I didnt like anything! What happened? Their bakery used to be delicious, now everything is disgustingly horrendous. I am so disappointed. Ordered 2 cupcakes and 1 donut, and 1 cannoli for each of my grandchildren and myself. The cupcakes were dry, icing had to be bought from some kind of food supply warehouse, not a true chocolate. But tasted sweet but no real chocolate flavor, maybe artificial flavor, I dont know. The plain donut was just that, plain. But the cannoli was absolutely disgusting, the cheese filling had NO flavor, the shell and chocolate chips, which must be artificially flavored were just down right bad. I threw it away after a few bites. What has happened to this place, did they give up all the tried and proven recipes over the years or did they just sell out to inferior cake supply companies, hoping to make bigger profits!? The second thing that upset me, because number 1 is the horrible baked items, is the fact that I paid full price after watching the woman in front of me buy a football cake and a big tray of Italian cookies, try to give the cashier $40 but was given back $20, I dont know why, maybe a friend? But I paid $7.50 for 2 cupcakes, 1 donut and 1 tasteless cannoli. All which didnt even have the quality of a supermarket bakery! I could have went to shop rite or acme and had 100% better quality, and we all know how their mass produced products taste! My sisters wedding cake years ago was absolutely amazing, the baby shower cake I ordered 10 years ago, absolutely amazing! Now they are a complete disgusting tasteless expensive mess. Go elsewhere, I also happen to know that they arent contracted by a lot of the wedding venues that they used to be. And honestly, I thought maybe they just got too expensive or something like that, but now I understand, the quality is no longer there. I still have a terrible aftertaste in my mouth from eating 3 bites of what they are calling a cannoli. I am truly disappointed, it seems like theyve sold out, expensive prices with subpar product. I really feel sorry for leaving this review, because I really wanted to enjoy the product they used to sell, but I have to be honest. I would have for someone, like a bride, order an important item expecting the way they used to be and be totally let down by their product on an important occasion. It was really bad.

We ordered a wedding cake for my special day of September 3, 2016. I was told tat my wedding cake would be placed on the cake table and set up prior to our arrival at the hall. When we arrived at the hall my cake was found in the kitchen and my cake topper that we special ordered was nowhere to be found. We contacted the bakery and were told twice that we would get a call back and never did. After the 3rd call I was told, "Oh, i thought you were a telemarketer so the owner never got your message." She argued with me telling me that the cake topper and the box for the cake were delivered and that the cake was set up. After finally asking to speak to someone else, I was then told that after speaking to the driver, the driver admitted to leaving my special order cake topper and the box in the van. I also complained that we paid extra to have a different filling in each layer and the whole cake was plain! They kept my special order cake topper that I paid for and was never able to use, I paid for a cake that was completely wrong. You only get to enjoy that special day ONE TIME in your life and thanks to DiBartolo that part of my wedding experience was ruined!

After seeing Al on Hallween Wars, I specifically requested that he make my cake. This was for a rather big brithday occason, which we had to celebrate a year late, so it was supposed to be something special. While the cake delivered on flavor, it fell short aesthetically. Im a car nut and wanted a Corvette sculpted. Based on what Id seen on tv and the cakes on the website, I expected the cake to be very accurate and very detailed. Instead, the car was very generic and a little cartoonish. My parents had to tell me that it was supposed to be a Corvette. My parents designed the rest of the cake around a specific concept they created. However, the execution could have been better-more sophisticated and refined, given the occasion. My friends have had special occasion cakes made by less talented cake designers, that looked a lot more polished. Im not sure if another baker ended up making this cake or if my parents budget was too small but we couldnt celebrate my birthday on time due to illness, so i was really looking forward to this cake. However, I was very disappointed.

You are better off going to any grocery store bakery than DiBartolo Bakery in Collingswood, NJ. Went there one Saturday afternoon to buy cupcakes. Entered the store and two employees completely ignored me and finally another employee came from the back of the store to wait on me. The cupcakes in their display case looked fresh but ended up being stale and dry. They must have been made a few days prior. The employee expressed frustration and annoyance when I changed my mind and had them switch out one cupcake for another in the case. Spent close to $10 for two mini cupcakes and one regular size cupcake which they refer to as jumbo size! I paid cash and the cashier was literally rushing me out of the store when I paused to put my change back into my wallet. This place clearly only wants to deal with custom cake orders, so why do they even bother to be open to the public? I never felt so unwelcome in a bakery and I will certainly never go there again.

For the last 30+ years, my in-laws have been getting an Italian Cream/Rum Cake from DiBartolos for each of our Birthdays. We have always loved their Italian Cream Cake; it was the best around! However, since their bakery makeover, the cake has not been the same. We still get it for every birthday, but it is definitely not that good. The cake is dry and tasteless with little in the way of flavor, and the pudding layers are rubbery. And, for an Italian Rum Cake, theres very little rum flavor. On the show, Ms. Vincent made a comment about how your Italian Rum Cake is your signature cake, and yet she has you change the recipe! Please, please, PLEASE go back to your original recipe!

I recently had my wedding at Antony and Cleopatra Caterers in Williamstown, NJ and included in our services from them was a wedding cake from DiBartolo Bakery. What a cake it was! It was beautiful! We had three tiers, buttercream frosting and plain vanilla poundcake with chocolate chip poundcake. It was delicious and decorated beautifully. The owner was so nice. He helped us in choosing the design we wanted and said we had nothing to worry about. When I saw the cake at my reception it was breathtaking. Not to mention SO good! Anyway, they are an excellent bakery too. I recommend their cakes, cookies and other pastries! Absolutely wonderful! Vienna and Mike
