So many people in town have praised this place for years so today my family and I thought wed try it but we were thoroughly unimpressed. We always have a large party with 4 kids but were seated promptly. The waitress was great and kept the drinks full. Our meals, though, were disappointing. One kids corn dog was overdone, another kids pizza was topped with jalapenos (not indicated on the menu or we would have asked for them to be left off) and had a cardboard-like crust, my mothers quiche was also overdone and very tough, while my salad was crammed in a tiny bowl with a whole chicken breast atop it. You should have seen the mess I made trying to cut all the salad toppings and the chicken into bite-size pieces in the bowl. For $95 after tip, I certainly wont be back with the family.

Expansive and Eclectic menu, good food, great service. Clean, lots of people, great atmosphere. We got the Blue Max Spud stuffed with Roast Beef, onions, cheese.+ Fixins, sounds weird, but it winds up being a meat and potato dish. Most plates are under 10 bucks, so I dont get the Price complaints. (If you order the Filet, its gonna be more than 10 bucks, lol) We will make this a place we eat regularly. I dont know about the reviews being so bad for service, that was definitely not the experience we had. Chill out people, its not Tiffanys. Next time Ill try the Tuna Steak sandwich. Oh, and we also got the signature Nitty Gritty Sandwich, which is Roast beef and cheese seasoned with Italian spices. - excellent choice if its your first time there.

My fiance and I had a terrible experience at this restaurant. First and foremost they sat us away from everyone else and they are supposed to be dog friendly. The host took our drink order and told us that a waitress would take our order and we waited 15 minutes and no one ever came. I called and spoke to the manager who said someone will be right out.... five minutes later that same Hostess comes out and asked us if theres something that we need... yeah we need our order taken. She should have taken our order right then and there but she said she would send our waitress out. We waited another ten minutes and then got up and left and call the manager and made him aware of the sub-par service that we received

I have never been to restraunt and was treated like we were today...first off its supposed to allow pets and we were sat out in the grass away from everyone...lady took my fiance drink order and then brought me a beer menu...waited 15mins nobody came out to take my drink order or our food order. My fiance called inside the restraunt to let them know we have not been waited on and he said he would send someone out....the girl came out to ask us if we were ok not to take our order...when i told her nobody has evn taken our order she said, "oh, let me get your waitress" left us out there for 10mins and we just left....really bad service and want be back...

My wife and I just went to the White Horse for the first, and definitely last, time. The wait was much longer than promised, the service was terrible, and the food? There is a McDonalds across the street that would win culinary prizes compared to White Horse. I would definitely warn anyone against trying the Bird in The Bush Casserole - it is the first time I had chicken that tasted and felt like tofu! This place is so loud I could not hear my wife across the table, and the decor is old and tired. I usually give a restaurant a second chance but this place is an exception.

I have eaten at the White Horse since the late 70s. I have always enjoyed the food and the service. The reason for 3 stars is that they have the worst handicap access I have ever encountered. The small ramp to the sidewalk is steep and narrow, then the sidewalk is half blocked by dead vegetation and then the main ramp is too steep for me to get up in my self-propelled wheel chair. So I will not be eating here anymore unless some one is with me who can push me up.

I am a guest care associate of a local hotel, and we send a lot of referrals to the white horse. We were very disappointed today when we sent guest there, and they arrived to find the restaurant closed. The web site says it is open from 11am til 12am today. It was embarrassing to have the guest return and tell us we sent them to a closed establishment. We are removing the menu from our concierge until the website is updated with a reopening date.

WAITRESS BROUGHT SALAD, AND A GARLIC CHEESE LOAF TO START AND I ASKED IF THE CHEF- COOK REHEATED QUICHE IN OVEN OR MICRO..NO NOT MICRO.THE CRUST WAS SO TOUGH I HAD TO SAW SAW AND JUST GAVE UP.WAITRESS FINALLY CAME BACK, IN 20 MINUTES!!!!! I EXPLAINED MY DISAPPOINTMENT, AND I ASKED IF I COULD HAVE A PIECE OF QUICHE TO TAKE HOME AND HEAT MYSELF. I TOLD HER I WOULD NOT BE BACK PERIOD!! I LOVE QUICHES ! I I Bill was $18.50!!

The worst service ever.. you will get better food and service across the street at mcdonalds. Need to be more professional instead of the staff cutting up, cussing, not showing customers respect, and only checking on a table once during an hour with only 5 people in the place. Do you pocket and self a favor and go some where else. I ish the owner would do the city a faver and close that pos down!

All I can say is WOW. The menu was expansive, the prices were reasonable, and we couldnt make it out of the restaurant without at least five different waitresses wishing us a good night, and it was a packed house! My marinated chicken was yummy and juicy and the kids were treated just as well as we were, which is a huge plus for me. Cant wait to return!

Really loved this place. Filled with people, there were even people flowing in when we left at 9pm. Food was great, prices are very reasonable, and the waitress was fast and friendly. Every waitress/waiter in the building stops and helps if you need it. Our drinks were never empty! Will go back and try a burger next time, they looked huge.

I normally would give it a 4 or a 5 but not up to par tonight. We had a combination basket as dinner and we waited a long time for it. Our server was too busy talking to her friends. When it came it was just warm, not piping hot as usual. Every place can have an off night and I guess we found theres. Disappointed in overall service.

The casseroles are amazing and fresh! However, expect a wait for them because they are fresh. Also, make sure you can sit in a hard seat if you choose to sit in a both. It did not bother me, but people with back problems may have issues. Other than that this place has great food and great service for the whole family!

Food was great, service is very good. Was treating family out for lunch, and did not know this restaurant charges a six person gratuity. Didnt mind that, but I didnt think it was fair that I was being charged for my two grandchildren who were only 2&3. Other restaurants normally dont charge for kids under 5 or 6.
