There are a number of well known sub shops in and around Dover. The Grocery Basket beats them all. The ladies that work there are its best assets. They provide consistent quality and a cheerful atmosphere. These are true Delaware subs. I have been a customer of the location, known by different names for over 30 years and consider myself as a "sub snob". Their Cold Italian subs and cheese steaks are the greatest! My mother liked the burgers. Try them once and you too will hooked.

Ridiculously inexpensive prices. They have everything - breakfast, subs, chicken tenders, sandwiches, shrimp, you name it. They have milk, eggs, bread, and other grocery staples, but also things like cat food, soap, toilet paper and more.
