I have drove by this place since I moved here and finally got to stop with my friend. It was well worth the stop. As you walk in there is a very good compliment of old wood scenery and you are greeted with a smile.i have been a driver for along time and had the pleasure of some of the best food in the country. Ordering the butternut squash soup was a great option. It was probably the best I have had. Service was on point never waiting for anything. Myy main course came and never disappointed. I ordered a cowboy steak with Bourbon whiskey butter. The steak cooked to perfection. Melted in my mouth. The asparagus wrapped in bacon was so tasty. I cant wait to return.

If you have forgotten what fresh food taste like, this is the place to go. Found this gem while staying at the lake with my new bride and have eaten every meal there. Cut to order steaks, truly fresh seafood!!! When I asked to meet the Chef and mentioned that i have been a chef for 15 years I was invited back in the kitchen to see their operation. Incredible work. If your looking for bar food or want to be in and out in 30 minutes for dinner dont bother but if you are looking for great atmosphere and food cooked the way it was intended to be done without all the prepackaged factory cut trash....This is the place!

Great food for reasonable prices that are well worth what your getting. Trophy mounts all over the walls and great decor. Defiantly somewhere you want to try for your self and truly somewhere worth making a trip to eat here again. Overall I give this restaurant a 5 stars because the decoration, food, and atmosphere are all wonderful and I would defiantly recommend the Fairview cafe to anyone living in tafton or in towns around tafton or for anyone new or visiting this town. Great restaurant for whenever your wanting to treat yourself to a truly delicious meal!

Fathers Day weekend and the place was quite around 6. Nice table/atmosphere. Started with buffalo cauliflower. Great dish! Shared with three. Heard the bourbon buttered Ribeye was a hit so decided to try it. Meh. Ribeye was cooked perfectly but there was no bourbon infused in the pat of butter?!? Dad was told he could have tuna...waitress returned to let him know it was tilapia. Blech. He wasnt impressed. The whole experience was a hit or miss. I would try it again. There is hope!

We were in the area for about a month and ate at several restaurants in the Hawley/Tafton area. Fairview Cafe is by far the best restaurant in the area. The decor is very appealing as is the ambiance. It is moderately expensive but the food is worthy of its cost. It is a place for a leisurely meal, everything is handmade from scratch when it is ordered so it takes a while to get your food but again it is worth the wait. We ate here 3 times and was never disappointed.

We had our anniversary dinner here last night as we wanted to try somewhere different. We had a fabulous meal & the atmosphere was very warm & cozy! Only downside was we had no idea it was BYOB so no wine with dinner unless you know to bring your own. Well definitely visit Fairview Cafe again!! Highly recommend it!

Ill tell you this is a gem when compared to its neighboring restaurants. Food was very good. Presentation could use work but flavors were pretty darn on. Food was simple but clean. Probably the only place Id recommend consistently to friends an family.

Fairview cafe suppose to work till 10pm but we came right after 7pm to celebrate mothers day with my family. They did not want to serve us saying they dont serve customers after 7pm. Why they say they open till 10pm? Very disappointing. Never come again.

What a beautiful cafe, full of countrylike atmosphere, and delicious food. With a variety of salads and sandwiches, it was hard to select one. Then there was the pastry counter... OMG! This is a MUST if you are anywhere near this part of Pennsylvania.

The food was sort of good, but some of the food was undercooked and felt like rubber. The service was terrible and it was my parents 50th anniversary. We waited two hours when we finally got our food. It was very disappointing

What a wonderful place. I brought my youth group there as a treat and the staff was welcoming and accommodating. It is a great place to slow down a little and enjoy a fantastic environment and great food.

We had dinner there last night with 7 in our party and everyones food was delicious along with a beautiful presentation. The atmosphere was warm and cozy! We cant wait to go back again. Highly recommend!
