The food here is the typical chinese joint with one exception. My story begins when I decided to take my 19 year old hungry son to have an all you can eat chinese at their buffet. Before, I go on, understand that I visit this place regularly. My son gets the emperial crableggs and I order the shrimp fried rice and not the buffet. I had never had emperial crableggs before and I understand that they are expensive for the business. I asked my son if I could have a taste of his and of course he handed me a half of crab leg. I proceeded to put the leg between my hand and try to break it. I looked up and the young lady that works there rushes over to the table and yells "you cant eat that!" I say fine. Then I thought about it. my son is not working right now...I am paying for both meals and have been here several times in the past and have brought other customers here with me on several occassions. My son then looked at me and said to me "mom, they are standing there staring at us...probably to see if you are going to eat some more of the leggs!" I was both embarrassed and upset. I asked the young lady if she wanted me to pay for the "taste of the leg that I had...waiting to see if she was going to charge me full price for an additional buffet. She replied, "ok." and charges me $5.00 additional on my bill. I paid it and vowed never to eat there again or recommend to anyone. I felt ripped off.. when I usually leave there satisfied...would you?

My family is on a budget. We went out to eat for lunch instead of dinner so that we could enjoy some chinese food at a lower price. We arrived a couple minutes after 3 on a Wednesday. The website and all the signs in the restaurant all said the lunch price was until 3:30 and the dinner price started at 3:30. After we ate and were ready to go they brought our bill, for 2 adult dinner buffets. The difference is about $6 on our tab. We nicely pointed out that we arrived well before the dinner hour and were ready to leave only a few minutes after 3:30. Despite our efforts she insisted that they had already switched over to dinner at other customers request. One- I highly doubt anyone is going to come in and ask to be charged the higher dinner price... two- I dont care what another customer may or may not have asked or when they switch over. The sign says 3:30, I was never told different until after I had already eaten. They were dishonest and ripped us off. My family will never be returning to this restaurant.

Sounds to me like some of the people going to this place have tight wallets and dont understand that a buffet doesnt mean you take food from your plate and feed your "baby bird" for free... I have no affiliation, nor have I even been to this place, but my bet is that they are just watching out for their company, and that THEY arent being ripped off, not the other way around. A plate of food cost the same, nomatter who is eating it, dont get the buffet if you expect to be charged less. AND also these reviews are for a review of the FOOD, not your personal problems with the waiters... Get over yourself, and write a real review, I am hungry and need food advice not your stupid gripes! PS I cant believe Someone would actually harbor this much anger to write a review 2 YEARS later... just wow, you have nothing better to do with your time, but think about a bad time that happened THAT long ago. SAD SAD SAD... (in retrospect) I will say that crab leg story is very strange however, especially for a regular customer.

Stopped by this place when we were in a hurry because we thought it was a buffet. Walked in, and we were one of 2 parties in the whole place on a Friday night around 7:30pm. The buffet had very little food, almost as if they had started to clean up and close up. We really did not have time to order and wait for food, so we opted to try the buffet. Not a good choice. What little there was on the buffet, had been there for a while (room temp, not very good). When we asked the staff about the buffet, she responded by asking what we would like, and shed ask them to make some up for us. But that kind of defeated the purpose - we did not want to wait on an order. And while Im sympathetic to a business owner, (who wants to fill a buffet full of food when no one is there to eat it), its not good business to advertise yourself as having a buffet, when you really dont have one. Just change the business model to an order only place. Good luck.

Great place for carry out. I always found it to be spotless and the staff friendly. Time estimates are accurate for carry out. I can;t comment on the buffet because I have never tried it. Sit down meals from the menu are always delicious and the staff friendly. I can tell you this is this is the best Chinese restaurant for sit down or carry out in East York area. Trust me I tried them all on this side of town.

I will not go back..the women SOO rude, and watch every move u make. They charged us full price for our then 3 year old. He ate like a baby bird, what a rip off. No desire to ever go back...That was two yeas ago. If you enjoy being in an environment where people are rude and obnoxious then you would like this place. Go across town and enjoy good food and much friendlier place.

I cant comment on the buffet, as Im not into buffets but the takeout is awesome. The service is very friendly too, I dont even have to tell them my order customizations any more, they remember :) My favorite is the Szechuan chicken. Their fried rice poured into the left over sauce is sooo yummy. The Mongolian beef is also very tasty.

They give bottled water instead of tap, and little crunchy won tons with duck sauce if you eat in. Theyre always clean inside. And their pad thai is amazing! Try their pork pad thai.

Love the food. Great rice, not mushy. Good lunch specials. Plus, owner always gives my son candy when he comes but weve been coming here for the better part of 10 years:-)
