Beware this place! I went with my partner. The lady taking orders was “upselling” the person in front of us: “Are you sure you don’t want to add spinach to your sandwich?” For an extra charge of course. Our turn to order. We have to leave for the train station in 20 minutes, so I order an egg sandwich to go. I say make it “as healthy as possible,” so I go with whole wheat instead of the croissant, no bacon (I don’t eat red meat), and add avocado (extra charge). My partner orders fresh-squeezed juice, 8 ounces. The lady taking our order pressures my partner to get the 12-ounce, the 8-ounce is quite small she says. OK, 12 ounces. After 20 minutes, still no egg sandwich. GoogleMaps is telling my I’ll miss my train if we don’t leave soon. 25 minutes, I’m already missing my train (luckily it was late arriving). My partner tells the lady we have to go NOW. The lady hands us a bag with something in it. It’s a HAM and cheese CROISSANT. Could you be more insensitive?? I don’t eat ham. I asked for whole wheat. I paid extra for avocado. Furthermore, the 12-ounce “fresh-squeezed” juice was mostly ice. I did some quick math and estimated there was less than 7 ounces of juice in that cup. I emailed them at their website-provided email address, stated I’d rather resolve this offline than write a bad review. They never even bothered to reply. Nothing. Silence. This place is SLOW (could not get a simple egg sandwich together in 25 minutes), they are SHADY (trying to upsell people beyond what they order), and they are THOUGHTLESS (to give me ham on a croissant when I asked for healthy whole wheat and paid extra for avocado and no pork), and they don’t answer when you complain privately. There is SO MUCH great food in Charleston, everywhere. There is no need to go here. I can recommend a dozen wonderful places. Not here though!!! A DISAPPOINTING end to an otherwise amazing visit to Charleston.

We stopped in for a quick, cheap dinner after walking around Charleston. What a find! This little bakery serves so much more than baked goods. We had the Waldorf wrap which was large enough to share. It had turkey, cheese, apple, lettuce, tomato, onion & pecans with a sweet balsamic dressing and it was Oh So Good. It came with a pasta salad and drink (peach lemonade - yummy). The kids had a giant size bagel and a chicken salad/BLT sandwich plus cookies that were 6-7" across and delicious. Because we had done so well with our wrap, we treated ourselves to cupcakes for dessert (a lemon supreme and a chocolate coconut). These were out of this world! Now, for the best part of our experience. We were waited on by a great young man, William - an impressive 68" who was friendly, outgoing, and accommodating. If we can manage it, we will return tomorrow. Another A+ for them is that they use only vinyl gloves. Because my daughter has a severe latex allergy, we cant eat anyplace that uses latex. Our dining choices are very limited because of this. That makes this an even more exciting find for us, but a safer environment even for those of you who dont have this allergy.

We all went in to cool down with ice cream and milkshakes on a really hot day of exploring the city. We got 3 milkshakes and one bowl of ice cream for $26.09. The girls working behind the counter were pretty nice, but the delivery was highly disappointing. The milkshakes werent bad, but they were overpriced. The bowl of ice cream was 1/3 melted and it was a ridiculously small scoop ($4). I went back and asked for a less melted scoop, waited about 5 minutes and got a bowl that looked just like the one I brought back. They apologized and said its just really hot outside. The thing that really upset me though, was seeing the giant gallon tub of cheap ice cream that you get at any grocery store for $5 dollars. Im sorry, but you cant charge $4 dollars for a tiny ice cream scoop and $6.50 per milkshake made with the cheapest ice cream available!!! I can get much better for the same price at any fancy or authentic ice cream ice cream store.

My fiancé and I decided to go here on vacation after reading good reviews. However, we got here around noon time, there was hardly an option of pastries...Just a few muffins and cookies. Nothing special. My fiancé ordered coffee and they were apparently out of proper coffee lids. I decided to get the last cookie they had, which we did not receive after paying. I ask her about it and the cashier looked annoyed at me asking and told me to wait while she kept ringing other customers up. I dont know why it takes so long to put a cookie in a bag. After I we left, coffee got spilt everywhere in our car on our travel back home with the improper lid. Never going back here again...Should have gone to the other cafe we passed by before this one.

We stopped in for a juice and smoothie, on a warm December afternoon. The woman working the counter was a bit brusk, but oh well, we were just here for the food. We ordered a one of their "standard" juices, and she said she had just enough left to fill our order. Well, not really... we overheard her telling the other employee "just add more ice." We received an $8 juice in a cup that was nearly solid ice. Two small sips, and all the juice was gone. There was nothing but a full cup of ice left. We complained, and the woman behind the bar was unapologetic and quite rude. Wont ever be going there again! The smoothie was good but hard to enjoy after we had just been ripped off with the juice.

My husband and I were pretty disappointed when we went to whisk for a healthy breakfast. We are huge clean eaters and love juicing. We ordered a parfait, oatmeal and a breakfast sandwich. When we got our food we realized we basically were in a nicer McDonalds. Their oatmeal is in a cup with some water in it to cook, and their breakfast sandwiches are just like McDonalds, everything is microwaved. Glad we didnt get a juice, because from what I read they are pre made and sit in plastic containers! If that is true, they have already lost their nutritional value after 15 minutes of being made since they arent cold pressed.

If I could give this place 0 stars I would. Service is horrible and the staff was not friendly. I came here for "fresh" juice, but it was anything but that. The staff poured premade juice into a cup from a plastic container. I have never been to a juice bar where they premake juice to serve, it has always been made in front of the customers eyes. The drink "green envy" tasted like sweetened rotting cabbage. Had to throw the drink out because it was unbearable to drink. I was really hoping that this place was going to be great but it proved otherwise.

This is a small piece of heaven! The pastries were all to die for and the people that own and work there are all so friendly.....a rarity in Charleston! Thank you for making my trip a pleasure! I will certainly visit again if I am in Charleston! Best pastries I have had since my visit to Germany 5 yrs ago!
