We had a large party so I hate to critique too harshly but I was pretty disappointed after seeing such good reviews. Our steaks were all over the board with regard to the preparation. My steak was ordered medium rare but had no pink color at all. Service was totally disorganized. We werent in a hurry necessarily but the service was anything but prompt. I didnt have the patience to send my steak back so I ended up stomaching it. Dinner Rolls were quite delectable but were doused with butter. Think ocharleys. The restrooms were ridiculously inadequate. I had to wait to get in to go. This brings me in a round about way to the one positive I have. BYOB restaurants are always fun. The 2nd trip to the bathroom (thank you BYOB) was more prompt when someone told me I could walk outside and use a bathroom in a completely different building. All that said, the place seems to have great potential. Location is cool and I must admit we had a good time. It was a happy occasion that we were all together. Maybe it was an off night for the kitchen?

I like that it was different but it is really hard to find we had a coupon for two for 14.00 it cost for drinks of course but when the waitress asked that I wanted a potato loaded she failed to state that it was extra also charged extra for the vegetable being that it was part of the coupon then when I had to pay they did not have anyone at the desk so the same waitress rang us up the service was ok but they seemed to busy for us for some reason though it was not that busy they did how ever keep the beverage coming mabey we came at a wrong time but I was disappointed espiecualy when tying to find the restrouant also they did not cook the steak the way I wanted I'm not sure if I would come back it wasn't the best restrouant experience but it was not the worst either 3 stars

My wife and I had never been here before, and so we decided to go. We were very satisfied with the service, our waitress was excellent. Unfortunately my wifes steak was not cooked correctly, even after being re-fired, so a new different cut of meat was made and it was good. The restaurant went above what we expected to make it right; which is something that cant be said of many steak house chains. Other than that, the rest of the dishes were good, and the "bring your own drinks" is great. We will come back; even with an older building and bathrooms. I do wish they served real butter, and did not over butter the dinner rolls.

The food took an quite a while to get out to us. I got the seafood platter. The fried shrimp was almost definitely frozen shrimp. The catfish was limp and not fresh. The grilled shrimp was lackluster and pale. My vegetable melody was disappointing. The venue is old and not welcoming. They never refilled our drink pitchers. The salad felt like it had come out of a preprepared bag. The salad dressings were on the table on a self-service stand and left out, which felt unsanitary. My husband was very disappointed with his meal. It was a medium priced place. I really dont recommend it.

I went to Cherokee Steakhouse for the first time tonight. It was such a wonderful experience. Our server Tiff was one of the best servers Ive ever had. She made an awesome impression. From beginning to end she was amazing. I will be sure to ask for her each time I go. The owner or manager came out several times and asked each table how their meal was. I am so impressed with this restaurant and the staff. You made date night perfect for us. Thank you Tiff and staff for a beautiful experience.

I got the NY Strip and shrimp with French fries. When the meal finally came out the steak wasnt even warm and the shrimp reminded me of the frozen fried shrimp from walmart that you bake. The steak itself had no flavor at all. Oh and i never got my fries so i cant describe them. I also had to ask the server three timed for more drinks for the group. The pricing isnt too bad, however I would avoid this place if at all possible.

My father just called (who is taking a trip cross-country) and is on his way home to south Georgia. He asked me to google a steak house that was in this area that he had eaten at 20 years ago.... He was sooo hoping that it was still open so he could get another taste and it was! Hes going well out of his way to eat here again! Im sure from the other reviews I have read that he will be enjoying himself thoroughly tonight!

I have Been there 6 times now this year it has been the best. Until tonight the steaks where over cooked, plus the portions got smaller. We sent the steak back and a few minutes later we had new steaks that where exactly to our liking the way we ordered them and tasted great. We will return but not when they in the dinner rush on Saturday night I recommend going during the week and an hour before the close

We have gone here often since moving in the area, & think its great & affordable. BYOB is always good, but they dont have any appropriate glassware if you do bring some. Quiet older clientele. Great view of the lake. Sometimes has a wait, & beware of the hostile ducks & geese by the door. Steak & shrimp meal my go-to, & is almost always cooked to temp.

The food here is great! The price is even better! We can have dinner for 2 with sides and rolls for less than what it cost for a solo steak (without sides or anything) at a high priced chain restaurant. To make things even better, the owner often walks around and talks to customers about how they feel about their dining experience.

Tiffany and/or Doug always make our visits fabulous! Nothing fancy. Not a very romantic place BUT the Prime Rib and the Choice Ribeye are a meat lovers dream. Homemade salad dressings, great oysters & mushroom appetizers. Yep. Weve enjoyed being spoiled at Cherokee for a lot of years!

Worst food ever. Got the surf and turf and the steak was so old and nasty and the lobster tail taste like rubber. All the did was take the steak off so are meal was still 60 bucks for 2 people.. Worst restaurant ever and I dont mind paying 100 bucks for a steak.. Never go back!!!

Small, hometown atmosphere, food is great, can get loud at times due to a lot of people in a smaller space. The walls need a good wipe down but dont let that stop you from going, the food makes up for it. Non alcoholic restaurant and they communicate this on the entrance door.

First time eating here and it wont be my last. I had the blackened prime rib and it was excellent. The service was great and they were not stingy with anything. Plenty of food, dressing and rolls. The scenery was nice. Its a small place but the atmosphere is great.
