I had the worst experience of my life at any restaurant. We showed up around 5 and were told we had to wait 30 Min. This was understandable as it was New Year’s Eve. After waiting 45 we noticed people who came in after us were being seated. I went and asked the Hostess why they were being seated and not us. Apparently we were scratched off the list without calling out our name. The hostesses began to fight over who fault it was. It turns out no one called our name they each thought the other called us. Somehow they tried to make it seem like it was my fault even after admitting they didn’t call our name. After, we were seated it took about 10 min to be greeted by someone who said they were not our waitress and took our drink order. Our drinks took about 20 min. and when they came out we met our real waiter. He took and appetizer order and said he would be back to take our dinner order. After about another 30 min. he came back and took our dinner order at this point we have still not received our appetizer. After another 30 min. it finally came out. After receiveingthe appetizer it took another 30 min to get our meals. My wife’s meal was pretty good. I ordered the JD Burger and it was really burnt. I asked if they could get me another that was not bunt. After about another 45 Min. The new one came out. The bad thing is that was burnt even worse than the first. The waiter said that he would check with the manager to see what they could do. When he returned, he made me feel like I was lucky to be getting the two burgers free. TH waiter was the only one who spook to us. I thought at least the manager would come say something. I paid the bill and I had to go down to Beale Street and had a meal served to me in in 25 min. and it was great. (At 9:45 on New Year’s Eve.) WE WERE IN THE RESTAURANT FOR OVER 4 HOURS AND I DID NOT EVEN EAT DINNER!!! I work in Customer service and the customer comes first. If I had to guess this place was trying to go out of business. I thought let’s give them a chance to make it right I submitted this story to the Customer relations and had the Store manager call me. She called and left a message and I called her back 2 times and left a message with the person who answered they said the she would call me back when she was in. NEVER RECEIVED A CALL! It has been a month! I think it is time for negative reviews PLEASE STAY AWAY. There are so many awesome places on and around Beale St.

We waited about 25 minutes to be seated when there were plenty of tables. The manager initially just assumed it was myself and my husband eating, without asking "how many?" We had a party of 7, but my husband and I arrived first. I gathered the manager was just waiting for the rest of our party before he chose our table. That was no big deal. But our waitress...yikes! She was an older lady who had two other tables with parties of 7-8 people. We ordered endless appetizers and food, and the appetizers came out with the food! Im 27 weeks pregnant, so having to wait almost an hour and half after we got there to eat was torturous! Then, when we mentioned we didnt get "refills" of the endless appetizers, one of the (I assume) kitchen staff members, who was an older gentleman, came out and proceeded to tell us that he had given us our refills. What he did was serve multiple couples at the table, who had ordered endless mozzarella sticks, their original order. The fact of the matter is, endless appetizer refills arent free, theyre $5 per refill, so its not like food was just being given away for free. We were paying for everything we ate, but still had to defend the fact that he was mistaken and didnt bring us refills. The gentleman was nice enough to bring us an extra refill that we werent charged for, so that helped a little. But our waitress again...UGH. She just had too much going on that she was treating us like children who were annoying her while she was doing adult business or something. For example, when she passed and we attempted to flag her down for something, shed look at us, while continuing to walk by without saying a word, and hold up a finger indicating "hold on." That got a couple folks at our table upset. We had empty glasses and plates all over the table that she didnt bother to take away or refill for us. Toward the end of this awful service, she passed by while doing something on her phone and said, under her breath, "Im so ready to leave." My thought was, "were ready for you to leave too, lady!" Needless to say, she got her gratuity in the form of an automatic 20% because we had a table of more than 6, otherwise she would have gotten 0%.

We walked down the street from our hotel after 8 hour drive from OKC. Just wanted couple drinks and something to take back to the room. Hostess seated us in a booth. Nice enough atmosphere like every other Fridays. Not too busy. There was no wait and plenty of seating available. Allegra showed up and took our order: two cocktails and a half rack ribs to go. And we sat. And sat. And sat for 20 minutes til I finally saw her, waved her over and reminded her we were thirsty. She giggled like a bubble head and went to the bar where they had been sitting. She actually brought them over with the ice half melted and ran off before I could tell her remake em. There was a couple with three small children at the booth next to us. She NEVER even came over to them. They gave up and left as I overheard the mothers muffled curses. So we finished our drinks and the food still hadnt come and neither had Allegra. I got up and walked to the bar, squeezed in between two people, and ordered another round. Allegra watched me. Didnt seem to dawn on her this was her tip I was spending. When she brought the food the fries I wanted substituted with a salad were in the to go bag. No salad. No napkins or silverware. No ketchup for the fries I didnt want in the first place but damnit if she mistakenly gives me fries I want some ketchup! We just told her bring the check. Ribs were OK. Allegra, however, sucked.

Manager was horrible. I had an $8.00 reward coupon for the Give Me More Stripes promotion. The manager refused to accept the coupon. I spoke with her and she left the table and came back with a stupid free appetizer coupon for my next visit. WHAT????? I told her I didnt want a free appetizer coupon, I wanted $8.00 off my meal. She said she couldnt do that. I guess since this restaurant is in downtown Memphis, there are no competent managers that feel safe enough to work that location. Sad for TGIF. I have notifed the corporate office of this managers refusal and stated I will never eat at that location again and will tell everyone of my experience. The service was very slow and there werent very many people in the restaurant. Also, they did not give the free chips at the beginning of the meal for being a Stripes member. AVOID THIS RESTAURANT OR YOU WILL BE EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
