*Edit*... Soooo... had a bad experience on their opening night but decided to give it another try. Some of the kinks still need working out and the wait staff has a lot to learn, but the pizza was A-M-A-Z-I-N-G!!!! (didnt get to try it the first time) The ownership clearly listened to all the bad reviews on Facebook and honestly made a real effort to correct any missteps, and fast. Opening on a Saturday, closed Sunday, and we returned on Tuesday the following week and it was a total 180... a surprise to say the least. Some said that they thought the pizza was small or overpriced, but the most expensive of the three that we got was around 12$ or so... for a large. I mean, papa johns and the like are good and have their niche, but their prices are the same or more and this pizza is legit. If youre looking for 5 star service this place isnt it... just yet, but if youre looking for great authentic style pizza at a reasonable price then you cant go wrong. Started a 1 star for me and now its a 5 just on the pizza alone. Kudos to the staff for taking the time to listen to their customers and doing something about it.

I dont normally submit reviews, but this is an exception. Ive been waiting a very long time for a brick oven Pizza restaurant to open within reasonable driving distance so I was so excited to see Calabrias sign as I drove by last week. I took some of the family in last week for a test drive so to speak........wow......wonderful Pizza! If you are set on 16-18 inch $9.00 pizzas pumped out by the hundreds by the big chains this might not be your place. If you are looking for 12" inch hand crafted works of delight you should go in and try them out. They make some of the best tasting wood fired brick oven pizzas Ive ever tasted from the Pacific to the Atlantic. The crust is made fresh and perfect with the lightly charred underneath and smokey flavor you can only get from a brick oven! And for around $9-12 per Pizza. And the service was great...to be fair,it was right before closing and there werent many people at the time we visited. Thanks Calabrias for making Mt Juliet your home....you have a fan here! I hope you will be around for a very long time!.

I have been chasing this place for a few weeks but unfortunately they were closed on Sundays. Yesterday I had the big surprise to found them opened and to try their pizza. This is the only brick-oven pizza place in Mt. Juliet and Hermitage area and they have best pizza! It was really WOW, a good experience and it definitely exceeded my expectations as far as taste, service and cleanness. In other words, this pizzeria is spotless. I do recommend their pizza to anyone who’s looking for quality vs. quantity. Me and my husband ordered 2 large ones and one small for our child. It was more than enough for all 3 of us. The owner took time to talk to us and he also surprised us in a good way with the Nutella pizza for desert even if we didnt order it. We were not charged for it. I was very impressed with that one too, super tasty. Overall I had a great experience at Calabria and we will definitely return more often.

Went in with my boyfriend for lunch. We sat next to one another in a bench seat holding hands and maybe I kissed him a couple of times. There were two other families in there one lady with a small child and another lady with a 17 yr old or maybe a bit younger. The owner came up to our table saying this was a family establishment and he proceeded to tell us to "act normal", we were just dumb founded thinking what did we do that was abnormal , its not like we were making out or groping one another. My gosh were in our 40s. Seriously act normal!! We were so appalled that we took our food to go. We did ask the two families around if we were inappropriate and they just said they thought the owner was really rude to say that to us. Terrible experience, to say the least! We will never be back. The food wasnt even that great.

I have seen Mt. Juliet grow into what it is today. I am honest when I say this is the best pizza in Mt. Juliet. We used to go to NYNY, but this will replace our Sunday spot! They use fresh ingredients (even fresh jalapeños and not the pickled kind!) and their brick oven allows for the perfect crispy, aromatic crust. I tried their latest menu item, the calzone, and was pretty happy. I personally use more sauce so will request more next time. Also, the spinach calzone was delicious but needed something salty so I may also add a meat in there for more flavor. Overall will keep supporting this local, family ran restaurant!

Sorry guys...I really wanted this to be awesome. For the price, it was a very small pizza (4 slices per pizza), all the toppings were piled in the middle of the pizza, the Caprese salad had no dressing when I got home, appetizers werent available, it took 1 hour 25 minutes for 2 pizzas. Ive opened restaurants as a server and its very hard. But wait to open until youre ready to make an awesome first impression! You have to iron out the kinks and fast. The taste was good but the portions, time, and quality arent there.

Like wow.... Just wow. You know when youve had pizza thats so mind blowing you almost think you dreamed it? Yeah that was this! Great options, very friendly staff, quick, and tasty! Its a light thin crust pizza, which I enjoy! I cant wait to go back next week on my day off to try Italian Meat Lovers Pizza with my favorite drink Heineken! Visit Calabria Brickoven Pizzeria and you too will have a wonderful experience! The food is delicious and the staff is phenomenal! Very grateful to have you in MT Juliet!

This is authentic folks. About as authentic as it gets here. The new owners have transformed the space into a clean well lighted place and the pizza is great. Please dont expect corporate pizza crap here because you wont find it. This is handmade, quality ingredients, and a skilled pizzaiolo. This is by far the best handmade pizza in the area and about as close to NY style you will get outside of Joeys pizza in Nashville. Service is accommodating and pleasant. You wont be disappointed.

The toppings werent spread well - looked like they rushed and slapped it together in a few minutes. Crust wasnt seasoned too well and was a bit bland. We called a minute or two after placing our order and asked them to delay making it because we werent ready to pick it up, and they called 10 minutes later and said it was done.. after they told us theyd wait until our specified time. Overall, I cant complain too much. The pizzas did taste decent, so kudos for that.

Really disappointing. Service was subpar, the waitress was nice but had too many tables. Pizza was not cooked long enough, the inside was still cold. We ordered caprese salad appetizer and the tomato was barely red. Its August, Im not sure how you cant find a red tomato! It tasted awful. Pizza itself was okay. Hardly any sauce or cheese on it and the veggies were cut way too big. Also way too expensive for what you get. Wont return.
