I think a two-star rating is more than fair when a restaurant messes up 3 out of 5 items in your order. We were staying late at work and decided to order from V&S. From what other reviewers are saying, I guess service really goes out the window once closing time rolls around. The cashier was courteous, but thats about all the good I can say. We got four sandwiches and a slice of pizza. When I got there, he apologized that they werent fresh slices. He heated it up for me upon my asking, I paid, and I was good to go. When I got back to the shop, the first thing I heard was that my coworkers bacon cheeseburger had no bacon on it. Then another coworker who ordered a cheese steak with banana peppers complained that he was given hot peppers instead. Only one person really enjoyed their sandwich. We would have called back, but they were closed at this point. We paid around $40, which is too much for a mostly-messed up order. I know that employees just want to go home at the end of a long day, but a customer is still a customer. Id be willing to give V&S one more try, but I dont think my coworkers will.

Ordered a large cheese steak on a soft roll, plus a side of fries, to go. After a 6 minute ride home the grease from the sandwich has leaked through the plastic and wax paper and through the bag. Leaked enough to leave a grease spot on my car seat. 6 minutes. I opened up the wrapping paper and couldnt even get it onto a plate without it falling to pieces. VERY disappointed in the poor quality of the packaging AND the steak itself. This appears to be very low quality beef. I dont know if V&S gets beef for all their locations from the same supplier, but at the Temple location Ive never had anything as disgusting or disappointing as I had at the Sinking Spring location. The store location itself is old and tired. The blonde girl behind the counter seems miserable. The unlit neon signage has enough grease and dust on it that you might not be able to tell if its lit. The display cases sit empty, looking very forlorn. It was either this or Five Guys, and I chose poorly.

V&S is a local favorite thats been around for a while, and they do have decent sandwiches. That said, its not exactly my first choice. The subs are constructed … oddly. The meat tends to slide out the top, leaving you alternating between mouthfuls of just meat and mouthfuls of just bread and lettuce. You almost need to take a knife and cut the meat up a bit, forcing it back into the roll. Is this a strange complaint? Definitely. Am I just terrible at eating sandwiches? Maybe. But regardless, its always been an annoyance. The steak sandwiches are on point. The Italian sandwiches are delicious but incredibly messy. Bring a drop cloth. Oh, and bring cash. Thats all they accept for payment.

The service was horrible! All the employees did was stand around and talk. The man that made our food didnt even check to see if he completed the order. I had my husband check the bag, we were missing items. The manager didnt even care. He couldnt understand why we were upset. We waited 20 minutes for 2 sandwiches. My husband couldnt even eat his sandwich due to it being way over cooked and hard as a rock. Then they put a hot and cold sandwich in the same bag. The cold sandwich was now hot. And we only live 5 minutes away. Whom ever the owner is needs to check in more on his night staff. Very poor everything! Will never waste money there again.

Sandwiches and fries are good, but kind of expensive for what youre getting. Depending on who is making your cheesesteak, you may end up with it being perfect or theres the chance youll end up with a sloppy mess on a grease soaked roll. And you have to specifically ask to have your sandwich, cheesesteak, etc cut in half because they dont ever do it. Ive neve r had their pizza, but it doesnt look good. They sell cold pieces of left over pizza at the counter and it just doesnt look like its something Id enjoy. But, everyones different. This is just my personal opinion based on my personal experiences with V&S on Penn Ave. in Sinking Spring.

On numerous ocasions i have been in the sanwich shop and the employees just let the phone ring and ring and when it stops ringing they take it off the hook. Well today i tried to call in a larger order for my place of employment and the phone rang and rang so i hung up and tried again 5 minutes later and guesse what yep busy single for over an half an hour. I wont be going here again. I took my over $100 dollar order to Speedys up the road and got a free bag of chips and a free bottle of soda.

This store sucks! I usually go to the one on Lancaster ave and they never mess up my order! I asked for two sandwiches on hard rolls and no onions and in one and onions in the there and on top of that I switched the sauces. Is there a button for no stars. You need to change asap. Very disappointed and I called early to so you had well over and hour to make it

This place is a classic sandwich shop nothing fancy but the quality of their food is spot on. The bread is fresh and their meats are high quality. Their cheese steak and Italian sandwich are a staple in my diet. I am never disappointed by the service or my food here.

Ordered two steaks sandwiches from here. Not only was the meat not cooked , the service was poor. Not V&S standards. I rather had stayed hungry. Immediate improvement needed !
