Plum Coffee.( this is a review of plum i did in my journalism class) I’m the type of person who likes to wake up early in the morning to meet up with a friend at coffee shop; however it’s difficult to find peace and calmness at a local Starbucks, which are prone to being crowded and noisy. I was stumped for a period time, frustrated with the obnoxiously loud scene Starbucks offered. Where in cypress was there coffee shop that didn’t scream “Starbucks!” After taking my search onto the internet it was only a matter of minutes before I came across Plum Coffee, located on Barker Cypress Rd. After scrolling through multiple photos of the coffee shop I knew instantly I had to go. What puts Plum Coffee aside from Starbucks is the 50’s theme it offers. Multiple vintage pieces are displayed around the coffee shop such as a record player, a typewriter, and even old Hollywood movie posters. Besides the theme of the coffee shop I also enjoyed the silence. Plum Coffee isn’t usually swarmed with customers and if they are the customers remain respectively silent, light chatter among them and their friends. Though, it’s not entirely silent. Music is played throughout the coffee shop bringing life to the retro theme. Plum coffee is rich in diversity on terms of food and drinks sold. The shop offers deliciously baked pastries, sub sandwiches, tea, coffee, and much more at a reasonable price! A personal favorite of mine is the snicker doodle Frappuccino with a tandoori chicken sandwich on the side. The sandwich is absolutely delicious and it takes no time for the employee’s to make. Plum coffee also has an incredibly generous staff. When asked if I could have a refill of my tea the usual young man that works at the coffee shop was more than happy to make me another hibiscus mint. When I tried to pay for the drink the employee was very kind, stating it wasn’t necessary. Plum Coffee is bringing something new to the table and with their business booming they’ll be soon offering movie nights along with poetry readings (so I’ve heard). They even now have a drive thru window open so customers in a hurry can grab ahold of their preferred drink or meal. Plum Coffee is definitely the coffee shop to go if you’re looking for an inexpensive place to sit in. I give it 5 stars.

Ive never written a review on Google, but I feel like this place really deserves to be recognized for how amazing it is. My friends and I have been going to Plum Coffee regularly for a little over two years and it has never once underwhelmed me. The service is warm, the atmosphere is quaint and unique, and, last but not least, the coffe and pasties are far above the competition. Starbucks aint got nothin on this place. Please try it out and see for yourself!

I never write reviews but felt compelled to do so after some exceptional customer service I received. In a day of clock watchers and people ready to leave work a minute before theyre supposed to, I was blown away that the staff there was literally walking out the door and saw me pull up and proceeded to go back inside and make me coffee even if it was 7 minutes after closing time. That, to me, was unbelievable! Thank you Plum coffee staff!

This is definitely the best coffee shop in the city. Their exceptional customer service combined with their delicious coffee makes for a worthwhile coffee run. Thats not to mention their relaxing music and retro furniture makes for a calm, distraction free, studying environment. Theyre definitely doing it all right.

No. The milk was screaming from being oversteamed and the latte was extremely watery and bitter. It looks like a great place if you want a sugar-filled flavoured coffee but but awful if you want a decent non-sugar filled coffee. Staff were nice though. Australians - do not come here looking for good coffee!

Just had a drip coffee but it was delicious! Im an afternoon coffee drinker and at other places its got a burned taste by then but their coffee is the freshest I can find, especially at 2pm. Great ambiance as well! Ill definately come back in to hang out. Great meetup spot. Support small businesses!

This is the best place for chai and Im extremely picky. Better then nordstrom cafe. I told people about this place dont how many come here now but wont recommend going anywhere else. They are the friendliest people I know as well.

My husband and I frequently visit local coffee shops around Houston. This was a great little place. They have a table that has chess tile on top and you can play. It was a great game experience!! The coffee was good too.

This is an interesting coffee shop. Worth a stop on by, if have some time. They have a small collection of older things that add to the ambiance of the coffee shop. Their iced coffee is quite good as well.
