We are so used to going to these big chain stores to get our Bagels but we were so happy when we found a small, privately owned bagel shop. We love supporting the small guys. We really liked the everything Bagels, they always seem to hit the spot. But we noticed something happening after our first six or seven visits. We had a surplus of butter pads left over from going to the big chains so we would bring them along with us when getting our Bagels from The Bagel Cafe. We didnt think it was a big deal until we noticed snarling faces from the staff when we just asked for our Bagels toasted. I guess since the up charge for butter is a dollar when it is usually free at most other places, they looked at it as failed profit from the customer. So we notice that we would start getting everything Bagels that had the least amount of everything on there. We thought maybe it was coincidental, so we paid attention the next three times just to make sure. We deliberately were given the runt of the litter automatically when we didnt have anything else put on our Bagels. Come on man, I love my spices, dont cheat me because I dont want your butter! We really thought it was crazy but kept going anyway just to support the little guy but we have now stopped going completely that they have started charging us to toast our bagel. The owner said he would not charge us to toast The Bagel if we added something else to the bagel like cream cheese or butter. We are now back at the big chains getting our 99-cent Bagels toasted and our surplus of butter pads because we just dont like the attitude we get for just wanting a toasted bagel.

Terrible experience. Employees were rude by ignoring customers as they were speaking to them. Owner, Raj lost temper, cursed out my family over a simple misunderstanding. I witnessed the cook touch raw bacon, cash register, and everything else all with the same gloves on. My advice is to eat at Dunkin Donuts in the same shopping center. **UPDATE - Please read the owners response. Does this sound like a local businessman that you want to support? A simple, "Im sorry for your experience, please enjoy a free sandwich on us," would have more than sufficed. Name-calling is intolerable and immature. The fact is I am college educated and in my late-twenties. There is nothing fake about my review. I have no ill will toward this establishment. I am only simply recanting my experience and publicizing it in hopes that future customers will make informed decisions about where to spend their hard earned money. I am a huge proponent of small / local businesses, I actually do not prefer to support the big guys, full disclose. *UPDATE - I came back for the refund and the owner Raj totally trapped me, photographed my license plate, and refused to pay me the promised refund. Rajs response is typical of a misguided owner, blaming the customer opposed to taking responsibility. Ever heard the saying, "The customer is always right?" I will admit the service is typically mediocre to satisfactory, but on January 9th, 2016 it was the worst experience I ever had in a food or retail establishment. Congratulations.

Ive been to the Bagel Cafe multiple times. More often than not, the bagels are stupendous. Theyre hot, soft, and delicious. There have been a couple of times that the bagels werent very fresh, but they were still very good. Its worth a stop! The cream cheese spreads they have are also worth getting. They add even more flavor to an already good bagel.

I just called to place an order and told the man this was my first time ordering from this company and he told me to hurry up and place my order bcs he had a long line. I will never go to this place. EVER. I dont care how long your line is, you dont EVER treat a paying customer this way. Im huge on customer service and this service was horrible!

If youre sick and tired of the powdered egg crap that Dunkin Doughnuts serves you then youve got to come here. They serve the best New York style bagels in the area. Plus their sandwiches are fenominal! This is the way Dunkin Doughnuts used to make their breakfast sandwiches a long time ago, with attention to detail for each customer.

we used to go here all the time but stopped completely because of the service is RUDE, the food is good but the service is RUDE and that kills it for me. The owner especially is pretty rude. My suggestion is to learn some BASIC customer service skills and that would make a huge difference.

I was looking for a place that makes fresh bagels. My friend told me about this place. My favorite is lox with cream cheese, onions, tomatos, capers, on pumpernickel bagel. Highly recommend this place! Its amazing to watch fresh bagels coming out of the oven. I will definetly visit again.

Fresh bagels, good sandwiches, and pleasant service. I pick up bagels for the office once a month, and the last two times Ive gone to Bagel Cafe. Everyone comments on how good they are, and asks for the location. Im skipping Dunkin Donuts from now on and going to Bagel Cafe every time.

Wonderful bagels and super service. This not your commercial, chain-based place. This is NY style, small shop, personal service kinda place. Neat family running the place takes great pride of what they do. Go here if you want great bagels.

Quick fast and friendly service along with tasty bagels. The breakfast sandwiches are awesome and they dont care if you bring in your own coffee. We stop by for breakfast everyonce in a while. So much better than Panera or Dunkin Donuts.

Pumpernickel lox, any combo you can think of, delicious, plus the manager gives a free side of extra humour ;)
