My wife and I eat out a lot because Bucks County has so many great restaurants, but around our area, there wasnt a good Chinese restaurant. So we were overjoyed when we "discovered" Mandarin Garden on our way to a show. Outside of the city, Mandarin Garden is by far the best Chinese in the region. There are a few things that make it a standout to us: - Excellent food, of course. The wonton soup is delicate and delicious. Our Japanese mother always requests that we bring a quart home for her, and shes very fussy! The entrees are always delicious, our favorites are the Peking Duck and the Gunpowder shimp. Phenomenal! - Friendly owner. Even though we only go there about once a year, the owner always has a smile and warm greeting for us. He really makes us feel welcome. - Great prices for what you get. Were used to paying $18-$30 for an entree in better restaurants in our area. Here, most of the entrees are $15 or less. For this quality, we consider it a bargain. Overall, Mandarin Garden is a restaurant that we look forward to going to whenever were in the area.

Absolute garbage, the last time we were here was 10 yrs ago and i had the shredded duck salad and got sick from it. We were in the mood for old fashion chinese food so aganst my better judgement we orderd take out,... it was the worst , not even food, very dissapointing , the "meat" had no real flavor just the swill it swam in, the duck sauce leaked all over the condoment bag even the fortune cookies were burned, no wonder it was almost empty , 10 yrs ago you couldnt get in the door at 8pm on a fri night, if your from the area do yourself a favor, go to Pho or ooka and steer clear of this place.

best quality chinese food in abington/willow grove area, maybe in all the montco burbs. the menu is impressive--its not just your typical "general tsos hut". everything was prepared wonderfully, and the hot and sour soup is actually both hot and sour (unusual in our experience)! their chinese new year banquet menu looked very good, but we didnt get to try it out this time.

The gentleman who waited on our group had complete knowledge of the menu. He accomodated our need for separate checks without fuss and with humor. The steamed shrimp dumplings and mussels were very tasty. Great selection of a variety of entrees, though not up to the level of chinatown for authenticity. We are definitely coming back here again.

A hometown favorite, takeout ready in 20 minutes with several other orders lining the counter. I enjoyed a past favorite, the Hot and Sour soup, and tried Paradise Chicken, tangy seasoned shredded chicken with vegetables so fresh and crisp-tender that my toddler eagerly sampled them, that was delicious. Also love the Generals chicken.

Impressive. The food is very, very good, the best. The service is great. The restaurants in "China Town" do not compare. In fact you might need to go to Beijing to find its equal! But it is not very large, so it may get little cramped at times. (I left just as the place was really beginning to fill up.)

Been coming here for years with the family and its been consistently above average. The owner and staff are very friendly. The interior could use some updates, but the food is pretty good. We like the gunpowder chicken - a staple every time we come. Sometimes their seasonal specials are very good too.

Not sure why this place only has 3 out of 5 stars. The food here is always fresh and the guy that runs the place is incredibly nice. My family has been coming for years now and we have never left disappointed. Its a great place for dinner if youre in the mood for Chinese.

Just fair. Not a very good value, portions are not suitable for the prices. Good for Americans NOT seeking authentic Chinese food, because you wont find it here. Not a terrible place, there is simply no reason to go back. Mediocre in every way except price.
