Eating at Bravo Brasserie is part of an annual tradition that I married into. My wifes family and some of their friends attending a play across the street at the Trinity theater and we always meet up at Bravo Brasserie before the play, for some drinks and a snack and then later go there after for dinner. During my couple of visits there Ive been impressed with the quality of the service and food there. As you might have guess, they serve French fare there and they do a pretty decent job at it while keeping the prices reasonable as well. From croque monsieurs ($10.95) and cheese plates to French onion soup ($5.95) and steak frites ($21.95), the selection of dishes is varied. They also have salade Niçoise ($11.95), duck à lorange ($24.95) and various other classical dishes such as sole meunière ($21.95) as well. Personally, Im a sucker for simple, classics like a croque Madame ($11.95) and their onion soup. Their frisée salad ($11.95) is pretty solid as well and Ive also had their cheese plate ($13.95) which came with a ton of bread, three different cheeses, some fruit and some walnut butter. Not feeling like eating French? Worry not. They also have all kinds of burgers, pasta dishes, salads and many other things. And you can wash it all down with some craft beer, wine or even cocktails. Bonus points to them for serving warm, crusty baguette which is pretty authentic (surprisingly). Being born and raised in France myself, this definitely helps me get a taste of home and while its not exceptional, for the value and the convenience, Ill definitely take it. Im a fan.

Dont go if you want to sit at the bar with 11 of your other friends and DRINK until the show that you booked upstairs is ready to accommodate you. Went with 11 other people so 12 of us total. We had booked a show with dinner that they were doing upstairs. Got there just at 4:30. Unfortunately, we did not realize that they didnt open until 5:00. That was a disaster with the valet who obviously didnt understand that we would park our own car - so we wouldnt block the street and still pay him. He just didnt get it. Then we enter the restaurant and proceed to sit at the bar and are being told that all the seats at the bar were reserved. They only had a few seats available. So we decided that some of us would sit and the others would stand behind. We were planning on drinking for 2 hours because we had gotten there early (right after work, seeing as we work right up the street) before the show started at 7:00 p.m. The OWNER then walks over and tells us that the show is really not starting until 8:00 p.m. and why would we want to hang around that long. WHAT ???? We are willing to sit in your restaurant for 3 hours and DRINK until the show starts and you dont want us there. This is one SCREWED UP place. Your money is made on the alcohol you sell because there is such a big mark up. So...... all 12 of us left and went to another bar to DRINK for three hours. Wouldnt go back there if they gave me dinner for free. MANAGER IS RUDE AND THE OWNER IS WORSE !!!

As my, now, wife and I were planning our wedding we had saw many places and even settled on a different venue, Im very very happy that we changed our minds and chose Bravo Brasserie instead. From the very beginning they were the easiest people i have had to deal with when making plans. Every time i called i was able to get in contact with either Fred or Jessica and both were capable and professional. I had both my wedding and reception here last weekend and could not be happier. on the day before, my wifes family was stuck in a different part of the country preventing them from making it out, immediate concern that we would lose the venue for being below the minimum or have to pay for food we werent eating hit hard. I rushed over and spoke with the Jessica and we were immediately reassured that nothing would change and that we would not incur a massive fee, I breathed easy. The wedding went off without a hitch and the staff was remarkable. Venue was clean, food was amazing. If you plan on hosting an event in providence I highly recommend Bravo Brasserie. Id give it more stars if i could.

Food was good but I am giving this one star because of the very poor service. Our server, Maureen, was very slow and inattentive. There were long stretches where we were sitting there waiting for food or drinks, and after dropping things off, she never came back to check on us. My wife had a RUBBER BAND in her dinner and when we complained about it, she did nothing and charged us full price. We asked to speak to a manager upon leaving and told him about it and he said, "it happens." Im sorry but I have been eating at restaurants all my life and have never had a rubber band in a meal before. Skip this place, they dont care about their customers.

Nice decor. Service was average. Food is good but a bit overpriced. Be aware that the clam chowder has bacon in it (not disclosed on the menu). Our server had to ask what the soup was and never bothered to tell us what the veggie was. He also had to go up and write down all of the beers on tap as he had no clue. Crab cakes came with coleslaw that was so soupy the crab cakes were swimming in in the dressing. Mac and cheese was a very generous portion served with tomatoes on top.

I went to the Providence Bruins game with my 11 year old daughter and was looking for a family friendly place to have a casual meal beforehand. Bravo Brasserie was recommended by a friend who lives nearby, and we had a great experience. My daughter had macaroni and cheese (with lobster), I had a cajun turkey burger. Both were great. Nice atmosphere at the right price. Our server was also very helpful and engaging. Would recommend before a Dunkin center event or the theater.

I enjoy Bravo - their food is always good (especially the Chicken Oscar) and the interior is interesting with its rich wood walls and exposed brick. Makes for a nice place to have a dinner dressed up or casual. The upstairs is also a neat place to have a small reception or birthday party. We actually had my sisters surprise 30th here a couple years back and the staff here was EXCELLENT at helping me put together the perfect event at a reasonable price!

I had a private dinner party at Bravo for my birthday this year, with a table of 16. We were given the private dinning room upstairs and it was absolutely beautiful!! We had the entire room for ourselves, and all my guests had a great time! Our server, who also took care of bar for us, was amazing, everyones meals were delicious! I highly recommend Bravo for any dinner functions, especially the use of the upstairs dining room!!

Dont try to bring your kid the door man will find an excuse to turn you away. Even well behaved kids that dont scream or make a mess dont bother. Not even if you try to have dinner before the dinner rush so you can get your kid home for bed. I probably wouldnt even bother going to this place in general just find somewhere else to eat.
