This restaurant was the worst experience Ive ever had the service was slow the staff were really rude. Me and my friend were walking downtown looking for a place to eat and we walked by Quattro and we walked in where we were asked if we had reservations which we didnt. The hostes looked annoyed which we didnt understand the restaurant was practically empty so we didnt understand why this was an issue. Sure enough she let us stay she asked for our drinks and when we told her we like to wait a bit while we looked through the menu she got annoyed and walked away. Later we were approached by a different waiter who was nicer than the waitress and he actually made the experience bearable. Throughout the dinner what I assume was the manager or owner kept on looking at me and my friend in a rude manner making us feel unwelcome he even came over to ask again if we had reservations and agin we said no and that were almost done which at that point he rudely walked away. When it came to pay the bill they couldnt split my and my fiends order and they made a whole ordeal of it. I literally was disappointed by such harsh treatment. I hope this warns people about the service in this restaurant.

I cant say whether the food was good or not. The service was so awful after twenty-five minutes of waiting we werent even able to order drinks. Our server also had a table with about 11 people; and I understand being busy, but it seemed he was uninterested in anyone in his section besides the big table. After we were sat by the hostess our server came by our table and asked "Oh, has anyone told you todays special?" and ensued in barking the special in our general direction. We asked what wines were available by the glass and he off-puttingly pointed at the three on the back page of the wine menu and walked away never to be seen or heard from again. We watched him chat with co-workers and ignore the other small tables in our section. The gentleman at the table next to us had to wave his empty wine glass at the hostess to get any service. Its a shame the food might have been wonderful. Ill never know because Ill never return. I wanted to treat my girlfriend to a nice dinner date before I had to leave town. Luckily we went to a neighboring restaurant and were treated splendidly!

I went to Quattro Gatti for lunch this week, which I believe is the second week they have been open. My friend and I decided to take a gamble on it even though it has no website or online menu (why???). Anyway, we were not disappointed! Prices are fairly reasonable for lunch, paninis are around $8 and pastas average $10-$14. The pizzas were a tad pricey in my opinion, some went up to like $17. With every meal you are served bread and garlic olive oil, which was really delicious. I had the vegetarian panini and it was very good, not bland at all (which is not easy for veggie fare). The whole restaurant had a great vibe and since it is newly opened, about 5 different people checked on us to make sure our dining experience was top notch. It took slightly longer for the check to arrive than I would have liked, but I am generously chalking that up to the its recent opening. All in all, I would definitely recommend this place to downtown workers looking for an above average lunch.

This was probably the worst customer service I have ever received. The waiters were condescending and rude. The pizza was burnt on the outside but still under baked in the middle. We didnt receive plates and had to use our bread plates (FYI our bread was burnt as well). When we asked our waiter for Javier for plates he looked at us like we were crazy and was like "well for how many people?". Honestly I rarely leave reviews, but had to give a fair warning to anyone who wants to eat here. I heard all the great reviews and was greatly disappointed with the food and service. Save your time and money and go some place where people actually know how to give customer service.

Last night my family went to Quattro Gatti and enjoyed a wonderful meal outside on the sidewalk of Congress. We decided to try a couple of the appetizers: Bruschetta, Parmesan French Fries, and Magarita Pizza. For dinner we had the fettuchini bolognas, chicken parmesan dish and Sea Bass. Everything was delcioius!!!! The portions are a nice size, especially the chicken Parmesan it is enough for 2-3 people. Needless to say everything was wondeful, the staff was very friendly, the owner was very hospitable and came over to talk to us. He actually makes the incredible bread that everyone is talking about every morning. You should definitely try this restaurant!!!!!!!!

The owner greeted us and knew my name based on my reservation. He personally sat us, went over the drink and special menu and checked on us during our dinner. My girlfriend had a personal pizza and I had the chicken parm. Both of our meals were cooked perfectly and our appitizers were delicious. Our waiter was attentive and personable. The atmosphere is outstanding and the entire staff is knowledgable and friendly. The overall experience was outstanding and if you are looking for a date night spot, a night with the family or just a fine place to eat, this establishment is second to none.

Fantastic venue and superb food! Both dishes we had were full of flavor. Theres surely something for everyone on the menu. One of the best Italian meals weve ever had. The staff was friendly and accommodating...we had some questions about the vegan options to which our waitress wasnt quite sure about so she deferred the questions to the owner for surety. Gianfranco, the owner, came to our table twice to make sure we had everything we wanted and to chat for a few minutes. Overall great experience. Highly recommended for anyone in Austin craving Italian food with a beautiful setting.

I have been going to Quattro Gatti for four years while my wife has been going for six. Everytime we go, we are never disappointed. The food is always on point and the wine is superb. If you go, get a special. Never have I ever eaten the same dish twice, because of the delicious specials. This restaurant is a significant place for me and my wife. It was here I learned about real Italian food; It was here that she fell in love with me and it was here where I proposed. I will never stop going to Quattro Gatti and I will make sure that others learn about this delicious hidden gem.

The food is consistently delicious. Very authentic New York Italian and I heard next to no complaints in the many months I worked there. Very popular with the Congress lobbyists and legislators because of the service and location. Regulars are greeted by name and favorite seats are remembered! Full bar and wine cellar, the owner is very hands on and delighted to recommend wines. Gluten free and vegan dishes are available and dishes can be tailored at the discretion of the cook. I recommend everyone to try it out, foodies especially! (Im very much a foodie.)

Where do I start? We took a large group of people here for a Friday night dinner and we were beyond disappointed. The service was terrible. (Our waiter was Javier) The waitstaff was rude. The bread was burnt. The olive oil left a lot to be desired. The pizza was also burnt and yet somehow still doughy?? The wine was drastically overpriced and the one we tried was terrible. (The Texas Sangiovese). I wouldnt recommend this place to anyone. Dont waste your time, money, or belly space at this place. Austin has way too many great other food options to eat here.
