I will start by saying Im so impressed with the food... I will follow with, Im very hard to please when it comes to dining out. We are camping on Crystal Beach and we came here to grab a bite and watch the game not knowing the wonderful yummies that awaited! The owners are a sweet couple who take pride in their establishment, primarily their menu. They recommended an off the menu item, shrimp and grits... Let me tell you, Im a shrimp and grits expert... Or I THOUGHT I was. This dish blew my damn mind on every level. The presentation, smell, taste... 5 stars! I also had the seafood gumbo which I usually dont prefer over chicken and sausage (I compromised with the girlfriend this time). It too gets 5 stars! The crab meat was so succulent and clean, the consistency was perfect! Im from southern Louisiana so you can imagine how much of a gumbo snob I was bred to be. Bottom line, if you are in Crystal Beach you MUST visit this establishment!

Do not waist your time here. They have an excuse for literally everything. They are "out of bacon bits" "the gravy is cold because they are busy" "your food is cold because". Not to mention I waited over an hour for my food. That wasnt fresh or complete. After trying to resolve our issues several time just getting excuses. We spoke to the manager/owner or whoever she is. Was a huge bit**!!! Insulted us right to our faces! Saying its people like us that make them look bad. After she sent our food out cold, and shrug her shoulders every time we complained about something. Ive been in the food industry for a long time. And everything I experienced here tonight was absolutely unacceptable. This place needs some serious changes. Its jeeps go topless weekend. This place should be packed! They are dead! Even with a live band! I paid for my drinks, left my food and walked out. Horrible horrible place!!

We attended a large party at this place July 26th... bad mistake.. service was terrible - waitresses rude and poorly trained... for those of the group that was served the food ranged for really good to nearly inedible... to in come cases just crap. I visited with the owner several times and she and her husband were totally clueless as to how to manage a large group of customers.. maybe if 10 or 15 showed up they could deal with it but no more than that can be served out of that kitchen. I watched the kitchen staff work for a while and after that I refused to eat anything that came of of that cave.. dirty - the staff could not have passed any type of food service review-- just not possible.. no hair nets.. wiped hands on their pants... touched food with their dirty hands.. sampled food from the bowls with used spoons... I mean a friggin dump.. eat at this place at your own risk...

Have been eating there for years, but cant deny the fact that the service we received this weekend (July 14/15/2017) was the worst ever! Cannot begin to describe the scowl on our servers face, she appeared to hate life or at least all the patrons who were there spending money. My wife and I were in no hurry to eat... we understand the tourism and evening rush....take an hour to get our food to us...who cares!!! But to be treated as if we were a burden on her very existence, YOUR IN THE WRONG BUSINESS! She did take the time to complain about having been there since 10am....but was instantly pissed if you need a drink refill....and her walk to the bar to retrieve some steak sauce might has well been to the gallows......food has always been fairly good....but two longtime customers are DONE! For all I know she could be the owner, from the reviews I have read THEY could care less!

Well I got there right at about 8:20 I was told they wasnt taking any more to-go orders I have been trying to call since 7:45 their phone had been busy the whole time so I decided to drive there like I said I got there at 8:20 the waitress told me they could not take my order because it had two big tables come in and sent me packing out the door last time I was in town on vacation ate there for 5 times it was great the food was amazing the really was disappointed and being sent out the door packing with no food and nothing to eat and have plenty of time prior to close into a been able to serve me it was only me and my husband not to mention they would kindly rude not saying I wont eat there again because like I said the food was amazing just didnt expect to be told they couldnt serve me tonight because of two tables that came in they should have accommodated me

This is that diamond in the rough!!! The food was INCREDIBLE! Definitely worth prices! Some may be deterred by the atmosphere as its an old garage shop. However the service is very friendly and the beer is cold. What more can you ask for! The strawberry daiquiri that I started with was amazing!!! Then the homemade breaded mushrooms!! And finished it odd with a taco salad! So good! The cheese sauce makes the taco salad! The rest of my party had the fish tacos, shrimp kisses, crab stuffed jalapeños, and seafood platter. All loved their choices. Note that the seafood platter comes with fries and a side salad- this can easily feed 2 people!! Must visit!!!!

Had horrible service. Could not get waited on. The lady we asked for assistance was rude and obnoxious. There was a room to the back because they were crowded, we asked to sit there and she said for us to imagine there wasnt a room. She said there was a table towards the front. We went to the table and no chairs. She said someone else got them. We asked if we could bring chairs from other room and she said JUST IMAGINE THERES NO OTHER ROOM. Needless to say we took our business else where. Steves Landing was awesome. Food and service. This lady was probably in her 50 - 60s. RUDE. RUDE. RUDE Cant say anything about the food, didnt get that far.

Hit this little place on the way back from Crystal Beach expecting a hole in the wall. Now it looks like it could totally be a dive, and thats what I loved!, but the food, wow. I had the philly cheese steak, I truly believe it was in the top 5 best ever! The bread was soft and hot with the crip underneath from being toasted and the flavor OMG the flavor of the meat made this thing boom! My girlfriend had these jalapeno cheese bacon shrimp wrapped things that were out of this world! And the service, down home Texas service. The bartender/server was phenomenal. She was so attentive and kind. This is our must have when we come down here from now on!

Unbelievable. Never been here before and I ordered a steak Medium rare definitely came out medium to medium well. Bartender took my steak and took it to the manager. Manager comes back and throws the dish rudely on my bar and tells me to cut the steak again. And he then proceeds to argue with me. Leaves the steak and Im guessing hes expecting me to pay for something I didnt order. . Even the guy next to me is saying that its Medium well. I still tipped the bartender $20 on a $70 tab. So it was never about the money. Its about customer service and hospitality. If you want to come to a place that ignores you, this is the place to come
