Update : Possibly the only place in Northeast Houston area that knows how to make soft scramble eggs, and getting over easy and over medium eggs right.

I visited for the first time a couple of days ago with a friend. We were quickly seated. It took a few minutes before anyone approached our table to take drink orders even though the place was not very crowded. We both order a two egg breakfast. Mine came with 3 turkey sausage patties, 2 slices toast, and a fruit cup. All of it was fresh and flavorful. I was delighted to see they offer a green juice so I ordered one. It was delicious and had kiwi, kale, and apple. We also had coffee and it was good as well. The server was super nice and we had a great experience overall. I highly recommend this place.

Pictured here is Texas Skillet (w/out steak), waffles, scrambled eggs, grits and bacon. The food was good, ranch style potatoes on the skillet being the only food that stuck out. Biggest disappointment was having to pay full price for the Texas skillet without steak, as thats the biggest reason, in my opinion, for the price of the entree. I recommended to the server that they have a non- meat option to all their entrees at a non- meat price. Waited about 45min to be seated on mothers day and another 40 min for the food to arrive.... long time but server was nice and atmosphere comfortable.

Ive been dining here since theyve opened and Ive been pleased with the service here. Weekends may have a short wait but otherwise Im seated rather quickly. Ive yet to order anything that was presented to me burned, under cooked, or just bad. Once I asked for cheese on my scrambled eggs and they forgot but a single incident in dozens of visits is easily overlooked. They do seem to have new staff every few months so I dont get that, "Norm!" welcome I would like but its still a great place to enjoy your breakfast.

The Egg and I still has some kinks to iron out. Since it recently opened things are a bit chaotic. I came on a Saturday with four friends. Our waiter Edgar was new and messed up 3 of the 5 meals we ordered. He charged items that we didnt order and forgot to give 2 of my friends their side orders. I ordered the chicken vera cruz omelette. It was just okay, it lacked seasoning. I wont be running back here any time soon. Maybe once they get the swing of things in a few months. Good luck!

Ive been here a few times for breakfast dates. Food is good (Eggs Benedict, nice crispy bacon, delicious waffles and french toast, even the grits were good which normally restaurants never get right). Coffee seemed lacking but was hot and ready to go as soon as we sat down which was very appreciated. They need to better figure out their check out process because it takes way too long. I take cash now when I go so I can just hand the money and leave. All in all a good place.

It was ok... I had the avocado toast and it was excellent, but it took a while to even be seated. There was no host when we first entered the restaurant. Theres a cashier to check people out, but the host was not even there taking names. When we finally got added to the list they didnt give us a wait time. We got seated after 20 minutes of confusion. If the staff gets a bit more organized this place would offer a better experience. I would get the food to go next time.

Poor service and burned coffee. Ive had amazing experiences at other locations so expectations were high. @ 8:19am there was only 3 couples in the whole restaurant. We were seated and forgotten for 22min. Another couple came in 10 min after we did and were eating and drinking before our server "deshaun" even greeted us. Then brought me the worst burned coffee. Not coming back to this one again!!
