Where do I begin? We went here to eat for the first time today (Fathers Day.) We were a party of 7 adults and 2 children. When we arrived at 1:30pm, we were told that it would be a 20 minute wait. We sat and watched as 3 separate couples arrived and ushered to a table. When the 4th couple was about to be seated, I finally asked why they werent seating us and I was told it was because they only had 3 waitresses so they were waiting so they wouldnt be overwhelmed. That upset me because they had no problem seating other customers as they came in!! I threw enough of a fit that they finally seated us at 2:39. I asked to speak to a manager after overhearing the hostess telling her coworkers that I was being "pissy." The "manager" who came over was just a kid who looked like a bus boy. I told him our experience and while he listened, nothing changed...we didnt get better service, thats for sure. Then, our food didnt come until after 3:30! I asked to speak to the owner but that wasnt possible because hes also the cook...his wife came out instead...holding a baby. She apologized and said they arent usually this busy. Yada. Yada. They ultimately offered us free desserts. I will say the food was really good but everything else about our Fathers Day meal here was HORRIBLE! I will NEVER eat here again!

Would have liked to try the place but now will skip it everytime...called to order a pizza based off a suggestion by someone local...it was 925pm and they close at 10pm... server put me on hold and said let me ask if the kitchen is still open??? She comes back n gave a lame excuse they were deep cleaning... Dont u clean everynight??If their business is open till 10pm then they are open until 10pm and a pizza takes 10 minutes. They had 35 min to close.. I even told them I heard it was pretty decent but if you dont want to accommodate a customer and that is your line of business then you dont need my money. Just lazy... too bad as I hope the owner sees they have unreliable unaccommodating employees ruining there reputation...Went to another local place that closed in 15 minutes and I had no problem

Inconsistent and rude. Discontinued dishes because they are lazy and they have very poor service. Staff will argue with you if you ask for something as simple as eggplant on pizza, even if they have done this a bunch of times before. And they have frozen eggplant in the back that they can simply put on the pizza. :-( Also, dont bother if you want something unique or authentic as far as Italian goes. Difficult staff equals = no quality in a product. :-( I miss quality Italian food..... do not go here- you WILL be disappointed. I promise.

They messed up my to-go order. My mistake. I should have checked before paying. In the future, I will not expect them to do something as simple as getting the order correct. Oh yeah, and Ashley, over the phone, literally told me to drive 25 miles back to the restaurant and they might trade me the pizza if they find everything ok with the one they gave me erroneously. Thank you so much for great customer service!

5 stars is not enough. Huge portions, very fair pricing, the best place in Bastrop and possibly the best Italian restaurant in central Texas. Every entree Ive tried was delicious and prepared by a trained culinary staff. Go early to avoid the wait, but plan on enjoying every single bite. This has become the only restaurant I patronize in Bastrop. Yes, its that good.

This place is the best. I moved to Bastrop from Austin and the food scene here is relatively tragic, but Bassanos is no joke. Great stuff. Every dish is amazing, they give you free bread (plus will let you take extra home), and they let you switch out your pasta for veggies in each pasta dish (for the low-carb folk).

From the first time I walked in there and tasted REAL NY STYLE pizza, I was hooked. The food is a nice change from the same old stuff in Bastrop.. The owners and staff are just the nicest people... always accommodating special requests! Prices are very inexpensive... Fresh garlic rolls.. ADDICTIVE!

Im a native Austinite and my husband and I lived in Bastrop for the past five years. Italian food is my favorite cuisine and Bassanos is by far my favorite Italian restaurant in the Austin/ Bastrop area. The food tastes fresh, the soups taste homemade, and it is reasonably priced.

IT WAS OK, THE DEEP DISH PIZZA THOUGH IS NOT DEEP DISH PIZZA AT ALL!!! IM FROM CHICAGO SO I KNOW WHAT A DEEP DISH PIZZA IS SUPPOSE TO BE AND THE "DEEP DISH PIZZA" HERE IS NOT AT ALL. HORRIBLE THAT THEY CALL IT DEEP DISH, ITS JUST REGULAR PIZZA WITH FREAKING THICK BREAD!

Asked for a well done pizza and the toppings were raw! Waited to be seated no acknowledgment and waitress was not attentive. We had stopped coming here cause food was not consistent and now that we came back it reaffirmed what we already experienced. Not coming back.

20 students and 4 adults were met warmly and served equally. Thank you for being our good luck charm Tuesday April 18th. Dramatic Jackets performed our best show of the season and won state uil oap contest. Thanks for making our pre-show meal a winner.

I like Italian but dont eat pasta. They consistently allow me to substitute items to fit my needs. For example, this is Chicken Siciliana. Instead of pasta, they serve it over spinach. They also make a great cheese-less pizza for me!

We ordered wine and a mixed app dish and soup, food was terrible and the new waitress had no prob charging full price for a meal that we ate less that 10% of. Wont go back even though I frequent the salon and Bella laser!

Such a great place to go and enjoy really good food. One of the best places in Bastrop County. Love taking friends there for their first time to eat there. If you love Italian food you will love Bassanos.

Visited on Mothers Day and naturally very busy. Decided to call in order instead of dine in. Ordered 7 dinners and it was ready in 25 minutes which was great considering it was a Mothers Day afternoon.
