THE WORST! Ive never had a good experience here in the past, so I dont know why we even tried (again). We decided to give IHOP a chance in Collierville after YEARS of staying away. Someone in our group suggested IHOP and we thought - maybe - just maybe it had improved. We were wrong. Such a waste of time! We had a group of 7 and the hostess said "Nah, we cant do that" (Seriously? They cant push two tables together when there are clearly enough tables available to easily push two of them together??!) We replied, "OK, how about a group of 4 and a group of 3, with two separate tables close together instead?" IHOPs hostess: "Nah, were too busy for that." Our reply, "No problem, well go someplace good instead." Thats when a friend in our group asked for the manager and told him he didnt appreciate the unwelcome attitude at the front door. He clearly didnt care, and wasnt about to apologize. Fine. This place is permanently off our list for good. They need new management who cares about service, and a new "hostess" who is polite. I understand that restaurants get busy, and sometimes they are short staffed. How about something like this? "Were super busy today. It may be around 20 or 30 minutes before we can fit a group of 7 in this morning, would you still like to wait? Im so sorry we cant seat you right away." (or "We can seat you, but it may take a little while to take your breakfast order if you have time to wait.") Basically, any type of friendly greeting and explanation of "service issues" would be met with understanding from our group. We did have time to talk and wait for a table. This was a flat out refusal to be served in any way. If you want to eat a sit-down breakfast and be served by friendly people who actually want your business, dont bother with this place. They dont want the business, especially when they feel theyre "too busy" to deal with anyone else walking in. What a joke! Thats not how the service industry works. I worked in it for 13 years and I would never dream of talking to customers so rudely. Ridiculous!

Where to start, lets start with the core of the problem. The ownership changed, and is now owned by a Indian couple. Now that itself is not bad, except that the owner is a cheapskate who cancels orders of food made by the manager. Past two times weve come here, almost every menu item was missing some piece, ie, mozzarella sticks with no marinara; Burger meal with no side items available; or just the complete lack of an entire food item. The wait staff was super friendly, despite the inability to serve customers fully. The ownership needs to let the manager order the products needed, or else this IHOP is doomed to fail. Even after a major event, this place was near empty for dinner, as it is most of the time now. Not recommended, not worth spending your money, dont waste your time going here

April 4th. 2017 Entered the building at 7:30am. Took the "walking dead" 5 minutes to come to us. She picked up 2 menus and whispered in an irritated groan to "follow"...no "hello, welcome, sorry for your wait,...." She didnt ask what we wanted to drink, who would be with us when, NOTHING. I brushed the crumbs from the last customers off the seat and sat down. Before she or anyone of the non functioning customer service beings could get to us (another 5 minutes) my friend noted that his roll of utensils were glued to the table with dried syrup. That was enough, we left for Perkins.

Ive been to this location a few times and the wait time has always been long without the place being packed. I always give restaurants the benefit of the doubt and dont blame servers for being understaffed. But it was an hour before we were able to even order and the host skipped us over a few times before we were seated. Then on top of that, a roach was in my syrup. Who knows how long that dead roach had been in that syrup and who knows how many people had used that syrup container. But I was grossed out. The manager gave us a $25 gift card to cover our meal.

Was in there for 30 mins waiting. Tables in restaurants were only about half occupied, stood and watched servers and cooks , there was probably 25 plates of food ready and sitting forever, looked like orders were incorrect and servers were just standard no waiting for the right items. When we left there were probably 25 to 30 people waiting. If the staff was sufficiently trained there was room for ALL of those waiting to have had one of the empty table. This place needs new management or to just be closed.

A perfect place for brunch, especially when you receive great service from Othman and his wonderful team of super servers such as April. The next time you go there, just ask for April and you know that youre gonna have a great time. And if thats not enough, youre surrounded by wonderful people being served thatll make your day even more awesome.

Terrible service all around at this location. Every tome we try to come the food takes forever, the staff doesnt care, and the places looks disgusting. I have worked in restaurants for many years and this has to be top 10 1 of the worst run I have ever seen. The worst part is the manager never stops by to at least apologize.

Absolute worst dining experience I have EVER had. The coffee was ice cold, the grits were nowhere near done, we had to ask for everything from silverware to ketchup multiple times. Everyones food came at different times with things missing that then had to be waited on. I am not a complainer at all, but this was outrageous.

Service was horrible! We waited 10 minutes just to put our name on the list. The hostess constantly walked by and never once acknowledged anyone waiting in line. So after ten minutes we left and went across the street to Perkins restaurant where we immediately were able to put our name on the waiting list.

Poor service, food is consistently WRONG OR BADLY COOKED, refills are few and far between and the staff are unaware they are giving horrible service. This location is about as worthless as can be. If you cant cook eggs, dont cook at iHop. Id highly recommend Perkins instead (and theyre nothing special).

Surprisingly good food. Ihop is generally known for mediocre food and slow service, but this one seems to break the mold. Service was fast and it was actually really good. Blake was our waiter, and he rocked it, so make sure you get him or else I cant really tell you what you will get.

Enjoyed breakfast at lunch time! My waitress was so attentive and sweet. The entire order was PERFECT! The pancakes and the chicken fajita omelets were hot and DELISH!!! Im visiting from Nashville, and this is my second time here at Ihop. I have never been disappointed. Thank you!!!

The food was edible the server was rude and screwed up the food. Had to repeat numerous times to get it close. Had to repeatedly ask for more silverware. The hostess was the only customer service oriented person I came in contact with. Thanks for a edible breakfast.

It was awful. First the coffee had grains in it. Next the egg was to runny. Also the toast was brought in three times. We had to talk to the manager about this and he gave us a 40% off discount. Never ever ever go to the ihop in Collierville. It was also FOOBOO
