Hey look at me and all my health code voilations- food.ri.digitalhealthdep… Only a few reviews are from the last two years- most are pre-remodel. The new summer menu-Lobster Cobb Salad $28 REALLY? - I had this salad last summer, it wasnt $28 and while it was okay- it had tiny shreds of lobster in it. All the reviews are from people out of town. The locals wont touch this place with a ten foot pole.So how does it do so well in the rating?- lying and cheating is how. She takes down all the bad reviews. She pays to manipulate her ratings. She pays to be in top ten lists. My biggest problem is how the owner of this restaurant belittles her customers and allows her staff to do the same. Look at all the reviews where customers describe be ignored or being treated like they didnt belong. I find that really sad. The owner responds to bad reviews with a flip I dont care attitude. All the health code violations tell the same story

Tonights dinner in terms of food was decent. My wifes Pad Thai was great with a hearty portion, and my friend thoroughly enjoyed his burger. I ordered the salmon which was alright, but was underwhelming given the $23 price tag. For a moderate-size piece of salmon, white rice, and greens, the dish is overpriced. However, my true frustration with the restaurant was the service. Our waiter was terrible. His attentiveness was marginal at best and he had a poor attitude throughout our dining experience. The worst part was the multiple dirty looks towards our table, and especially my wife. Completely ignorant from a grown man. I left feeling as if we were looked down upon for being different. I am willing to give the restaurant another chance, however I hope they can provide a more positive dining experience.

Came here on a Sunday afternoon for brunch during memorial day weekend. Expected to have to wait for a table but the place was empty for some reason. They have seating in the back with and outdoor area so be sure to check it out if the weather is nice. They had a pre fixe menu with entree and cocktail for $15 which was definitely worth it. I got the bloody mary and the egg sandwich on a croissant with a side of potatoes. Everything came out quickly and the food was great. The service was good and the wait staff was friendly.

Love this place!!!! Super funky place, with amazing food! It can get a little loud, but we go there every time we are in Newport. They have an amazing menu, with a lot of choices. Even a picky eater should be able to find something here. One of my friends is gluten intolerant, and she has no problem finding a dish to eat. They have a nice selection of wines, and cocktails. But not a wide selection of hard liquor. The salmon was amazing. The cheese plate as a starter is extremely good. The scallion pancakes were heavenly!

This was one of our favorite places to eat when my hubby and I lived in Newport. We would take guests here because we knew they would find something on the menu that they would like. I loved the Pad Thai, and could never resist the chocolate banana purses for dessert. The dining area is not huge, and it is always busy so dont go if you dont want to be in the middle of a busy restaurant. The decor is all mismatched. I believe the idea was that everything was found at the Salvation army. I loved the unique atmosphere.

Really interesting and adventurous menu of food and drinks! We asked for patio seating which was cool. I had a delicious coconut mojito along with the beet salad and it was fresh and lively! The special striped bass was just that: special, and perfectly cooked - a nice thick chunk of white fish and I finished every morsel. Plates are generous. Try this place - it does not disappoint!

This is the best and most interesting restaurant in Newport. The menu is as eclectic as the environment. The staff is friendly, professional, and attentive. The kitchen cares about the food it prepares and it shows. Everything we had was excellent. It is a mistake not to eat here again, and again, and again. Dont miss it!

Something changed BIG TIME. Went from being our favorite place in Newport ,to well never return. Food, just plain awful. Service very surly. It seemed they couldnt wait for us to just pay our bill and leave.Salvation still has that very cool atmosphere, but thats in most restaurants in Newport. What a shame !!

One of my very favorite restaurants in Newport. I love the Teriyaki Salmon with fried spinach, and finger ice cream wirh chocolate banana purses. Great atmosphere, decent service. Friendly without over doing it. No finesse but always a pleasant experience.

1) Couldnt order off the childrens menu 2) Food was cold they obviously dropped AJs market catch of the day 3) Name of server? 4) Food took forever 5) Everyone was complaining about their food. This usually doesnt happen at a good restaurant.

Some of the food was pretty good. Bolognese too salty. Drinks disappointed. Salvation Sunset terrible drink - tasted like kool-aid with smelly socks dropped in. Awful 90s music that may appeal to some but didnt suit the crowd.

Amazing food, great service! I got the beet salad, the teriyaki salmon, and the banana purse dessert. It was all fabulous and I would return for any of it. We also had the nicest waitress and loved the whole experience.

Cute, dark place. The staff was friendly and the food was tasty, but the menu is lacking stuff good for sharing. Its mostly composed dishes, which is odd for a place that acts as a bar at night more than a restaurant.

Great vibe, fun decor, and great service. The food left a lot to be desired. The only winning dish in our group of 8 people was the korean-inspried ribs. Go for drinks/vibe but skip the food

Hands down our favorite restaurant in Newport. Delicious and innovative food plus a great beer selection. I do wish they would update their cocktail menu a little more frequently though.

Amazing drinks (get a Nor Easter, or New England Punch), soup, and meal (we had the best Pad Thai and Skirt Steak in years). Cool decor and atmosphere, as well. Well definitely be back.

Stopped by for dessert last night and it was amazing! The staff was very nice and took good care of us even though we had a small $ ticket. Will definitely be going back for dinner.

Really unusual dishes and beautifully cooked food. Burger wasnt as exciting as Id hoped, but salmon was to die for, and the banana dessert was delicious and amazingly light!

Nice place, friendly staff. Little over overpriced for food which is an eclectic selection but still tasty. Short ribs were very good, sweet with a kick. Red Sangria.

Delicious food options, one of the best places to do a group dinner in Newport. Great specialty cocktails too, and all at a reasonable price.
