Great place to stop for most occasions. Will not only hit the spot, but redefine your standards for where "the spot" is. You can never go wrong with the classics like Pittsburgher Cheesesteak or Capicola and Egg, but just about everything is fantastic when done Primantis style. Kielbasa, Hot Sausage, Roast Beef, Pastrami, Fish, you name it, its all good. The only one I would avoid is tuna. Tastes very canned, especially compared to the quality of the others. Service is usually* quick, even on busier nights. However, this Primantis recently tried to change the aesthetic by making the meals appear more gourmet, serving sandwiches and apps on square plates instead of in the classic basket and wax paper. Sometimes, they even bring you the sandwich uncut with a big knife in it for the customer to split on their own. This is a little off-putting for me, but maybe thats because I was just so used to my old Primanti ways. Still the go-to spot to meet up with old friends, watch the game, or heck, just fill me up whenever I feel hungry.

Server was very rude. I didnt have my ID not did one other girl but we was NOT drinking. The two boys was and they had their ID but just for them to have a beer they had to seat at the bar and we could not sit with them if they was drinking. Found out it is done crazy law P.A. has but we are from Ohio (thank God). So we didnt know about all these crazy laws nor do we have them at home (we have freedom there). Pizza was horrible! !! He sauce as so sweet. Wings was ok and the boys loved one drink there. We will never go back. This place dont even deserve one star. I would never recommended. Our visit was 9/6/15 @ 12:45 am

Worst primantis ive ever been to. The staff is awful. Weve sat there an hour and a half for two sandwiches and wings on a slow night and received the wrong flavor wings. When we asked to send them back and get buffalo she said there was a new chef and they dont know which container the buffalo is in because he mixed them up...? I live right down the street and dread coming to this place because the service is just terrible. Unfortunately I love the sandwiches and its again right down the street so I endure it for the love of Pittsburgh.

God forbid you order on the phone. I asked if I can get three flavors of boneless wings since I ordered 24 (8 wings a flavor) and she said pretty angry we can do 12 of one flavor and two flavors of 6 and thats what were going to do ... This was the only thing I ordered and I knew the flavors so it was a simple 30 second call. I just laughed at her after she said that. I said thank you at the end of the call and she said sure ... So I couldnt help but laugh much harder at her negativity. She growled after that.

Had the worst experience at this restaurant. The bartender was too busy chatting with the guys at the other end of the bar to recognize I wasnt being tended to. I had to walk around to the other end to finally get her attention. When she was taking my order she seemed bothered, and when my sandwich came, it was horrible! I never got a refill on my drink and the sandwich wasnt worth it. Never again will I come to this Primantis. The bartender sucks and the food isnt the best here ..

Ordered takeout while working. Co-worker picked it up and didnt check it. When it got back to the office it was the wrong sandwich. Manger on the phone sounded less than interested and kept saying should couldnt believe that it would happen since the cook was awesome. Asked for a refund of the sandwhich only (ordered a side as well) said she couldnt give the refund since it was paid for online but would send a coupon. It never came. Good food just go to a different location.

Always fast and friendly service, free parking and great Happy Hour and Dailey specials. They are very family oriented and will make your order as requested if you dont like the original sandwich. Being from Pittsburgh all my life this Chain Primanti Bros. stands out from the three original restaurants because they have more options on their Menu for their customers. Oh ya! Location and free parking is a plus.

I like the sandwiches. The bartenders are TERRIBLE here. Through my whole meal they never refilled my water or even asked me if I wanted another beer. They never once asked if was doing ok. I had to flag them down to get change and he asked if i wanted all 5s back. No way dude. He didnt deserve the $1 i gave him for the sub par service. And there were two of them. Horrible!! They should both be fired.

their sandwiches are the bomb, jalapeño pretzel was very good. got a kids meal which was pizza & peaches. peaches were served in a dole plastic cup like you get at the grocery store and pizza seemed like a frozen pizza and was pretty meh. the fries are super good. its been a few years since Ive been to a primantis. it looks like they have expanded the menu and have wings and such now but didnt try any

This is a great branch Primantis. I say that in you can get the same signature sandwiches here as the original in the strip district but you just cant get the history and atmosphere of the original. Service is good but can get busy at peak times. Beer draft list is OK but most people drink ic light here so the craft selection can suffer a little always a few ipas and a few stouts tho.

Worst wings I have ever had. I ordered traditional style with the Buffalo honey sauce and they were served kinda cold, sauce was terrible tasting and they were breaded. Also ordered the fried zucchini and the menu touts that they are larger than normal when simply they are sliced long ways which makes them less crispy bc they are large and zucchini is full of water. No Bueno.

The service was exceptional. No special orders though - strictly by the menu. It is very noisy, especially with a popular game on TV. Food was great - but we hear that the original location downtown is still better. Yes the fries are NOT crisp - not sure they are supposed to be. Pizza was excellent - and by the slice during happy hour and Wed. game night is really nice.

I have never had a bad meal Primanti Bros. I hit them up pretty much every time I come to the Pittsburgh area. Ive eaten at three of their restaurants and I am always happy. I always get the capicola and cheese sandwich with an egg added. I should probably try something different next time because all the food I see them taking to other tables looks awesome as well.

after waiting 10 minutes at the Steubenville pike location, with no service, i asked the bartender if we could get service. she told the waitress to bring us menus. after another 10 minutes i walked out because they still couldnt be bothered. i went to the cranberry location and had excellent service and left him his tip and the tip the other waitress would have gotten.
