Very cute shop and great ice cream. My friend had a craving for some soft serve so I brought her here. We had the Salty Pimp, Bea Arthur and a vanilla cone with peanut butter lining. That last one was a huge waste. There was barely any peanut butter and thats what I was really craving. The basic cone is not worth the price. The specialty cones were good. I liked the dulce de leche in the Bea Arthur but my favorite was the salty pimp which we got with a waffle cone upgrade. Im not sure how ice cream can ever cost $10 but we satisfied our craving. Its definitely a cute place for a quick date or when showing someone around the city but its definitely over priced. I may be back or I may not

This was a let down for me. With a name like Big Gay Ice Cream and bright colorful decor, youd expect to be wowed. I wasnt. The ice cream is soft serve. Whether "secret Big Gay family recipe" soft serve or not, I dont know, but soft serve nonetheless. While they do some neat stuff like inject your soft serve with caramel or fudge, the portion size, price, and unexciting options were disappointing. This feels over-hyped. Big Gay does seem like a place which changes the menu frequently. I may pop in again for a chance at redemption.

This is a fun last stop if youre in the city for the day. You cant go wrong with Golden Girls Warhol-esque pictures and unicorn t-shirts. The staff is lovely. My friend and I stopped in with my little girl. I had a dish with fig/blood orange balsamic topping, my friend had the Salty Pimp and my daughter had an Oreo milkshake. The employee behind the counter complimented my daughters spirit and gave her stickers!! We will most certainly be back. :)

I stumbled upon big gay when I was in New York. Ever since then Ive wanted to visit all the ones close to me. Ive thought about the Rocky roadhouse for a year now! Yes, it is soft serve, however its super creamy. Then you get to watch them jam pack it full of extras. They have cones, cups, Popsicles, shakes.. Crazy flavors! You can buy shirts, stickers buttons etc. All the staff are super friendly and helpful. Great place for all.

Only time Id have soft-serve ice cream is from Big Gay Ice Cream. Ive never had a problem far as service at any of the locations. My go-to is the Mermaid. If you are a key lime kind of boy or gyal this is for you. It literally calms/satisfy my key lime pie urges until I get the real thing. Not all key lime pies are created equal.

Only 2 flavors; chocolate and vanilla. And, only soft serve. Chocolate is very good. $4 price tag is a little high for soft serve. Good news is the portion is large and includes jimmies and chocolate dip, if you want them. The mix comes from Ronnybrook Farms. Will have to look for its mix in other places.

Ive never thrown away ice cream before. I think it may have mostly been the chocolate covered pretzel pieces, which just tasted off. But I took a few bites and couldnt eat anymore and tossed it. I would try somewhere else. Doesnt help how expensive it was for soft serve, not hard ice cream.

Was anxious to try Big Gay. The Candy Cane icecream was so gritty that I threw it away after the 1st bite. Should have asked for my money back, but it was our sons birthday and I didnt want to. $5.11 for a small cup and it wasnt worth it. Hope they correct whatever the problem was.

Casually brilliant soft serve and shakes. Loved the salty pimp, also got a strawberry shake. Worth the trip albeit a little pricey. Still worth it though. Ice cream was so light and the shake was divine. If youre in the city and need an ice cream fix, you cant go wrong here

Super friendly staff and yummy ice cream and cookies. The ice cream wasnt out of this world though, just very yummy. I had the dark chocolate and sea salt cookie ice creams- I prefer the dark chocolate. A single is 2 scoops and you can choose 2 different flavors.

Fun flavors of toppings and add-ins! The weekly special shake was excellent! Only vanilla and chocolate soft serve though for base ice cream flavors as far as I could tell, unlike the larger selection at similarly priced Capogiro etc. Fun atmosphere!

A little on the pricey side, but they do a unique twist on an ice cream cone. All the types of cones Ive tried are pretty good. They are basically ice cream sundaes served in a cone. The portion sizes are decent for the soft serve.

Places has good selection of ice cream nice colors and many different flavors, however many of their ice cream and flavors our way to you rich. Theres a too much sugar too much toppings and everything is to complicated.

Big Gay Ice Cream is a spin on the traditional ice cream shop. The custard is nice and thick, just the way I like it! Overall, there is no big "catch" that pulls you into Big Gay Ice Cream, except the name.

Attention grabbing name, but not as themed or as wild as we hoped, which may be better for most folk. Still, cant ruin ice cream, and they have some very clever concoctions. Absolutely worth a stop.

Amazing! I got the American Globs, which has chocolate covered pretzel in it and it was incredible. The CPR chart with Bea Arthur and a unicorn is hilarious. Would highly recommend!
