Last year when I was in Garden City, this was an underwhelming little shop that had the most counterintuitive rule: no flavor samples. I understand making this choice if you have a few classic flavors that most people are familiar with, but this shop carried (and still carries) a slew of creative flavors that leave the imagination reeling without any confidence youll actually enjoy any of the concoctions. Now, under new ownership, The Yum Yum shop is quite a different place. The staff are more friendly and patient as you decide what youre interested in. Youre able to sample flavors without limit and really decide on what you want confidently. And finally, and probably most importantly, the ice cream is dang delicious. Check this place out with youre family, on a date, or heck even by yourself. Its bound to be a good move.

Wow! The Yum Yum Shop has come a long way over the last year! New owners, remodeled, clean environment and a friendly staff! The biggest selection of icecream and other treats too- shakes, iced coffee, chocolate covered desserts, funnel cakes and much more. THE place to stop for a tasty treat after a hot day on the beach. Reasonable prices too!

A great addition to the community! This place is adorable and it fits right in to the fun, family-friendly Garden City vibe. My only complaint is that they are seasonal. They opened March 1st. We will be back before the tourists find out about this gem :)

My husband got a funnel cake here Friday and got food poisoning- it was awful and it was our last day of vacation- my husband spent this last day throwing up violently with severe stomach pains. An awful way to end a great vacation. Beware!!

Nice little location for the family to come hang out after spending the day on the beach. The ice cream is good, and lots of flavors to choose from. There is also an arcade down the street after enjoying the ice cream.

Asked for 3 scoops of chocolate ice cream, peanuts with chocolate syrup and a chocolate milkshake. Got whole peanuts and hot fudge and was charged $12.50! Ultra expensive--never coming here again.

Ordered 2 the first night and got 3. Ordered 1 tonight and got 2. I didnt know they made that many different flavors. Every one was so sweet., been there before and it is still the same.

My favorite thing here is the chocolate covered cheesecake. They also have a very good selection of ice cream. I think the prices are a little expensive though.
