Im from Seattle and recently searched the Internet for a deli that would deliver food to a colleagues family in the PIttsburgh area. His father passed away and we wanted to send a sandwich tray. Aaron at Carson Street Deli was so professional and helpful over the phone. He spent several minutes with me on the phone helping to make sure we got what we wanted and that it would be delivered in a timely fashion. He even included a note of sympathy for us. The family called us about 3 hours later to say that they had already received the sandwiches and how good they were. PIttsburgh is lucky to have Carson Street Deli, but I can also highly recommend them to anyone outside the Pittsburgh area who may need to have food delivered to friends and family.

One of my favorite places in Pittsburgh! I have never been disappointed by their sandwiches. The atmosphere is casual and comfy. Dont overlook the outdoor seating in the back! The beer selection is fantastic (especially for a pseudo-snob like me.) The ordering system is a little clunky. And when you order delivery, they are not prompt. But the staff are always friendly. My favorites are the Balboa, and the Reuben off the panini grill. The stuffed grape leaves are also worthy of note.

Ive loved the Deli since before they moved. I still love it now. The portions are great, the price isnt ridiculous, and if youre into craft beer (Im not) they have a great selection. There are vegetarian options, (lacto-ovo) Food is quickly prepared, and the staff is friendly and very willing to meet your needs. If youre in southside and want a sandwich, stop at the Carson Street Deli, I promise you wont be disappointed.

Theyve moved. I went to the deli Ive loved for years and found it closed. There were no signs but I found that they had relocated a block away. The new digs are incredible. The whole place was decked out and super clean. They changed their logo, color scheme and even increased their menu options. No beer = no bums hanging outside the place. The food was stellar as usual. You guys have to see this place!

Love this place. A little pricey, but you get HUGE, FRESH, sandwiches. This should be the sandwich joint people in Pittsburgh freak out about, not Primantis. Their food is locally sourced and always taste so, so fresh. They have a great selection of beer and the friendliest service. I come here often for lunch with my boyfriend and when I move away from Pittsburgh, this will be the one restaurant I miss!
