The other reviews gave high expectations that were quickly not met. Walking in, a staff member came in behind me, but I ended up waiting a couple minutes to be seated in a mostly empty dining room. Then more waiting at the booth for the waitress, giving ample time to notice the dingy surroundings. I ordered the junior slam: one piece of thick French toast, scrambled eggs, one piece of bacon and one sausage link, along with coffee. Happily the food made up for the service. French toast was flavorful and not soggy, sausage skin was crispy, as was the bacon; and the scrambled eggs were fluffy. I doubt Ill return but at least dont regret stopping

Fully agree with the last reviewers assessment. We stopped for breakfast, my wife said her egg (over easy) was perfect and that she could make a meal of just the home fried potatoes, my Penny omelet was superb, my younger daughter was over the moon with her Mickey pancake, and my older daughter summarized the whole meal by saying, "Dad, anytime we are in Pennsylvania, we have to stop here to eat!" All this for just over twenty bucks, the fast food joints dont have a chance. Prompt, attentive, courteous service too!

I had huevos rancheros, being from AZ, I miss this dish. It was pretty good. Their Salsa Verde was some of the best we have had since moving here. My husbands omelette was not good. Overcooked, flat top omelette. We prefer pan cooked, traditional omelettes, which are hard to find here. They claim to be best omelette in town, I wouldnt get one again. My husband also took a burrito home, only to find a twist tie rolled up inside it. So that will be the last time we go there. Service was also sub par.

I had breakfast here on a couple of occasions and it was great, some of the best bacon you will ever eat..So the other day I was driving by and they had chorizo tacos for $2 each posted on the outdoor sign..so I stopped and they were the best tacos I have had in the area....this diner never disappoints me.. ever !!! They have a full bar also...Some of the best Mexican food in the area..

The food is always very good and made with love. The restaurant is always very clean and spotless. I would say that tonight is officially my fifteenth visit to Yankee Doodle and I just love the staff and speedy service. If you get the chance ask for Victor (The owner) and get him to tell you the story behind the Yankee Doodle name.

The booth we were seated in was falling apart, and the highchair had some issues with the straps. But, the food was great (we came for Sunday breakfast) and the wait staff seemed pleasant. Well definitely be back. Easy on/off from 11/15.
