SUPERB! ALL-AROUND GEM! The Tex-Mex food is well-prepared. The service is exemplary. The atmosphere was pleasant, both inside and out. This time, my wife and I both tried their Platillo Sur (3-enchilada combo, with beans and rice). The beef and sour-cream chicken ones were loaded with generous portions of mildly-seasoned meat. The cheese one was also great. After continuous refills of chips and salsa, we were barely able to finish our entrees. On our other two previous visits, we enjoyed ice-cold beers and excellent frozen margaritas from their well-stocked and pleasant bar. This time, we were pleasantly surprised to find that, unlike many other restaurants, their iced tea was full-bodied and a long way superior to the colored water we are often overcharged for at other restaurants. And we got out of there for a few cents over $23, plus a well-deserved tip. The staff was attentive without being at all pushy. Our glasses were never allowed to be empty. They seemed to have a good team spirit, willing to help their coworkers and were attentive to details. Their Cross Roads location is an excellent restaurant for couples, friends and families and well-worth checking out. Once you do, just like us, you’ll be back. Check out their highly-varied menu online.

We will not be coming back, first time eating at this place and a horrible experience. Our 8 year old sons hot dog bun was hard, so he took the dog out of the bun and ate it... fine. Then after a few bites I realized the waitress brought me a chicken burrito not a pork, I was busy taking to my husband I didnt pay much attention. I wasnt going to eat anymore of it, because it wasnt very good, and then my husband brought it up to the waitress when she came back around and she kind of said sorry took my plate and walked away then brought our check to us. My husband was upset that we werent even offered a correct meal or anything! He took the check up to the manager and made him aware and he proceeded to say "how did your wife not realize it was chicken not pork", rather than get into a yelling match about being rude to your clients my husband handed him his card he paid for it and we left. The manager STILL had the option to take it off or even acknowledge the mistake and he chose not to! SO RUDE! Were new to Texas and have felt that businesses here are so polite and helpful.... NOT THIS PLACE. SO JUST KNOW IF YOU COME HERE AND YOUR WAITRESS BRINGS YOU THE WRONG FOOD YOU WILL BE FORCED TO EAT IT AND PAY FOR IT.

No no no!! This place needs its Mexican Restaurant name taken away! I looked around for a good mexican place and read some reviews hoping someone had a good experience and Im not sure if these other people ate at a location that doesnt exist because the location I went to turned into a horrible experience. Maybe I am a little too picky and actually like some flavor on my food, if thats the case then you should go to this restaurant if you like to pretend you are eating mexican food but dont want the taste, in fact its more like eating tofu with some tortilla chips. Please do not waste your time eating here, there is no good food and actually the salsa taste like ketchup, yep, ketchup...I thought that was interesting as well. Oh, and dont forget the sticky short tables that make you feel like you are sitting on the floor and rubbing your arms on the last persons meal. If these are the things your looking for then this place is for you

I am sorry, but I have to say our last visit at best, was ok. We have been there several times and always enjoyed it, but the last time we went 02/27, it was disappointing. The waitress was fine, but the mixed fajita plate for 2 just wasnt very good. The beef was tough, the chicken was ok, and then shrimp really had not flavor. We ate a lot of chips because we all were so hungry, but they were not a fresh as they usually are. Were not taken Villa off our list because it is close and convenient. But they are in the penalty box and we will wait a few months before trying them again. We have a large family and it comes down to value for our dollar to eat out. So $75+ for Villa or $30 at Taco Bell??

Was in and out in 25 minutes (wouldve been 10 but they forgot us while we waited at the bar). My margarita was lime juice and tequila, absolutely 0 triple sec. The syrup on the coke ran out so my husband drank a jack and coke-flavored water. We were seated and the salsa came out-it was tomato paste with a little cilantro. Ordered the guacamole and it was like eating a salt lick. I waited tables for over 7 years at 5 different restaurants, I am a really easy person to please and I have a ton of patience because Ive been there...we left before even ordering and went to Fuzzys down the street. Ive never done that before. Thats how bad it was.

Weve been here a handful of times now, and every time weve been, the food has always been as hot and fresh as can be, coming out quickly after an order is placed (even on a slow night). The house margaritas are just a tad too sweet for me, but I prefer more of a tart margarita. The wait staff are present without being overbearing; for me, its the perfect balance. Overall, its definitely a great Tex Mex restaurant and it will always be on our options list for a night out.

The manager was very rude towards a veteran, and refused to give a military discount and claimed they hadnt done military discounts for last 4 months, when she had gotten one just the week before. He eventually agreed to getting her 10% off, and after we were billed found out it was only 4%. Highly disrespectful and I refuse to go somewhere that wont stay consistent with honoring our veterans and military personnel.

Food was good but service was terrible. My 20 year old daughter and i went in lunchtime on Sunday. We each had the spinach enchiladas. While waiting at least 20 minutes, we ate all the chips and emptied the bowls of hot sauce and had to ask for more. When we paid with cash, the waiter took way too long to return with the change. They were not busy at all. Will not go back.

Totally depends on the waitstaff. Most the time our server is quick friendly and on point! They have the best premium margaritas around and food is good too. Have had a bad waiter once or twice that tried to pass off a frozen batch margarita as top shelf until we went and talked to the bartender. Other than that though weve got here 30+ times with great experiences

Tough rating. 3.5 stars. Food great, service meh. Appetizers should come out before the meal not with. Chips and salsa should be at least warm. If I ask you about an item on the menu there is only 1 really unacceptable answer. "I dont know" Good food so will return sit in the restaurant not at the bar. Ticket times for a less than 1/3 full too long.

With all the great mexican food in the Dallas area, this is not one. The service was very slow. ,the salsa tasted like something out of a cheap jar, and the entrees were below average. We wont be back. Youre better off going to Fuzzys Tacos up the road. Better food, service, and price. I really wish some good restaurants would open in this area!
