Went here for lunch with a friend. Cozy little place with friendly staff and tasty vegan interpretations of Latin food We had: Watermelon and jicama salad (3/5) - a very pretty dish but ultimately the watermelon was not very ripe, the jicama cubes were slightly too big so their slightly starchy, sweet flavor overpowered the very subtle seasoning. Plantains (5/5) - just amazing. Perfectly cooked, perfectly seasoned, nice sauce not too sweet and very flavorful Brussels Sprouts (5/5) - baked to a perfect crisp, slightly tart with a really interesting play on peanut sauce. Cactus enchiladas (5/5) - generally veggie enchiladas turn me off cause they end up ultra cheesy with no substance. This dish totally broke the rules, the cactus and rice filling gives the enchilada some substance while the mole sauce is very flavorful without being overpowering. Definitely worth trying. Overall a great pick for a tapas style shared lunch or dinner.

I was in town for a work meeting and Bar Bombón was recommended to me. The waitstaff were both super friendly as well as helpful and the food was excellent. I noticed one of the one-star reviews below and I cant agree. Ive made plenty of Gardein things at home and the restaurant seemed quite the opposite. The mushroom empanadas (which, absolutely, try with the sauce they put on the side) were great as was the roasted brussels sprouts. The cubano club was a nice size, tasted delicious, and was a perfect comfort food. The buffalo cauliflower tacos were just as good. To top it off, Ive been craving coconut custard for weeks and they had it on the menu. Ive had plenty of thrown-together simple vegan foods when eating out and this felt more like everything was well-put together and made closer to from-scratch.

This place is all vegan and the food is amazing. pictured #1: mushrooms empanadas. cubano sandwich. meatballs and yuca. All plant based and delicious. also ordered horchata (drink). #2: cream float & tres leches. Unfortunately I didnt like my tres leches so an amazing server: Dan! was kind enough to offer me another option (thank goodness because the bartender have said I couldnt do a swap already) which leads to pic#3: layered custard. (Dont know the exact name) but it was so amazing. From bottom to top: creamy coco. Hard layer of chocolate and hazelnut. Passion fruit foam and coco whip. It was so amazing. Im very grateful for Dans kindness! He earned the 5 start! Good job! :)

Found this place by accident. Wife , is a vegan so we went here thinking it s another vegan restaurant.. nope, it was a puerto rican vegan restaurant. Lol. I laugh because, thats kind of a coundertiction. We eat meat.. love meat . Pig, and chicken. Lol.. so this place gives that at home feel for us! Plus, gives us food that my wife can eat.. GREAT FOOD , GREAT PEOPLE very helpful. And kind. Only thing they need to change. Is better chairs. And some how get more room for the amount of people that are there.. other then that. EXCELLENT PLACE..

The first time I ate here I thought everything was good. The next few times were underwhelming. Last night I sent my side of Peruvian potatoes back because It wasnt edible (watery potatoes- bland & vinegary). The fries that came with our sandwich (lacking the avo we were expecting) were doused in salt. I really wanted to like this place. Ive tried several different entrees, sides, and drinks from the menu. The food is terribly inconsistent, extremely salty & yet under seasoned at times??? I hope they work on this.

Not a vegan in the least bit...in fact, I love protein and didnt even know until I was looking at the menu and the waiter informed us that the proteins here were "soy based". Flavors and textures were so deceiving...in a very, very good way! Great food, whether you chose the vegan-meat or traditional vegetarian dishes. This place knows what their doing! I was pleasantly surprised...it was my first "vegan" restaurant visit but I have to say that I would do it again. My wife cant believe it! lol

I stopped in to grab a bite for lunch before heading to the airport. My taste buds were more than delighted with this choice! The Cuban was amazing (as a Tampa native, Ive had many in my younger days - finding a vegan version was a pure delight!!). The buffalo cauliflower tacos were perfect to kick the buffalo craving that I had going. Throw in the tortilla soup and this lunch was a well rounded blast of flavors! I cant wait to be back in Philly again to make another visit!

Already loved Hip City, enjoyed the cuisine and drinks at Charlie, but this place. Bar Bombon. Just wow. The atmosphere of this place is so calm and relaxing. Ive gone three times this week because its close to work but mostly because the food is absolutely amazing. All bar staff was informative and friendly. The empanadas are bomb! Already recommended this place to several people, check it out and support some plant-based,cruelty-free, delicious food and drinks!

The host was amazing!! The waitress was nice! She didnt crowd you but wasnt too far away. My husband and I started with the black bean dip and chips and it was very good! It had a little kick to it. The buffalo taco is the way to go!! It was the perfect t amount of buffalo sauce and wrap!! I had the enchiladas and the vegan cheese was amazing!!! It was hard to believe that there wasnt cheese in it. We loved bar bombon!! We cant wait to come back!!

Cute interior, friendly staff, amazing food. I had the fried yucca, pollo tacos, and corn with butter. Chickn tortilla soup was good, but pretty spicy. Youd have no idea that everything was plant-based and dairy free unless the waiter/waitress reminds you. Eveything was delicious- the pollo tacos were not what I expected, but nonetheless still good. Perfect place for a first date, night out with friends, or post-work dinner.

The food here has been amazing every time I have been. I love bringing friends here because its a whole different take on vegan food and even my omnivore friends love it! Their cocktails are also fantastic. Their menu changes often enough to keep things fresh but they still have their classics like the Cubano (my personal favorite). Happy hour here is also great if you can get a table or spot at the bar.

Delicious and Creative Food. The SO (omni) and I (vegan) ordered a good few different dishes. Everything we ordered was delicious, and we got a wonderful spread of flavors. The drinks and desserts were great too. Some of the best vegan food Ive had anywhere. Also, the wait staff was very kind and helpful. A+. 10/10 would recommend.

Its always a pleasant experience for me and my friends/family here. Even my carnivorous friends love eating here. Its the atmosphere theyve cultivated. I can be in a foggy mood but when I come here with people or alone I always leave uplifted. Food is what fuels our body, why not recharge on fresh clean foods and friendly calm energy!

I really liked this place. The staff are very friendly and the food is pretty dope. Unfortunately, the veggie tacos were kind of bland, but the other ones with meat substitutes were really good. The cocktails are great, but I think overall this place is just slightly more expensive than it should be.

WOW! I loved the decor, the food, an the drinks! Best thing of all this place is vegan! My fiance and I went for brunch and I definitely recommend the Cubano sandwich. The drink called "La Jefa" is an amazing twist on your basic mimosa. The crispy potatoes were great! I had the tofu scramble 10/10.
