I treated my son & family to the Waxahachie C.C. yesterday as a belated fathers day outing. I have to say I am very pleased. I dont care for fast food, despise eating at chain restaurants & unless absolutely necessary, stay away from them all together. Cowboy Chicken is nothing like that. First....I love chicken & own a rotisserie, as I steer clear of fried foods with the exception of a few times yearly. Second.....I prefer only eating all natural, organic foods even when eating out. Third.....Im frugal to the point of almost being ridiculous about it. I am happy to report C.C. met all my quirky requirements. We ordered a variety of dishes & all were yummylicious. I got the grilled chicken breast with creamed spinach & black eyed peas. If I couldve, I wouldve eaten a platter of the spinach. Im a scratch cook from Louisiana & Ive never had spinach so tasty. My 2 yr. old grand daughter fed herself the spinach. Thats huge kudos! The peas were a tad salty, but the flavor was amazing. My son tried the BBQ drums w/ fries(& something else). He even thought the fries were spectacular. My daughter in law got the rotisserie dark with spinach & corn fritters. The fritters were better than any place theyd had them. I ordered an extra plate of the BBQ drums just to be able to taste one as not to take away from my sons! OMG...yummy. The fried okra was great too. Even the tea was memorable! I want to go in next time just for dessert! I didnt see coffee on the menu, but..... Other than my chicken breast being a tad bit dry, salty peas, & the rolls being hard, I can honestly say this place rocks. Being a scratch cook, I make these same mistakes at times. With everything we ordered, portions were plenteous, we had enough left over for my sons next day lunch & only spent $35. Like I said.....every quirk satisfied! I live in Wylie, TX & have already located the C.C. in Allen. Thank you so much for sticking to home cooked goodness, natural choices, daily deals & seniors discounts. You have to try it for yourself. Huge step above the normal chicken dives.

Ive always loved Cowboy Chicken and frequented the one in Carrollton for years. This Allen location provides horrible customer service. I ordered two enchilada plates to go because i was pressed for time and i am sitting here after 35 minutes and STILL dont have my food. They are more worried about their delivery orders than they are the customers sitting in front of them. If they are going to run a delivery service, they need to run two lines in the kitchen: one for delivery orders and one for in restaurant orders. Until they can get more organized, theyve lost my business.

Great eating! A happy, professional, staff just like the one in Plano. Great food and more importantly REAL food. The peach cobbler is crazy good. A refreshing experience and a fine example of how restaurants should have been like if it wasnt for fast/fake/chemicals-full food. Great for kids and all other ages. Others can keep their kids at Chick-Fil-A and convince themselves its not awful for them just like KFC, we, Texans, can be proud to have this chain as a better & local alternative

I was so disappointed with our last experience. My husband try to place a phone order for pick up and the person was so rude and told us that we need to give an hour notice for all pick up orders. My husband told him that were regulars and no one has ever told that before. Nevertheless the phone conversation ended bad and my husband cancelled the order and sword that we will never go there again. We refuse to pay for bad service.

The green beans tasted like they were from a can. The twice baked taters tasted off and the baked Mac n cheese was worse than Kraft instant Mac n cheese. The chicken was good but that was it. The teas were off the table dirty and sticky. This was worst experience Ive had a cowboy chicken. Dont know if Ill go back to this location.

Vaquero Chicken was very good. I was visiting and stopped with my son Jon and my dog Nena. We ate outside. We were treated very well. At first we were the only diners on the patio, but when we left there were three more groups. Beautiful day and great service.

Great food for almost every age... Atmosphere is family friendly, music is fun to listen to if youre into Western, and seeing chicken being roasted is wonderful! The only thing Id recommend is for staff to provide superior customer service more consistently.

I have no words. The worst food I have ever had. The chicken was rubbery, the bread was soggy, and the peach cobbler was uncooked which had the worst taste that I spit it out. Only good I can say is that the corn fritters were okay. Lost me as a customer.

Oh My God. Best BBQ drumsticks ever, the okra is to dye for, and the mac n cheese is just pure bliss in your mouth. I also had the blackberry cobbler which i am not a big cobbler fan but damn it made me speechless. I will definitely be coming back here.

Ive eaten at other Cowboy Chicken locations and the food is good all around. Didnt like the BBQ sandwich I ordered this time, but thats preference. The sweet tea here was amazing and the bathrooms were very nice. Had to clean my own table though.

Ive only had excellent experiences here. The chicken is fantastic, creamed spinach was delicious, watermelon tea was incredible. I highly recommend a visit here!

Oddly enough, my family and I enjoyed the sides more than we enjoyed the chicken. It wasnt bad, but it was just slightly better than a costco chicken.
