Ive eaten here numerous times, and although the food is delicious, I might never come back again because of the service. The wait staff treat you as if you are bothering them when you want to be seated. They do the absolute minimum and look offended if you ask for a refill of ice tea or some sugar. Yesterday we called at 2:16 pm and asked if we could place a take out order. Samantha answered the phone, told me to hold on, and proceeded to yell to someone back in the kitchen asking if she should take my order or tell me it was too late. She yelled back and forth with him for a little while longer while they were deciding what to tell me. She finally got back on the phone and told me they were closed. I reminded her that they dont close until 2:30 pm. I told her I was calling from my car and would be there in four minutes. Then she told me there was no one in the kitchen to prepare my order because the cook already left. I asked to speak with the manager or Ryan Tosh (the owner). I thought he might be interested to know that his cook went home 15 minutes before the restaurant closed and Samantha was sending customers away. I was told that neither the manager nor the owner were there. She said there was no one of authority available to speak with me. I called back again today and was told the owner was at his other restaurant (Venice Steakhouse) and I could reach him there. When I called Venice there was no answer, because as it turns out, Venice is closed on Mondays. So I called back to Benedicts and this time I spoke with Annie. I told her I was calling to make a complaint and asked if there was a manager who I could speak to. She informed me that Benedicts operates on a manager-less system -- all the while I could hear the cook in the kitchen yelling for her to "just hang up" on me. Needless to say I agree with the other reviews Ive read and the word-of-mouth about Benedicts. While the food is good, the attitude and behavior of the servers, hostesses, and cook leaves a lot to be desired. I hope Mr Tosh reads this review and makes the necessary adjustments in his staff before everyone in the area just stops going there. Between Jelly, Toast & Jam, Round The Clock, Bakers Square, The Pancake Club, Aspen Cafe, Waffle House, Olive Cafe, etc. we have many other choices of restaurants to have breakfast.

When this business originally got started the business owner was on top of his game. The food was always fresh and clean, the coffee excellent, and the staff helpful and courteous. They frequently are out of specific menu items like the salmon Benedicts. There is nothing worse then miss leading expectation. They also dont have mobile pay which is a simple and easy feature for paying with mobile devices. Twice I have asked them to get mobile pay and I dont carry cash. When a business doesnt keep menu items in stock or listen to customer suggestions eventually it becomes unreliable.

Only giving two stars because the decor was decent and the food was mediocre. Service was eh. Ordered chocolate milk which is nothing special (Hersheys syrup and milk) ordered the bacon and cheese stuffed biscuits and gravy (menu does not specify what comes with the meal) I asked for toast with my entree that apparently didnt include it and the waitress looked at me like I just offended her lineage. Will not be coming back.

Delightful eating experience. Tried Sunday breakfast and was pleased on all accounts. Food portions were very generous with fresh ingredients throughout all items served...obviously demonstrating thought, planning and effort has gone into pleasing the customer. Service was pleasant and prompt. Will be returning and recommending to friends and family. Job well done...thank you!

Im giving them only 1 star because of the menu other than that I wouldnt give them any. We came in to be seated and no one even acknowledged our presence, it was like we were invisible or something. My sister had to literally walk up to one of them women to get her attention and she still ignored my sister. Needless to say we left without trying the food.

This is my first experience at this restaurant. We tried to pub battered fish and chips. Nice presentation served on a bed of baby spinach. The food was absolutely delicious the restaurant its warm service is excellent and met the chef very nice fellow it is a must try!

Food was very bland and pricey for sub par food. I got the Benny and my muffin was overcooked so I couldnt cut it. Potatoes are not "seasoned" very well. My son got the kids pancakes and tasted like a standard box pancake. Hubs said the eggs were good....

They catered my event of 75 people. I received so many compliments on the food! The staff were helpful and professional. The food was delicious and plentiful. The entire experience was very satisfactory.
