I went to Riviera on a Saturday afternoon with my wife and two friends. We asked for a table of four, and told the waiter that we were waiting on a friend. In the meanwhile, we ordered appetizers and the waiter continually asked us when we were ready to order. Our friend had not arrived yet, and we kept telling him to wait until the friend arrived. Granted, I could understand if we were holding up restaurant business, but the restaurant was empty. And, our friend only took about half an hour to arrive. When my friend did show up, we ordered Paella. It was awful. The cheap, fake crab meat tasted like wet, mushy flour, and the rice was greasy, undercooked, and entirely misflavored. The waiter came to ask us if we wanted more to drink. We had kept the drinks coming steadily, and it seemed that he wanted us now to start on his wine list. I looked at the wine list, but there werent any wines I recognized. We decided to continue with what we were drinking. This decision apparently bothered the waiter, who decided that he would appeal to each of us individually almost insisting that we try his wine. I felt like we had just entered a pawn shop, because at that point it was all about sales. The drinks we ordered after we turned down the wine came dirty and watered down. They were served in dirty glasses, and black specks were floating in the drinks. When we left, I looked back at the restaurant and the waiter was staring at us through the window. It was creepy. The food was bad. The service was bad. The experience was awful. I will never eat here again.

There were 3 of us. First off we had a wobbly table and had to move. Not a big deal. Our waitress was very nice but knew nothing about the menu. In her defense she was new...but there is such a thing as "training"! We had cheese for appitizer, that was good. My dad ordered a Portuguese pork plate which he enjoyed. Me and my boyfriend ordered Paella and were very excited. We waited a very long time for our food. The first thing we noticed about the Paella was there wasnt shrimp. When we asked our waitress about it....she didnt know if it was included. A few minutes later someone brought over a few shrimp. The second thing was we didnt recognize something in Paella and asked our waitress what it was....you guessed it, she didnt know. She asked a fellow worker who came over and said it was crab meat.....I was instantly turned off because I know what crab meat looks like! He confirmed it was imitation crab meat! At a fine dining ....NOT. I expressed how dissapointing the Paella was and they offered to buy a round of shots. Did I mention I ordered a bottle of red? Two glasses each Im sure was enough. I asked for a discount instead (the bill came to about $68) They took the cheese off the bill...I didnt feel it was enough to make up for the fact that they gave us imitation crab meat instead of shrimp! One last thing....the seafood was dry over cooked and rubbery. Its not in my nature to complain, they just blew it! Never going back there.

Normally a good experience. Not the case on Easter. Really busy as expected but very disorganized. 1 hour after being seated all we have are drinks. Limited menu which is ok, but refused to make pasta like they normally do (its all my 2 year old would eat) also when ordering sides for our entrees was told he would bring it out and we could just figure it out. I get its Easter and its busy and theres a limited menu...But that doesnt mean you can be rude and dismissive towards customers. Next time will probably get catering or just skip this place all together on holidays. Sad to say since Ive been coming here for over 20 years. Edit Party of 15...Half of us got cold food...The other half of the party had to wait an extra 15 minutes to get their cold food. Absolute worst experience here ever. Waiter no where to be found..Had to get my own drinks from the bar. Edit Edit Spoke to the owner as we were leaving and was informed that I should have told him earlier and he would have went after the waiter...never mind offering us compensation, he offered to yell at his overworked staff .... 2 Days later.... 3 people who ordered the Easter Menu Ham became ill with upset stomachs and diarrhea Went from not coming back on holidays to probably not coming back at all.

I eat here literally all the time. I could say that 5/7 times that I have been there, my food has been amazing. I always order the grilled octopus and you can usually tell whether or not the same chef is cooking it because sometimes its perfect and sometimes its just good. The braised short rib special is phenomenal. Although, it isnt on the menu all the time, I wish it was. I always just order from the specials menu.. then, one time I ate and order the paella for 2 to share and the seafood was bad.. the squid was obviously frozen and the lobster was bad, it had an awful smell and taste and made me sick that night. ALTHOUGH, the majority of the time it is really good food, it just takes a little to come out.

I can summarize the experience in one word, unsafe. It is unsafe to eat at this establishment. They completely disregarded my moms food allergy and wasnt able to tell us whether or not her food was safe for her to eat. Another plate was steak that had not cooked enough. They took it back and threw the same steak on the grill and brought it back out. Ladies and gentlemen, had that steak been bitten or touched, it was now on the grill that others food was cooked on. Disgusting. We were too weary to eat our food and the manager barely tried to make amends. Please do not take your family here.

First time. Wont be my last. Was visited by Joe, the owner. He came to welcome us to his restaurant. We talked and he suggested octopus. With that, I ordered it and it was nothing short of amazing. The wait staff was extremely professional and very attentive. I am amazed at how well that place is run. Throughout the night I watched Joe visit many tables to check on things, as well as ours several times. Pricing was very reasonable, probs were ample. This needs to be a on your restaurant bucket list.

Absolutely lovely place! Food was amazing! Even took leftovers home and already looking forward to eating it tomorrow! Go go go there, you wont regret it. Service was absolutely delightful. I wish I caught the gentlemans name. He was an older man and did his job PERFECTLY. Staff is always working together nicely. They make you feel like youre on vacation! Will definitely be back!
