Excellent little cafe. Its one of my local friends favorites. I went there for brunch. Service was good, just a little slow at times (it was peak hours). We had the eggs benedict, salmon toast, and croque for our meal, all 3 were fantastic. The salmon toast took the cake as our favorite, although the croque was not far behind. Finished off with an order of their famous beignets and some coffee. Beignets were great, their coffee is subpar, but not the biggest of deals. Negative comments: the acoustics of the place is not good, you can hear the kitchen just as well as you can hear your neighbors. Their coffee is not good, which for a cafe is definitely not ideal. Their space is rather limited, which makes for a nice cozy environment, but when the place is packed it becomes a bit too cozy and people often end up getting waitlisted. No outdoor seating is also a bummer. Overall, experience there was great, negative comments are not deal breakers, Im looking forward to going back during the weak and trying some of their soups and sandwiches. Oh, they also have "groceries" as far as beer, wine, cheese, and beauty products are concerned, but I didnt find it noteworthy. Convenient, I guess, if you go there often and dont like to go actual grocery shopping every week.

Adorable set up and decor. White colors everywhere, light wood, sunlight pouring in, I feel refreshed just stepping in here. I would take mom here or girlfriends here anyday. The items on sale along the walls are unique & I wanted to buy them all. Pricey though, so watch out. From high end chocolate bars, hard to find jams, to a cooler of assorted cheeses and cuts of meat, youre bound to find something you love. I tried both the salted chocolate chip cookie ($2) and shortbread cookie ($1.5) and both were good. The salted chocolate chip cookie was a bit crunchier than Id like, so I cant say its my favorite. It was chock-full of chocolate chips & just the right amount of salty. It was about the size of my fist. Granted, I have a small fist, but still. But what stole the show for me was not the chocolate chip cookie, its the shortbread cookie. Buttery, crumbly, perfect! If youve never had a homemade shortbread cookie, youll have to try theirs. Buy an extra one so you can surprise someone special!

Epicerie is a cute French/Cajun bistro, with a variety of food specialty items for sale. The charcuterie options-- cheeses, salami, peppers, jams, olives-- were excellent. The atmosphere is quaint and European; this is a great place to meet up with a couple of friends for brunch on the weekend, or to pick up some antipasti for a dinner party. I recommend the Eggs Benedict for brunch-- the bread was homemade and soaked up the Hollandaise perfectly; the sausage was tender and flavorful, and the eggs were cooked perfectly. I will definitely go back to try their Beignets, which they serve at any time! The cortado (coffee) I had was good. To give you some price perpsective, I paid around $17.00 for brunch. While this place might not be the cheapest in Austin, the atmosphere, the food, and the laid-back, clean vibe are worth an occasional trip.

Was extremely excited to try this place after reading the reviews on it. The menu isnt very big, there are options for everyone. It is a smaller place so on a busy day I can see it getting very crowded. There is a little grocery inside. The parking is very small and the lot is NOT made for any cars that have low clearance, there is a lot of pot holes, so make sure to park on the street. The people are friendly but sort of in their own little world. Sometimes, they dont pay attention to your needs or when you make a request, but on the 2nd or 3rd time they get it. The sandwiches are large, but dont come with sides. There is a good amount of wine/champagne to select from. In addition there are a lot of good desserts after as well. The price is reasonable.

I dont know where else to classify the table situation other than the service. The food was good and the atmosphere was awesome. Staff was friendly and the wine situation is fantastic. My complaint comes with seating... I totally understand and like the farmhouse/family style seating. Im totally cool with sharing a table but Im not ok with "sharing" a tiny four-top with strangers. For a $40 meal, I at least like to have a semi-private conversation with the person Im with, not literally rub shoulders with someone Ive never met. Just didnt seem to work. Epicerie, please please please either purchase larger four-tops that make the shared-table dining more pleasant or exchange the four-tops for two-tops that can be pulled together.

A little on the pricey side and the food is just okay. I ordered the granola and yogurt with a side of bacon and a mimosa. For $5 the mimosa came in a very tiny glass. Maybe it was the same amount that you would get in a regular wine glass, but the smallness of the glass made me feel like I was being ripped off. The granola was fine, but a little on the chewy side (must have been mixed with some kind of molasses). The bacon is where I have a problem for $3 for a side of bacon, Id like it a little less crunchy than the hard burnt pieces that I had on my plate. Overall it was a cute little shop, but I wasnt impressed by the food I had.

I really like this place. Unlike others, Ive had great service. This probably has to do with the fact though that Ive went during less-crowded week nights after 8PM. Ive sampled most of the menu and have thoroughly enjoyed the burger, as well as the spinach salad. Also, the cookies and lemon bars are great. What really makes this place for me though is the outdoor patio. It can be (and was) incredibly romantic on my last visit, and really just made the experience even better. I hope this place survives, and maybe some of the experiences that others have had can be attributed to "opening jitters".

I think 3 stars "Its okay" is exactly how I feel. For dinner the burger was fine, if not a little overcooked. The sausage entree (which may not be offered now) wasnt great. Really for dinner Id give it 2 stars. For brunch the beignets are delicious. Really all of brunch was really tasty, including the hash and smoked salmon. Id give brunch a 4-star rating, hence the overall 3 stars. Its a cool space, but the type of food doesnt quite match the "order at the counter" process. Ill probably go back at some point, but probably only for brunch.

My wife and I stopped by for dessert around 9pm. We found it be very charming and welcoming. It has a casual and modern atmosphere, yet its also fancy enough for a nice date night. Moderately priced with some very unique items on the menu, including a Shaved Wagyu Beef Sandwich. They also offer craft beers, high end chocolates, and blue bottle coffee by the bag or prepared. But the piece de resistance (since its a French place) are the beignets. $5 gets you 3 piping hot beignets covered in powdered sugar. Just order them.

I called to ask if they take reservations. The person answering the phone said "no". Then I asked what might be the waiting time on Saturday lunch. She said "they have no idea", and didnt offer any advise on a good time to get there, or inquiry about how many people we were, nothing. However, she said I could call 30 minutes before the time I would go. I guessed this restaurant is so crowded that they are absolutely not interested in getting new customers or setting a reservations app of any sort.
