Ive heard people at work say good things about this place. I walked in and the place had a decent lunch rush so figured it must be good. I saw the thick patties on the grill and was looking forward to a tasty burger. I just wanted to pick up an order and take it back to work since I was already running late. The order line is right next to the pickup counter so people waiting for food were in the way of the cash register where you order and pay. I had to ask the people in front of me if they were in line and they said there were just waiting to pick up their food and they had to shuffle out of the way for me to get by. There was an older gentlemen that took my order. When I made my way past the other people to the cash register he said, "You ready now?" Like he saw me standing there behind the other people knowing I was waiting to order, but failed to greet me and direct me to the front. I told him I wanted a bacon cheeseburger and fries and then he mumbled something back to me. I had to bend over and turn my ear towards him to hear him ask if I wanted something to drink. I paid and he gave me a number for my order so I stepped around to the other side of the counter to get out of other peoples way. I sat down right next to the counter where there was a lady clearly yelling out the order numbers at the pickup counter. I waited, and waited, and waited, and waited for about 25 minutes and noticed they had skipped my number. I went back up front and asked for a status on my order. He looked around confused for a bit and asked people behind the counter something. Then he looked down at a sack that was sitting there. He grabbed it and said, "I call 10 times and nothing....I call 10 times and nothing". It must happen often since he didnt offer any apology or anything and seemed to be trying to blame me for not hearing him. The whole time I was listening to the lady who was clearly calling numbers out but for some reason the the guy you can barely hear and understand decides to call my number out. I was like whatever and grabbed my food and headed out in a rush because I was late getting back to work. Then, I get back to my desk, crack open my food container, toke a big bite of my burger and was instantly met with mouthful of red, hot jalapenos. I waited 25 minutes for a bacon cheeseburger but got a jalapeno burger instead. Needless to say I was majorly disappointed as I was looking forward to some crispy bacon. Not a trip to the store to stock up on some toilet paper. I tried to scrap all the peppers off and eat it because I was hungry. But I could only get through about half of it because there was just too much spicy oil from the jalapenos all over it still. The fries were good though, **shrug**. I have to give two stars because of the terribly handled order and bad communication skills on part of the staff.

OK I seen the BAD reviews... Yeah they are not over the top friendly and they arent going to powder your butt when you walk in. They have a health cert, so they cant be that dirty as some claim. I use the same spatula at home for eggs and bacon, maybe even flip the toast with it as well... FACTOID GERMAPHOBES, YOUR KITCHEN AT HOME IS USUALLY DIRTIER THAN A COMMERCIAL KITCHEN. Never had a case of food poisoning in my kitchen, and I am a a decent cook at that. So get over yourselves! The real issue is the food and expeditious service. I want my burger cooked juicy and ready to go ASAP! I dont want to talk about their last surgery, my kids dental exam or what their kids are doing at band camp with flutes! I want good food, fast service, in and out as fast as possible, as little conversation as possible and all at a fair price. If you want a delicate atmosphere for your tender little hearts to muddle over the cause and effect of stupid banter over lunches, eat at home or some new age ego-factory that caters to spoiled little twits. Facts... Food is greatness, 1/2 pound of fresh beef, never had anything but fresh veggies and sides, all food cooked to order WHEN I ORDERED, Good tea (could be a tad stronger, but it is still good tea) and most importantly, fair price for what I am getting. If you think this is a 5 star restaurant then buddy, you better review your standards. This is nothing less, than a beautiful dive for a great damned burger and the fixings for a fair price. WAY MORE SO THAN ANY OTHER JOINT AROUND!

We were out and about in that area of town Saturday night looking for a place to eat. Weirdly, Burger Bueno was the only decent place open (we were not in the market for fast food since it was also our Anniversary). They get props for that. But we would have gone anywhere else if we could have when we walked into the place. They only have bar height seating. And, as it turned out, most of their chairs were also broken. Are they trying to keep fat, old and disabled people from eating there? My husband wanted to stay so we went to order at the counter. I had trouble with the menu, but no help was forthcoming. Drinks were confusing as well. Eventually we ordered, got our drinks, and attempted to sit. Im not really into public humiliation, but, as I said, we couldnt find any place else decent open. The food was nothing to write home about. My husband said the Guro was tasty. I thought the tater tots were too salty. My cheesesteak sandwich was ho hum. Family Pancake House on Illinois makes them much better. Needless to say we wont be back. And we really dont recommend it either... unless you are in the neighborhood and not much else is open.

In my opinion, there is not a better burger spot in all of Dallas. Places like Jakes and Village Burger are decent, but compared to Burger Bueno they are drastically overpriced and cant hold a candle in terms of quality, taste and bang for the buck. This place is a locally-owned, mom and pop shop that serves made to order, flame-grilled burgers right in front of your eyes. Their food prep is as transparent as can be, you see exactly what goes into the preparation of your food, and they use only the freshest ingredients. The servings are beyond generous, the taste is beyond words and the prices make it too good to be true. On top of that, the couple that owns it is as nice as can be. I have never written a review for a restaurant before, but this place goes about business the right way and deserves your business. It is locally owned, moderately priced, and in my opinion serves the best burgers, chicken sandwiches and gyros this side of the Mississippi. You owe it to yourself to give Burger Bueno a shot, you wont regret it!

Clean your bathroom Please! I tried this place based on the high reviews online. It doesnt look like much on the outside, and unfortunately its about the same on the inside. The main area is clean enough (could be cleaner), but it is sorely lacking in dining space. Further, the bathroom here is really bad, with a broken cieling tile and what looks like mold underneath. Please read this review and clean your restroom guys, it made me very nervous to eat here! As for the food itself, I had an avocado chicken sandwhich and it was quite good. Large portions and a totally reasonable price. The chicken was nice and juicy. Ive seen this in reviews a couple of times, clean your damn bathroom, it totally killed the enjoyment I would have had.
