Thumbs up! Owners are French, super nice and as soon as you walk in, the smells of freshly baked items hit your nose. They offer delicious breads, huge croissant sandwiches with tuna fish, chicken salad and other lunch items; they also offer breakfast items like eggs, omelets, coffee, etc. The croissants are the best. Try their chocolate - its really good. Some items are slightly expensive but within reason; for example, the omelet with salmon has a healthy portion of extremely fresh salmon, huge healthy fresh fruit cups, etc. Theres an incredible amount of attention to quality and service - theyre repeatedly accommodating (my wife has weird dietary restrictions), their food is very fresh, healthy, not greasy like other places, the coffee is always fresh French press, the bread, the chocolate croissants, I could go on. Baguette Magic, one of James Islands hidden secrets for breakfast and lunch. Sincerely, Norm Delson, Delson Computer Inc. on James Island.

We had lunch here after some time at Folly Beach. Its not a cheap lunch by any means, but it was excellent. I really enjoyed my smoked salmon sandwich, my daughter enjoyed her BLT, and my wife liked hers with prosciutto. We also enjoyed our salads. The kids French toast is just a single slice, so if you have an active 10 year-old boy you might want to spring for the full adult portion. Nevertheless, he was still very happy with his French toast made with brioche. The atmosphere is OK. It doesnt feel at all like a French café, but its fine. The service was good. I liked having self-service water and coffee. I would definitely go back here. I love me some Chick-fil-a, but Id rather eat at a good local place when I can. This fits the bill nicely.

The French press is excellent! Usually good customer service & the French toast is amazing. My only qualm is cleanliness & hygiene. Ive seen them dump blueberries out of the containers and theyve obviously not been washed after bought :( I doubt they wash much else. The owner nor the staff use gloves when handling food. There was one instance the dark haired waitress lady took someones money after ringing them up, then proceeded to grab a to-go sandwich (without washing hands) to put in a carry out bag. Until they start handling food properly & clean up their act, I will not be dining here again. :( Its really too bad because they have something that could be great!

Usually a go to for a great breakfast croissant! Looks great inside with the new expansion... I was unfortunately left underwhelmed with my smaller than usual blue cheese bacon arugula and egg croissant.. Side potatoes was shall we say earthy. I know itll be fine they were extremely busy. With potatoes gratin I do not usually mind paying the shall we say "tourist" prices. Herb potatoes did not suffice as a good replacement to say the least. Soooooooo its ok, I miss the old way, is all. Have a good day!

First time BLT sandwich on baguette wonderful!!2nd time same sandwich took home and should have returned it!Bread was so burnt and hard and inside had old lettuce, tomato and very little cheese and avacado!!It was closeto closing time but think owner needs to check on quality control!!both back and front entrances need cleaning up!!Super croissants and baguetts but pricy$$$ ;-(

Bread is good, is better than the so called pastry stores. I wish the French press will be better as the ingredients they put in the sandwiches. Old lettuce and cheap cheese is no match for an artisan sandwich. I hope they will fix the ingredients other wise just buy the bread and go to a store that sell better cheese or meet and make your own sandwich.

Quaint little French style bakery in the middle of James Island. Doesnt exactly have the feel of a brasserie in the middle of Paris but the food is excellent. Definitelt recommend the French toast and egg sandwiches or just some of their baked goods to go.

We had the salmon croissant, fruit, cheese grits, and chocolate almond croissant. It was all $16 with coffees. Really good food, great and fast service, and reasonable priced. Self serve french press coffee is a huge plus

Love it! I had an almond chocolate croissant on my way to work this morning. I received a gift certificate for Christmas and I will certainly be back! The staff was very friendly and the place is very cozy.

French style bakery with great croissants, and baguette sandwiches. A great place to go in the morning after a late night out. I recommend the recovery baguette and the egg sandwich.

Delicious! The croissants by themselves are amazing, but the sandwiches are even better. The atmosphere is wonderful, as well - everyone is incredibly friendly. I highly recommend.

My husband is from Europe where excellent, fresh bread is part of the culture. He loves everything from here. Worth the drive 1-2 times a week from IOP.

Mathieu has done a great job with this place. If there is one thing that you have to try there its the brioche. Its as good as in France. Really. So yummy.

Service was pretty slow here when I visited. The coffee was very good and the food was not bad either. Portions are on the small side in my opinion.

First time eating here, food was wonderful. The waitress had the worst attitude, everyone seated around us looked unhappy. Wont be back.
