Pumpernicks is the REAL deal! So weve had the rest.. (well ok not all of them), but so far this is the BEST! Ive taken my family out to a few restaurants in the area, looking for an "authentic Jewish Deli" in our area of Abington, PA, but weve been disappointed with them all. I read a review for Pumpernicks that was good, so even though it wasnt close to where we live, we got into the car and drove. Very happy we did - What a really good restaurant! Even though we went here on Mothers Day (usually not the best day to try a new place), I was delighted that everything was very good. The place was packed with people, and both the food and the service were amazing. No need to make excuses for lousy service for being "too busy" ... even the manager was out filling coffee and stopped by to make sure we were happy. and we were! We ate breakfast foods (pancakes, bagels, eggs, french toast, etc) -everything was very good! The orange juice WAS fresh-squeezed, coffee was fresh. I think the other "Jewish deli" restaurant owners in Abington, PA (@ Schmooze) should eat here, and take notes on how to do it right! Hot food prepared right, no gimmicks, great service. Need I say more? We found a new favorite place to get breakfast! Well be back soon

Rude Waitress. I came here to enjoy a wonderful meal with family but my whole experience was overshadowed by a rude and inattentive waitress. I heard great reviews before I came in and the food was excellent. The cabbage soup was very filling & delicious. The chicken salad had just the right amount of mayo and chicken. It wasnt too chunky. The bread was also very fresh. The meal was good. However the waitress was rude and her tone was condescending. I had to ask for service and basic items like water. The hostess had to give me a bag for my leftovers. Im disappointed. Everyone deserves equal service and respect. It doesnt matter how good the food is but I will not be back for bad service. I hope they screen their future employees before they hire anymore like her. They lost my business.

Breakfast is amazing... only been there once for lunch and it was great. What can I say? I was impressed! Great price and great breakfast food. The deli sandwich i had once was SO GOOD! Loaded with meat. They certainly know how to feed you. They also have a little side shop area where they sell baked goods and.. get this.. BEER! How nice. Not going to say get all your beer here or anything because the selection is wimpy.. but just the fact they HAVE beer and its craft beer (even cider! woodchuck and strongbow!) so that just impresses me. Food: A+ Ambiance: B (the usual diner stuff) Service: B+ (always nice and usually very fast) Price is right too... not overpriced, not under priced, its just right for the food you get. and boy do you get food!

This is probably the busiest Jewish-style deli in Montgomery County. It is not kosher, as far as I can tell, though the great heritage of lox, pastrami, and matzoh ball soup are present and well prepared. One highlight is the self-service pickle bar, included as part of most meals over a certain (reasonable) price. Kosher-style dills, half-sour, cherry peppers, pickled cabbage, and other treats are available. Getting into the lot from the north side of Route 309 requires overshooting to the next traffic light and doubling back. Parking may be hard to find at peak hours. Its worth the walk if you have to park at the lower lot and walk up to the restaurant.

Easily our favorite place! It always feels like the diners are all friends and relatives, out celebrating a happy occasion. The food is out of this world! My favorites are the excellent chicken soup, knishes, tongue and other deli sandwiches, and the free pickle bar-each kind in its section, so everything doesnt taste alike. My boyfriend is not a deli fan, and theres plenty for him on the menu as well-like a hearty breakfast. The staff is wonderful-always friendly and accomodating (a special shoutout to Leslie.). OK, Ill stop my kvelling now; We are just very satisfied customers!

Usually go here for breakfast, but they offer lots of traditional deli options including a pickle bar, pastrami sandwich thats to die for, and beer to take out. The reason I am only giving three stars is because Ive now had an omelette with a bread tie in it 3 times. Im sure its just bad luck but geez. The food has always been tasty.

This is a fantastic diner. The service is always fast, they have a large variety of food to choose from, and they also have an all you can eat pickle bar! Parking is a bit of a pain, seems that no one can park straight or figure out how to get in and out of their spot in a normal fashion, be careful.

Absolutely love this place! Excellent food, friendly staff and just simple, comfortable little place. My favorites their Reuben, but for a gal my size, its always a hearty two servings worth. Parking can be a pain, but ya just go knowing it and dont stress. Foods so good that it doesnt even matter!

This place is IMPOSSIBLE to get into without waiting. Always packed, service is slower than molasses. Food is typical Jewish deli food - filling, decent flavor, portion sizes where you will have to bring things home with you. Would have ranked hire if the wait wasnt always so long.

My wife and I have been dining at Pumpernickel for quite a few years, eat breakfast there on a regular basis and give a five rating. They also have the best corn beef sandwich in the area. Also, their other entrees are superb. We highly recommend this venue.

You can only find parking by luck during lunch time near the Pampernicks Deli. Their pickle bar is the best! The menu is huge , so its hard to choose at first. My favorite is a hot pastrami sandwich. Soups are delicious too! Good choice for a casual lunch.

The food is reliably good. Sometimes the wait can be long, so plan ahead. The menu size is exceptional, which can be overwhelming to first-time guests. Most regular customers have about a half dozen menu items they typically choose among when dining here.

Great!!! After time & time, they finally had the perfect service! So friendly & quick, they really are a great local gem for a good breakfast. You go for more of the feel than the food! But they do have great breakfast specials

Best authentic Jewish cuisine anywhere near the Lehigh Valley. Matzoh Ball Soup is amazing. My favorite dish there is the chopped liver and onions on Rye. Free pickles and slaw. Reasonable prices. Gluten Free breads available.

My husband and I just spent 30 minutes waiting for a club sandwich and roast beef hoagie, and were served just a roast beef sandwich with mayonnaise. We had no time to make the order right. Roast beef was good though.
