This place led me to think it had a lot of promise but after last night I will NEVER go there again. I am 8mo pregnant and yes I undertand that I should not drink. I also know from having 3 prior kids, a drink or two from time to time will not kill me or my baby. I went into this place to celebrate with my new hubby/daddy to be and the bartender sold me a creamcicle in a tumbler then an hour later after a full meal and appatizer sent some big fat lady in a dirty sweatshirt to my table to tell me I couldnt get a coors light draft cause I was preggo. Please dont get me wrong if I had been drinking before I went in or had ordered the drinks back to back or hadnt ordered food and water to drink between the two drinks or had more than two strong drinks even, I could maybe understand not selling me another. But to sell one then charge me full price for half a drink and then refuse to selle something else later made me feel like they were pushing their personal beleifs on me.. Its like saying a person cant have icecream cause their fat.. I left feeling ripped off and descriminated against and like I said I wont go back!!!

I Jeff have been a customer for over 10 years at State line and just reading some reviews. Wow I was shocked with the petty negativity. I strongly feel that the Team at State Line have been consistently some of the friendliest and caring fun people. I think State Line is a hard working partner in the community. I have learned a lot from living in many other tourist towns.If Bristol is becoming a draw for Music, Birthplace, Small Town, Speedway, Beaver Walk, Etc., then there has to be that Hemingway style Sloppy Joes bar to visit. ( You know the one that you have real memorable fun at?? Yes fun!) My thanks to the hard working staff and owners who constantly are bringing new and fun things to our community. I am looking forward to sitting on the porch this summer enjoying a glass of Wine, eating the wonderful Grouper with asparagus, while people watching and meeting new people. See you there!!

This place has, hands down, the best steak AND the best grouper Ive ever eaten! I never can decide which one is the best, so I order one, and my wife orders the other, and we share them every time! Also, even though they have a bar, the bar is in the back of the restaurant, so in spite of what the name might make you think, its not a bar atmosphere, its more of a restaurant atmosphere. I almost didnt go the first time, because I had imagined it to be a bar/pickup joint, but thankfully, its nothing like I had imagined. We are regulars there! I highly recommend this place!

Avoid State Line Bar & Grill! I Have never been to a venue that has a stage the was run more unprofessionally then State Line Bar & Grill. I complete a stand-up set after DJing for nearly two hours. After completing my set to mixed reviews (some loved it) Owner Amy Booher pulled me outside and informed me that I was not going to be paid $1 of the agreed amount. She was very rude and unprofessional. If you are a performer/musician/artist, DO NOT perform at State Line Bar & Grill.

To the pregnant woman who is upset that they wouldnt serve her alchohol, perhaps they cared more about your child than you did. Ever heard of fetal alchohol syndrome? It can kill a child and also drinking at any time during pregnancy can cause severe birth and developmental effects. Shame on you for endangering an unborn child. And good for them for denying you. Faith in humanity restored.

Beer selection is the run of the mill for the area. No places around here actually carry much quantity of any real quality beverages. The wings are awesome, just as good as the wingdoctors. Odd weekend croud- but thats Bristol for ya.
