I grew up about 2 blocks from Mayfair Bakery, so I have lots of experience with them and lots of fond memories. This is your typical neighborhood bakery - nothing new wave or fancy, just excellent quality products. If you are looking for some recommendations, here are my favs: Butter Cake (best in the city, hands down), Snowflake Rolls (good for buffets or as a large dinner roll), Rum Ring (decadent goodness), sugared jelly doughnuts (the jelly is amazing), and last but not least RAISIN BARS! If you are in the area, its worth your while to stop by - heck, its worth it even if you arent in the area :)

The Mayfair Bakery is Amazing!! I called on a sunday morning looking for a Philadelphia Buttercake. They said they only had three left (I should have request all three!!) but would hold one for me! I was so excited to get a buttercake before returning to york, pa!!! I bought the cake and a large assortment of cookies that were fantastic! The choco chip were to die for. Cant wait to return!!!
