My husband and I ate here last night for the very first time. We arrived at 8:00 pm on a Thursday night. We walked to the gate they have by the street, and were greeted by a man who asked if we would like a table for two, we replied yes, inside or out, we replied outside please. He radio-ed ahead through an earpiece he was wearing to let them know inside, asked if we would like to donate to a Lieutenant Dan fund, (cash only) and when we told him we didnt have any cash he rolled his eyes and sent us on our way. We absolutely loved the decor and atmosphere! Anyone who loves the movie should check it out for sure. We were greeted by a guy at the front door. Table for two? In or out? (Didnt we already tell the first guy?) We replied yes, and can we sit outside please. He said "one minute". No problem, we wondered around the gift shop getting a kick out of everything they had to offer. He comes back and says, "Ok, table for two right?" Yes... "Now, did you want inside or outside?" Outside. (Maybe third time is a charm? Fingers crossed) Dont forget this is Thursday night, and not one person had walked in behind us to be seated. No one waiting around or anything like that.... He says outside is full. We say oh,,, ok. He says do you want inside? No, thanks, but well wait. He asks on his earpiece how long, and lets us know it will be about 20 minutes. After wondering around and soaking it all in, we see 3 couples leave and wonder back to the receptionist area. A girl walks by and lets us know they are getting a table ready. Total wait time was 20 minutes. Just like they had said. No big deal right? They take us upstairs, and as we walk out to the ghost town that is before us we count EIGHTEEN EMPTY TABLES!!!!! 18, no exaggeration. Ok, shake it off. Its vacation afterall. Waitress was really fun and nice. Brings us our two drinks, and makes some recommendations, and takes our order. We wait. And wait. And wait. We see about 12 to 15 tables occupied in the whole restaurant. She comes and says sorry guys, it wont be much longer.. We wait some more. After my husband drinks 4 pepsis, she says sorry its been so long my manager is coming to talk to you. Manager comes, says there had been a mix up. Ok... ?? She says they are making us new food now... Ok... We are slightly eavesdropping a table behind us. They had waited at least 15 minutes for their server to bring their change. We hoped that wasnt what we had to look forward to. (If we ever got our food) Anyway, we finally get our food. It was good. We were so full on tea and Pepsi it didnt even matter at that point. We asked the server what had happened, and she said that the company hired lots of people from other countries, and someone took our food to a different table. Who knows? Anyway, with an apology and free iced tea and Pepsi, we paid $50 for our two plates, plus tip, and chalked it up as a two hour adventure. (We didnt complain, or ask for any kind of discount, but I wouldnt have turned down a discount either!) We were there for 2 hours and 10 minutes... If you like the movie, it really was worth seeing the restaraunt. The food really was good. Pricey as some people have mentioned, but good. View was great! Server was nice. Basically it would have been fine if it didnt take a small army (a very disfunctional small army) armed with earpiece walkie talkies to get us a table and some food. I have never seen such a disorganized team effort to seat a table for two in an EMPTY restaurant.

We are Landrys Select Club members so we decided to give Bubba Gumps a try while we were at the Pier. We put our name on the list and were told the normal wait is 2 hours and we would be seated within 15 min. Wonderful! We get seated at a table by the windows (outside was shut due to the wind) and its a cozy table with a great view. My husband and daughter were still on their way to the table. The waitress (Jade) comes over an said "can I get you something to drink" no "hello" or "welcome" at all! I ask her to come back in a few minutes since everyone wasnt seated yet but let her know they were walking in right then. 10 minutes later and no waitress, we had to flip our sign over to have another waiter come take our drink order. Our waitress comes over to bring the drinks and ask if we were ready to order, we say just 2 minutes and I hand her my Landrys card....10 min later, again no waitress. The manager comes over to give me back my card and still no waitress. The waitress finally comes back over and I ask if I can order off the kids menu since I am not terribly hungry and she says no, so I said I then needed another minute to decide. I assume she went to confirm I could not order off the kids menu and came back to correct herself, that I could. So we place our order and our food comes out pretty quickly. The meal set up was great, kids meals come in a cute boat shaped box and the chicken sandwich looked amazing! My daughters meal is missing her salad so we wait (again) for the waitress to come over and mention we need her salad. She said "ok" and walks off, no apology or anything for the error. Our drinks were left empty for a great deal of the meal, asking other waiters for refills. The waitress had NO personality whatsoever and I dont think she smiled once while working. We paid $45 (before tip) for 3 kids meals and a sandwich (waters to drink for the adults) which was WAY overpriced for the food we got. The meal tasted great, which is why I will give 2 stars. Their sauces were wonderful too, we thought about buying some when we left. However, the service and price were just horrible...I might have been more ok with the prices had we gotten a waitress that actually spoke to us or even waited on us. Needless to say, we probably wont be back again and wont be suggesting this place to our guest who stay in our vacation rental on the island.

15분기다리라고해놓고 문자도없고 30분이지나도소식이없어서 다시물어보니 테이블 청소한다고 1분기다리라고하더군요 그러고도 소식없어서 10여분뒤 다시물으니 그제야2층가라더니 2층에서테이블에 앉기까지 10여분 테이블앉아 서버가안와서 다른서버통해 서버부르기까지20분넘게기다렸어요 배고픈 애데리고 힘들었네요 게다가 만석도아니었어요 정말서비스에따라 이렇게기분이나쁘기는처음이네요 The food was good. But service was terrible! The desk told me waiting time was 15min. After 30min ,he said we are cleaning now .please wait 1min. But from then ,we were seated after 20min and our server didnt come our table until we call her- it took over 20minutes!!! Moreover, nobody apolozied about this event and she didnt give us ordered water. We waited 1hr 20minutes from the desk to our food and the restaurant was not full. Our last night of houston was ruined by this restaurant.

TERRIBLE SERVICE. I was with a landrys select member and the host didnt list it on the table and we waited over 30 minutes to get seated. Then our server took our drink orders but never brought them. Came back to take our order and we ordered the spinach dip for an appetizer. Our appetizer came and still no drinks, had to stop someone else and ask them for waters. The spinach dip was a joke. It barely covered the bottom of the bowl dish and was about 4 bites worth. Then our server asked if we wanted to play trivia but apparently forgot and never came back with trivia. The food was mediocre. We asked for sauces with our meal that did not get served. We put out our stop forest sign and the server didnt come, no one came. Eventually the server showed up 5-7 minutes later and asked what we needed. Never got our waters refilled. Did eventually get our drinks from the bar but service was so bad we couldnt order another round. When paying the bill, we specified we did not want to use the credit on the landrys select account and yet the credit was used without authorization. All around horrible experience. Do NOT recommend going there. Also there are issues with the Landrys site when you try to search "landrys near me" and you enter a Galveston zip code it sends you to an error page. Not BGS fault but really, Landrys? Very disheartening.
