Great market with excellent food. Although it may be a little more expensive than Giant Eagle, you get what you pay for. You want quality, you sometimes have to pay a little more. Youre in Shadyside, if you cant realize that, you should probably re-evaulate your Point Park education. They carry Boars Head, which is amazing. Excellent Deli. Workers are friendly and helpful! Running a small family-run business is hard these days. Whole foods blows.

Though a little pricey, its close to my apartment and not packed with people. If you just need a few things, this gives you a better grocery selection than a place like RiteAid and without the crowds of Giant Eagle. Wonderfully prepared foods. Reminds me of the small markets I could go to when I was a child where I grew up.

This place is terrible. I asked for some ice because our power was out a block away and they charged me $4 for 2 tiny little sandwich bags of ice. Great way to treat their neighbors and clientele. Go the extra couple blocks to Trader Joes and leave this pretentious and overpriced junk for the birds.

Website says they open at 8, but the people who run it said they dont open until 9. They told us this by hand gesture through their locked doors. Very rude.

Only market in this area, so the prices and selection are not the best. But, in a pinch, if you need something to take home, then this is the market.

Its the finest quality foods, meats and fish in the area. A bit more expensive than Whole Foods, etc., but well worth it. Great family service too.
