This place shows itself as a bar, but they charge you a cover to see some band you never heard of before. Tried to go a few other times but they always have a band going. Maybe not a bad thing if you know the band, but if you just trying to go have a few beers and play some pool, go elsewhere. Used to really like this place a couple years ago. But not paying a stupid cover just to drink some beers unless its a bigger venue and I am looking to see a band.

86d from the bar since the rowdy customers disliked me. While the bartender liked me , she still acted on behalf of the rowdy patrons. Thus, I give a one out of five stars and will tell any band I know to avoid this bar on active racism and general favoritism towards regulars. I have been in the service industry for more then a couple of months and I have never faced such blatant racism from customers and a bartender in my life.

Has a great layout but if you are waiting to be a door guy dont apply here their " laid back " atmosphere is retarded Tim says 45 and the owner said 60 I worked the door for 2 nights and was NEVER paid the 1st night is a " trial " as Tim the AV sound guy puts it I have nothing positive to say about this place just another local dive bar ran by the sound guy and not the owners so sad

The place wasnt all that bad. Its tucked away on 1960 next to a Phillipino buffet l. A few pool tables. They had live music on the night I went. The only thing that kept me from giving it 4 stars was the volume of the music. It was freaking loud! Had to scream my drink order to the bartender. The music wasnt bad either. The decibel level was though.

Acadia is an excellent place to have a drink and listen to live music. It is Fully staffed with Friendly and down to earth people. There is a patio section for smoking and plenty of spots to relax and unwind. There is also pool tables and plenty of bar games to keep everyone entertained. I will be coming back for sure.

They are awesome people who work there. Its locally owned , one of the best show producers in town! I you in The n.west area, its your best choice for origional , metal acts, out of town acts from Cally to Austin , from local. You never know what youre gonna get, but always damn good shows!!!

Excellent place to catch live original bands. Sometimes cover bands, too. Soundman is excellent, sound system is top notch, so the bands always sound pretty good. Yeah, its not exactly the Ritz...but you cant catch head-banging rockers at the Ritz.

Acadia has been the north sides landmark, live music venue. The beer is cold, the atmosphere is friendly and alive, and the staff is great. Acadia has a great live music stage where you get up close and personal with all the best bands in Houston.
